What armor would Ironman need to take down Namor?
grey fox
It wouldn't matter he'd still end up dead
DarkCrawler
Iron Man is capable of taking down Namor, and likewise.
5/10 to both.
grey fox
That's bullcrap and you know it Dk , Namor flies out ,cracks the armour like an egg and kills Tony , all with his bare hands.
DarkCrawler
Iron Man is able to defeat Namor by drying him...like shown in some of their battles.
http://www.superherochat.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=94726&highlight=respect
Will he be able to do that when they are not in water, I don't know.
Iron Man of course fears to fight Namor in fair hand to hand combat...

grey fox
That was P.I.S , to really drain him of 'all his moisture and sea spawned strengh' he would have to turn him into a mummy.

Namor is not cracking any armor of IM's that he's used in the last 15yrs or so...
IM has CL100 strength too... Not as high as Namors...But CL100 none the less...
I think that Iron mans got too much for Namor on a regular basis... His firepower and tech would be just too much...
Iron man wins 8/10
jinzin
for once tony stark you and I agree...
nimbus006
I too believe Namor is not cracking Ironman's armor, and that Ironman has alot of weapons he can use against Namor, i.e repulsors, magnetic fields, solar blasts etc... but i also think Namor at full potential can take Ironman especially in hand to hand combat.
If its anything goes Ironman 7/10
If its hand to hand Namor 9/10

I agree Mr Big Member

Lucid Lui
Iron Man wins about 7/10. Due to versitility...
DrDoom101
Ironman wins this 7.56456456456/10
UltimateIronman
Ironman wins 9/10 on air/ground
Namor wins 7.5/10 on water if ironman has his water armor
If not 8/10 Ironman wins! Iron man wins!

jrodslam
Is Ironman's normal armor superior to Doom's?

Hmm....
Gives me an evil idea...

DarkCrawler
It would be harder for Iron Man to dehydrate Namor on ground, actually.

iron man's water armor is strong enough to pick up 25,000 metric tons and carry it around when his power reserves are low...

DarkCrawler
25,000 is child's play to Namor underwater...

He is nearly a child in that pic (16-18).

That ship weighs more then hundred thousand tons...

I'm not arguing with you but does it say that in the pic I can't read the words, they're too small....

You can't? Hmm...I can read them pretty well, maybe you should consider glasses...
It doesn't say the weight in the pictures, but from the size of the ship you can see that it weighs a lot, I'll get you some info on them.

okily dokily...
once again I'm not arguing with you, I'm just skeptical due to the whole spiderman lifting a train crap that was going around last week.
I don't even doubt you, I just wanted an accurate and confirmed number....

How old is Namor...?
Isn't he around a hunderd...?
DarkCrawler
Hmm. I have seemed to exaggerated the numbers.
I think the freighter was Liberty-Class freighter (it looks like so, although I am not sure). The ship weighs about 7000 tons alone, and can carry an cargo of about 10000 tonnes. This would bring the weight of the ship around 10000 tonnes. He was moving it with quite of ease, though. Sorry for confusion, the size of the ship confused me.
Here is Namor moving an fully loaded tanker, though:

Yeah. That picture happens slightly before WWII...
Namor was born in beginning of 1900's.
DarkCrawler
Ignore this double post.

About 100,000 tons.
Yeah, it is easier to lift/press things in water.
But Namor has gotten 50 ton tank eleven miles in the air and broken the crimson bands of Cyttorak...on land.

I understand it's just a guess on both thoughts when he was born and when that happened with the ship...
But my guess is that he is probebly 30-40yrs old when that happened.

He is not that old in there.
If he was born at 1900-1920, he might be 18-20 years old. He was not over 25 at least.

If he was born in the year of 1900.
And the start of WW II is 1939 he would then be older than that if that is taking place pre or post or during WW II it obviously changes that...
But i think 30's is close...
DarkCrawler
His exact birth date has never been stated...but it is on the beginning of 1900's, not exactly on the year 1900.

5/10 to both.
First 5 - Iron Man knows how to take down someone stronger than himself.
Last 5 - Namor realizes Iron Man has nads?
UltimateIronman
funny namor cant kick in the gonads! im might still win on water too even if was namor.
jrodslam
If im not mistaken, i think Namor was born in the 1920's. Thats when his father met/married Fen. He didnt meet up with Cap till the early 40's where he was around 17-19 or so.
And is Iron Man's regular day-to-day armor stronger than Dooms? There wsa an encounter with then when Namor tackled IM and damaged hi armor so bad, his heart respirator started to fail. Theres no doubts that Iron Man's armor has improved drastically over the years, but how strong is it exactly?

1. He does.
2. Of course he realizes, he is friggin' genius.
We are talking about a guy who knew ten languages when he was ten himself...and who was able to establish an corporation that was competing with Stark Enterprises in months...
