Same way he beat Legacy. Tactical genius. Slade has some mental control over his healing factor also, I forgot that. He can speed it up or slow it down according to what I just read. Not that it matters since Nth metal increases that.

He can heal cuts in seconds, gunshots in a minute, but can fight while suffering from both.

And yet he was unconscious for two days because of puncture wounds and lacerations.
