Normally I stay away from making Spidey threads because of my inherent bias. But I make this because it looks like these 2 are going to be tangling in about a month (next issue of ASM).

I know nothing of Speedball, other than what I just read in his Wiki article. Apparently Squirrel Girl has a huge crush on him though....if she showed up in an ASM I'd die laughing.

So, thoughts?

and Mjolnir, and because he's sunsoaked for 30 years.

He's also pre-crisis Speedball so his powers are lots better.

Though, to be fair to Speedball here, apparently he wasn't nearly as sharp with his powers for a long time as he is now....and his wiki article said he teamed with Nova. So whatever that's worth.

And the fact that he'll likely be fighting SM means that he's probably not a pushover anymore (apparently he killed 600 people...it was a news report Peter was listening to, or rather falling asleep during, at the end of the current issue).

Speedball has capacity for pretty awesome stuff. If he has got his act together then he will be pretty cool. Otherwise, Speedball is fun to make fun of.

And maybe Squirrel Girl just passed her jobber aura onto him because of the crush (unless it was the first one).

Hmm....I believe original that is trapped in 2099 is better. Have to check again. Sphnix unleashed Speedballs powers on Spider-Man and the New Warriors, and by doing so nearly killed them all breaking every bone in their bodies. If speedball fights smart he could win.

Speedball did take out a powered up Sphinx with his powers while Spider Man and the New Warriors were getting their a$$es reamed by the Sphinx. Speedball can absorb kinetic energy very easily. Spider Man took out a young inexperienced Speedball.

Speedball has a chance. I don't know too much about current Iron Spidey though. Iron Spidey could possibly take Speedball out quicker. He just can't use physical force or it will backfire on him ten fold.

Speedball demolished a machine of which tested the strength of ones punch. Rage and Namorita were doing alright, but Speedball came along and trashed the machine in a single punch.
