Lil Krueger
Seriously, there should be a club called "Star Wars: Lost Limb Club". Cause Episode 1-6 had lost limbs!(Like NOOOOO in 1-6 Episode)

Phantom Menace- Darth Maul cut in half
Clones- Anakin losing arm
ROTS- Anakin losing his legs
New Hope- The alien in the bar loses arm to Obi-Wan Losernobi
Empire Strikes Back!- Luke loses hand
Return Of the Jedi- Darth Vader loses hand.

Tulak Hord
There wasn't one in ANH, I don't think....and I saw it the other day.

Lil Krueger
I remembered!

Tulak Hord
Oh yeah. Well he wasn't a force user. All the other ones that got the limbs cut off were force users.

Lil Krueger
Still...whats up with the limbs? Im officially making a SEVERED LIMBS OF STAR WARS CLUB!!

Darth Koroni
Okay then, it's official. Amputation is George Lucas' fetish.

Illustrious
How many kinds of wounds do you think a SLASHING motion with a LIGHTSABER will leave?

That's like you're surprised there's so many gunshot wounds in a shootout or warzone. Shut the f*ck up.

InsaneNoodlyGuy
Don't forget the poor Wampa.

And since we are in Eu, I always wondered because of that limb thing if Rain/Zannah and Darovit were skywalker progenitors.

Se7in
Oh, didn't know that your torso was a limb roll eyes (sarcastic)

shoe-freak
what about dooku's dismemberment and decapitation?? did you notice that? roll eyes (sarcastic)

Se7in
Well, dismemberment is considered honorable among the Jedi. It shows that the duelist can inflict the minimal physical damage to end a conflict. Cutting off hands, arms, or destroying the enemy's saber was the choice of the Jedi, while cutting off heads or torsoes was a more dark side trend.

Darth_Janus
Using a lightsaber at all is a moral failing on behalf of the jedi, when you think about it. For being the ultimate good force in GL's galaxy, you would think they would advocate the notion of total pacifism. Just a thought...

§pearhead
But then...who would listen to them?

Darth_Janus
Probably no one, but by advocating violence as a means to an end, the jedi somewhat vaguely adhere to Tarkin's infamous "Rule by fear of force rather than force itself".

Se7in
^^ Exacly. That is why the Jedi Order will NEVER be completely passive. They must use violence. It's lke the popular saying "To maintain peace, we must prepare for war."

Darth_Janus
Yep. A flaw of sorts in the Jedi Order that was exploited by Sidious.

Captain REX
Besides, if the Jedi weren't violent, we wouldn't have anything cool to watch. stick out tongue

*LUKE flies up on the Death Star Trench*

BEN: Use the Force, Luke! Kill all those Imperials on the Death Star! Kill that defenseless fart, Tarkin!

LUKE: No, it's not the Jedi way!

*DEATH STAR blows up YAVIN IV and ENDS REBELLION*

Darth_Janus
lol... That's the downside to being moral and pacifist... You cannot match aggression with aggression. The movie -would- be very boring, unless Jedi mastered the Force to end conflicts in non-aggresive ways, likc imprisoning Sith foes, mindwiping enemies, or even using the Force to shut down the Death Star.

Ogami Itto
you saw how weak they were in the prequals WITH sabers!!

can you imagine??

Darth_Janus
Kung fu jedi, dude.

"Jedi! Freeze!"

*Insert ass kicking sounds effects here*

Nai Fohl
1)
"Jedi" is an ancient word from the Journal of the Whills meaning "Where have my limbs gone ?"

2)
For the total limbs loss:

EP II:
Headhuntress arm
Anakins arm

EP III:
Dookus hands
Grievous hands
Mace Windus arm
Anakins legs and arm

EP IV:
Arm of one dude in the Cantina on Tatooine

EP V:
Lukes hand

EP VI:
Some limbs of bounty hunters at the fight at the beginning
Vaders hand

So...more than a dozen of limbs gone during 6 films. They were later (a long time later in another galaxy far far away) used to create something called "Frankenstein".

Se7in
lol What about the loss of limb count in the first Kill Bill?

Gryn Jabar
Kill Bill is trash IMO, SW is a classic. Also, you forgot Jango's head in EP2.

Heads and torso's aren't "limbs."

Gryn Jabar
Good point.
