Anyway... He was also in a weakened state.

Most of the Authority would have a shot at solo-ing him, and a few definitely could (Jenny Q., The Doctor, Jack in a city).

So yeah, closing. Maybe it wasn't intended as spite, but this is a horribly lopsided battle.
