I think the strongest Galactus seen is from the MC2 universe, where Galactus ate a galaxy, ate Asgard, merged with Surfer, and evolved beyond his hunger, even changing the very form of the power cosmic.

it's an alternate universe where G wanted to hatch some plans that were so dastardly that the Living Tribunal needed to intervene and even he alone was insufficient to deal with G.
Considering there's only 1 LT in all the multiverses...it was quite an entertaining read, if not absurd.
leonidas
lol
which book does it take place in? mc2 ff?
basilisk
Lucifer convinces Galactus that the only way to permanently cure his hunger would be to feed continuously off his own vast energies, thus removing any need for external replenishment.
Galactus, wondering why he had never thought of such an obvious solution, constructs his planetary energy siphoning device around himself.
Wishing Galactus luck, Lucifer watches as Galactus flicks the switch and promptly absorbs himself, implodes into a singularity, and evaporates into the cosmic ether.
Merc
Lucifer takes dumps that are more powerful than Galactus

well, most think galactus and tyrant are relative equals. quan thinks thanos beats tyrant (not just tyrant, but a FULLY powered tyrant), ergo thanos could beat galactus. since galactus>lucifer according to him, it therefore follows thanos>lucifer as well. it's not all that complicated, really.

john allerdyce
i used to like thanos. now i despise siding with him in a vs. thread.

You seem awfully familiar. I don't let anyone's debating affect a character you do. We are different you can believe Lucy wins I am not threatened by a difference of opinion as some seem to be. Shrugs.

That was just the way Reed and the Fantastic 4 perceived the creator. It was even made a point to say as much in the issue.

... TOAA is a character too,
but it's the representative avatar the writer/artist. (the true Marvel Creators/Gods)

TOAA is the avatars of the representative writers/artists of Marvel.
100% on panel fact. (across several issues) Corroborated by the Handbooks.
I have 2 links to threads where all this was covered with the scans, let me know.
That aside,
TOAA of Marvel, is what Grant Morrison depicted himself as in Animal Man #26.

Actually yes, since Mavel's God, who is the writer decides what the Marvel characters do. He is the only who is making them do all that. He is the one who decides that Black Panther jumps 3 times and then rolls over the ground.
Gods in other comics mostly leave the characters their free will, while the One Above All is deciding simply everything.
The writers and the editors in Marvel are God, the One Above All.
No offense, really, but it would be stupid if the Fantastic Four would enter the room, see a man drawing comics and deciding what happens to the characters and instantly accept that as the norm in comics. That Galactus eats worlds, because TOAA wants him to, that Spider-Man dies because TOAA wants him to.
Yet that's how it runs, while in DC the Presence does not care if Bane breaks Batman's back and Azrael has to replace him for a while.
At least that's the way I see it.

You DO think Presence beats Big G, right?

Jynocidus
I think Galactus wins. Or at least takes 6-7/10.
abhilegend
^Based on what?
Jynocidus
Well...
based on part of the reasoning why Marvel doesn't play too much into religious matters.
Galactus can consume both Heaven and Hell, so I don't see why he couldn't handle Lucifer.
I just considered what would happen if both universes merged, and what an abstracts role would be...
Balance has to be there. Of course Balance can be...tipped at times, but I don't see Lucifer Morningstar outright negating the aspect of balance in a continuity.
Although...it could happen, that's why I say 6-7/10. And yeah, I understand that the way DC wrote it, it was portrayed as them being the first creations and all but still.
guy222
galactus cannot consume heaven
he's powerful not on the level of lucifer
