Here's the deal peeps...

A contest is hereby started, with the contestants being:

Superman --and-- The Human Torch

This is NOT a battle.... but a contest.

Who can wield HEAT with the greatest efficency?

There are three challenges...

1) One hundred candles in a church. Scattered all over the room. Who can light them all quickest.... without destroying the candles or any surrounding furniture...?

2) A target is encased within a cube of steel, six feet thick.... who can reach and destroy the target quickest....?

3) An avalanche is threatening a village in the Swiss Alps.... which of the heroes can evaporate the avalanche quickest before it sweeps away the entire population?

4) A group of people stuck in the mountains after the avalanche are freezing to death with hypothermia... which hero could heat them most effectively to save their lives...?

Superman is only allowed to use his heat vision to do damage to the cube... so no ripping it with his hands... whoever - he can use super-friction in the contests... if you can find scans to back it up!

Human Torch can generate awesome heat... but can he use it as effectively as The Man of Steel???

YOU decide...

1 Supes he does not have to move just look and focus

2 Torch maybe as he can reach supernova but he probably would destroy whats inside. Supes standard heat vision probably has better control and gets this done.

3. Equal they bioth fly past heating it.

4. Probably Torch as he is able to light lots of little fires and control their intensity, that said supes could also do this

Torch would beat Superman in all of these.

1. Shoots out little tiny flames
2. Supernova
3. Flies directly into it and heats up
4. Uses himself as a bonfire so to speak and warms them up.

Interesting....

Can Torch fire out those little flames faster than Supes can look and fire heat from his eyes....?

i highly doubt it.... plus Superman's focused heat vision would be less likely to melt the candles than a Torch flame blast
