I didn't know that, but I'm calling shenanigans. After Lobo and the Nu Lobo fiasco, then later Logan dying, his immortality is all we have left. It was a Skull, or evil Deadpool taking his place, or faked death. Anything but death death.

you can have immortality and discorporation

and then reform

a lot of characters do this - loss of physical shell- go through a story-arc or two- then reform on or off panel

one particular one where the -don't think about it too hard law- comes to mind is the well known - total discorporation atoms scattered throughtout the universe / or the timestream ..... some off panel recorporation..... and they're back

He'll be destroyed. But his warranty is good. He'll get reformed.
