well I don't think that Doom would be able to take over apokolips with Darkseid around.

He was smart enough to steal powers from Galactus and is very good with Magic so he could utilize those abilities plus he is close to Reeds intellgence

Dr. Doom pretty much rules all doesn't he?

Dr Doom dies the Parademons were supposed around Superman level in strenght and DS has infinite of them and don't forget about Mantis.
