it's come to my attention that unlike eternity, oblivion is a multiversal entity. i've not seen proof to back this up, but if it's true, he may well be a match for the AM.

any thoughts on this difficult battle?

By some accounts (Secret Wars 2 and recent Defenders series) Eternity is a multiversal entity as well. While there are various Eternity M bodies theres one Eternity consciousness apparently. confused

ive never even heard of oblivion fighting in a comic like showing itself its been mentioned but i have not seen it or heard of it showing its face i say it goes down like the spectre did.

that defenders mini was nuts. entertaining, but it really did depict eternity as multiversal. course, then dormammu comes along and beats him somehow. eternity jobs as badly as galactus, i swear . . .

i thought the eternity consciousness was born with the big bang, though. marvel really needs to sort out its cosmic sh!t.

They do indeed. yes

But i always thought that the multiverse orignated from a prime universe. I thought all the divergent realities from that one universe made the multiverse hence why 616 is called the prime reality by Roma and the like. If thats the case then that goes some way into explaining a multiversal Eternity and Death. They have multiversal consciousnesses but have aspects in each reality. confused

K Von Doom
Thanos while wielding the gauntlet was watching the events of Cosmos in Collision, and he commented that Maelstrom would be a rival if no one defeated him. Maelstrom was just Oblivion's avatar. So it says something about Oblivion if his lackey is that powerful.
