Battle takes place about a week after Galactus has just consumed a planet. He has arrived and Earth, and these heroes are all that stand in his way....

If you think Galactus would win anyway, can you think of 5 more ("normal" heroes to add to tip the balance? i.e. no phoenix, Ion, etc.

Make this after he has fed on a solar system/galaxy and add about 20 more heroes and you have a sight to behold.

Galactus.

The only people in reality that are worth a damn in this fight are Hal (and that's only because of the pis/whatnot of Quasar), Fate, Thor Girl (but she sucks 90% of the time), and perhaps Dr Strange... perhaps.
I can't even see all of them take him down.

All of the rest are irrelevant if this is an actual fight, and not just Galactus trying to eat a planet.

These powerhouses are all street level when you compare Galactus in a fighting situation. People are so quick to bring up the heroes' defeat of Galactus in various circumstances (meant to show G as being weak/bein a jobber) but they all fail to take into account that there's only a handful of instances where G actually is LOOKING for a fight. Almost every time the heroes defeat him he's about to set up his equipment to consume the planet...meaning he's hungry. He does not have a mind bent on conquest and enmity like almost all villains...he just wants to continue doing his daily grind (eating). If the line is too long at mcdonald's, he's just gonna leave and get his damn dinner at burger king. THat's the instance the overwhelming majority of the time he's been "defeated" by the heroes.

Galactus vs. In-Betweener (who had the soul gem on him), Galactus vs. Ego, vs. Tyrant, vs. Mephisto in his realm, vs. Hunger, vs. Tenebrous and Aegis, vs. Abraxas, vs. Thanos with the IG/HOTU....

...That's a small list of actual fights that big G has been involved in that don't involve consuming a planet in any shape or form. Notice that all his chosen opponents range from galactic threats, semi-abstract and abstract entities, to multiversal and dimensional threats to Thanos with various degrees of omnipotence.

So in short...when Big G looks to really throw down and consuming planets has no factor at all in the contest....just look at that list. See any street level heroes on there?

Sentry and Thor are the only ones who could STALEMATE Galactus. The rest lose horribly expecially Supermans ultra retarded clone HYPERION

Thor managed to defeat a very hungry Galactus. Galactus was very hungry given the fact that he used his technology in his fight with Ego, Thor almost got killed by Galactus but Ego saved him. Thor then retreated to a safe distance and utilized the GodBlast, the blast was capable of drawing the Biosphere energy out from Galactus and force him to retreat... would spiderman think all this he would say Thor once defeated Galactus without mention any of the circumstances.

When big G decides to fight for real he could just fire of one of those "star system destroying" blast, That would put them all down for the count.

*Galactus sit down, and begin to explain how he could kill them in 3942 different ways. The heroes look at each other, and decide that their lives value more that a stupid fight.*
