then sure as hell Tiamut isn't gonna win that guy is just below protege how is just below LT in power magnitude, he can possibly defeat all the celestials alone

He is a Celestial.
Utrigita
that will not help him against Bubonicus, he is more powerful then eternity, death, oblivion and infinity ... combined. If the comic was true, he was actually more powerful then a holder of the IG

Bubonicus is said to be a Celestial. Who is Jakar? Stranger(Beyond #6)
Tiamut is awesome
Utrigita
Yes but in Marvel list of cosmic beings Bubonicus is stronger then the celestials by a great amount of energy.

Leo, does team one win?
leonidas
i don't know enough about all the players, but i do know bubonicus second to protege (

) is laughable in terms of that list.
yes, bubonicus gave a disease to eternity -- a disease that was wiped out by phoenix. i also know that protege's threat was ended by a celestial.
not sure who was making that list, or how many times it was edited and added to, but that list is ultimately whacked. i like masters' list better than that one.

Tiamut's Team FTW
Utrigita
ah yes young and naive
guy222
Who wins, my friend
Utrigita
Tiamut and Franklin, two celestials level beings against a abstract that can be hurt by surfer, Bubanicus that is below a Celestial IMO in powerlevel, and Jakar that is around the Strangers level.
Team one gets manhandled by Tiamut, of cause it requires that they make Tiamut notice them

Galan007
Bubonicus gives team 2 teh AIDS, ftw.

Good Morning
In GOTG, Scathan the Approver(Earth-691) is above Eternity
LT=Scathan>Eternity. Scathan is the most powerful Celestial
IMHO, Celestials>Galactus. Eternity/Death/Galactus are 'brothers'.
Its a good debate between Celestials and Galactus. Giffen's take on Galactus, he's the most powerful being. Gaiman's Eternals states Tiamut, the Dreaming Celestial is the most dangerous thing on Earth

good morning to you too

,
I'm just acquiring scraps of knowledge regarding the upper orders of Marvel's universe, from conversations/threads here and also from a few of the comics I'm reading (going over the Onslaught Reborn and the Heroes Reborn comics right now), so I guess my questions and presumptions are still rather elementary.
aren't The Celestials born of this universe?
I always assumed that Galactus was the only being to survive the previous universe and the big bang that brought about this one. that The Celestials like Elders and Eternals etc etc were all the result of this universe?
it's from that framework I tend to see Celestials as being powers that are ultimately circumspect, having a definitive origin and boundary, compared to things like the Abstracts and Galactus who by their origins and by their function are transcendent ...
anyway, I'd like to know a lot more about their backgrounds. I'm enjoying the whole Ashema-Franklin interplay in Onslaught Reborn and Heroes Reborn, but I know it's all old stuff now and probably has been 'retconned' or otherwise diminished.
also, what about the rumour that Galactus will become a Celestial when he, eventually, dies?
does that mean that the Proemial gods, T&A etc, are also merely Celestials in the making?

Yes the Celestials > Galactus there are like what a universe full of Celestials.
On three accounts Galactus has been described by the narrator as the most powerful physical being in existance

Good points, my friend
I will add a few more
Galan merged with the previous Eternity becoming Galactus. Eternity/Death/Galactus are the same age. Known in the old books as 'Brothers'.
I asked this very question about the Celestials. Who are they? Beings of energy encased in armour. Sounds like Galactus
Eternity is said to have created the Celestials. There's a theory about the Absolutes
Each Celestial has a different function. Scathan the Approver. Arishem is the Judge. Exitar is the Exterminator. Ziran is the Tester. Jemiah is the Analyzer.
Heroes Reborn featured Frankie Richards and Ashema the Listener. During Earth X, Franklin Richards is Galactus. Franklin has also been been Avatar and Psi Lord. Very powerful mutant with vast reality warping powers. In Heroes Reborn, Frankie=1 Celestial. During the Abraxas saga, Frankie and his sister Valera helped Galactus
FF Annual #26. Galactus will become a Celestial
Galactus defeated the Proemial Gods and imprisioned Tenebrous and Aegis in the Kyln. When Lord Annihilus sundered the Kyln, they were freed and got their revenge on Galactus. One of the Proemial Gods, Brio looks like a Celestial

We all can agree, Galactus is a force. Celestials as a group are badass

is Arishem tougher than Exitar?
Exitar looked a little disappointing, since a mere GodBlast cracked his armour and then Thor managed to cause him a little pain. I would have figured that it would be impossible for even all the SkyFathers together to cause anything, any pain at all, to a Celestial.
seems they're not quite so out of reach, if Thor can cause them a little pain, I'm sure an amped up Thor would rock them and a seriously amped up Surfer might even make it a fight ...

Arishem has been called the most powerful of the Celestials.
He cracked his armor with a hammer blow that shock the entire planet a IMO very impressive feat for the Celestials that a blow that can shatter a world only makes a crack larges enough for thor to jump in.
And don't forget that it was from the inside that Exitar was hurt. Outside there armor well you saw the scans yourself the entire magnetic field of a planet didn't even momentally hurt Arishem.
janus77
that's the thing, I can see why, for dramatic purposes, Exitar's armour might be cracked by Thor's mightiest blow but you have to remember these beings are supposedly Celestials. they operate on a universal level of power, toying with forces and energies powerful enough to rend galaxies ...
if a mere planet breaking attack could dent (nevermind crack) the armour of such beings, what on earth would those energies do?
basically, Celestials shouldn't even feel it, it should be like the pollen from a dandelion gently pressing against a slab of concrete ... or something of an even greater degree of contrast.

Agreed but it is possible that the attack could destroy more then a planet seeing as how when the destroyer fought the celestials a blow from it basically was useless and that blow could have destroyed a planet.
But again there had to be some hope of some kind I would vote for PIS
guy222
IMO, Arishem is more powerful than Exitar. Exitar has received the code twice from Arishem. Once to destroy the bad part of Pangoria and the second time he was goin to Exterminate the entire Watcher race.
Who's the baddest Celestial of all? hmm
Scathan the Approver is(Earth-691)
Tiamut, the Dreaming Celestial is(Earth-616)
Thor used the Godblast on Galactus. He retreated. It had no effect on Arishem
Celestials appear many places at once. Thor managed to get Exitar's attention, he was still a gnat to the gigantic Celestial who still carried out his appointed task.
