Can magic defeat Phoenix?

merlin is such a tough character to use in a battle forum. kind if all over the place. gotta say phoenix takes him though, but i wouldn't be surprised to see merlin have something up his sleeve. i wouldn't say a sweep just because merlin is so hard to peg down. what do you think galan?
