Instead of perfect cell, SSJ2 Teen Gohan takes on LSSJ Broly, who wins?

Bonus: If Gohan loses, Broly will fight ASSJ Vegeta, ASSJ Trunks and Piccolo.

Gohan wrecks him brutally.

From the way Broly violated adult Gohan I can't see ssj2 Gohan wrecking him.

That Broly was stronger having just recovered from a near death experience. On top of Gohan being weaker at that time. SSJ2 Teen Gohan is much stronger. And Cell is arguably stronger than Broly in his first movie.

Wait, as in Broly from the first movie? He gets eaten by SSJ2 teen Gohan, lol.

Young gohan ssj2 was ruthless. Punching holes in ppl, kicking and chopping heads off.

Well think of it this way, Adult Gohan, while weaker than his SSJ2 self, was stronger than Cell still. Dabra was slightly > Cell according to Goku measuring his ki, and Gohan was more or less equal with him.

Broly straight up stomped him, no sold him, etc. I honestly don't see the stomp. In anyone's favor.

After Super Saiyan status was achieved, not a single saiyan was recorded to have a power up from a near death experience ever again. Not Vegeta after #18, not Goku after #19, not Gohan after buu, etc. Before that, every single time a power up was achieved, it was mentioned in some way. Whether by the character himself or others like Frieza. I don't see Broly having got a power up. Even if he had though, I'm using his strongest form so...it's irrelevant.

It wasn't stated, but it was obvious. And how do you know Vegeta and Goku didn't get a power up? Granted they had more training the next time they fought but they were still stronger. Even Cell got a power up after the Super Saiyan forms were achieved. All saiyans get a power up after a near death experience, the tougher the opponent the bigger the power up, that's what Vegeta said. Broly got a hole punched through him, hit by a meoterite, drifted through Space and got frozen to boot. He would wake much more powerful than before. I'm thinking at least 20%.

There's nothing obvious about something that is neither shown or stated. it's simply not showing. If you can cite a single power up, notably, for a saiyan recovering from a near death experience, than I'll concede.

But power ups before the super saiyan, were always notable. Vegeta's strength against Frieza like quadrupled at one point.

That said, it isn't relevant as the strength would still apply to Broly and it would essentially guarantee he does not get wrecked.

Let me put it this way. Broly really wanted to kill Goku. He was punching and throwing the Z fighters around like dolls. The Cell Jrs were a little stronger than Trunks and Vegeta. When Broly throttled Vegeta he still lived. Broly never seemed to be holding back. So say Broly was fighting the Cell Jrs. He would throttle them like he did Goku. But SSJ 2 Gohan hit them once and they full on exploded. That puts SSJ 2 GOhan well ahead of Broly in his first appearance as he didn't fully implode the Z-Fighters with a single punch. So either Broly got stronger in the second coming or Gohan got DRASTICALLY weaker than teen Gohan.

That's a bit flawed.

Plot is what saved Goku, let's not get ahead of ourselves. Even after his near death experience, Goku couldn't put a speck of dust on Broly. Nor could trunks or Gohan. In fact, all were taken our just as easy as they were the first time by Broly. Vegeta lived because Broly felt like it too. Why else besides plot would Broly have stopped squeezing his head?

The movie just couldn't revolve around Broly punching holes through the series' heroes. Cell Jr's on the other hand, were very much disposable characters. Gohan did get weaker, he became only slightly stronger than Perfect Cell. It's the ease at which Broly pounded him that confirms that you're stance though: "Gohan wrecks him brutally." cannot be correct.

How is this even a debate, Brolly utterly stomps Gohan.

This is a prime example of why I don't debate anymore.

Drama, what would have happened if Broly ripped apart the main characters of the Dragon Ball Series? Movie's over everyone, everyone died, the end. It just wasn't going to happen.

Agree to what, I never put a proposition out for you to agree to. I just pointed out that he stopped because he couldn't kill the main characters. You're main argument is "WELL IF BROLY IS SO POWERFUL, WHY DIDN'T HE WIPE OUT THE CAST OF DRAGON BALL Z? HUH?!" You see the flaw I'm sure? It's the same reason that Cell Jr's, which were more or less equals to ascended super saiyans, were able to strike Yamcha without tearing his body parts off. They weren't exactly considerate of life.

So? Will you continue to ignore the purpose of the thread? Because Gohan isn't stomping anyone, and you've helped prove that just fine.

As for this thread I guess it kinda depends where you'd place Bojack compared to Broly? Since he's the only other foe that faced SS2 Teen Gohan besides Cell.

Like he seemed to be thrashing everyone up until Gohan went SS2 and then he was like no match what so ever. The first Broly movie I'd say was before they faced Cell, Bojack I'd say takes place after Cell seeing as how Goku has passed and Gohan can achieve SS2, this begs the question how does Bojack compare to Super Perfect Cell, you'd think Gohan would be stronger by the time the Bojack film but maybe it's just cause the costumes in Bojack are sick (Seriously I still wait for a game to let me have Teen Gohan in Goku's outfit and Trunks in that sweet vest) haha but that aside Cell put up a fight against SS2 Gohan so idk, Vegeta while sick as **** seemed to get beat down by both, Bojack wasn't even in his super form yet. Yea young gohan was awesome in that movie...and i think it was stated im not sure i havent watched it in a while that bojack was as strong as cell.

Toriyama has stated before that he wanted gohan to be the main character after goku had died. He wanted gohan to take up his fathers mantle as the protecter of earth. He was getting tired of the idea that goku had to be the one to kill everybody. The editors wouldnt allow him to go that direction though they wanted goku to return. Toriyama wasnt allowed to do what he wanted with the series which is why some would say the buu saga isnt as good as others.

Yeah trying to power scale canon and non-canon events can be draining. Sometimes I wish the Broly movies never happened so I didn't get a headache thinking about its contradictions.

All of Dragon Ball is a contradiction. If you sit back and laugh at it without taking it to serious its very cool. Broly is just another one of the many stories to add to the legacy. They prolly don't have time to sit around comparing power levels all day like we do. If they did nothing would be produced.

Dbz is litterally one of the most inconsistant manga/anime out there its writing is sub par compared to other manga.

Yea he was way more powerful, it took to much time from Gohan to decide to kick his ass. Watching his friends suffer, watching his father die, then his father having to talk to him from the after life and talk him through the whole fight before and after he died. He lacked the willpower on his own. IIRC correctly Goku had just come off of being sick with heart disease and and just didn't have what it took to get it done. Broly ferocious fighting spirit, he would not have problems wrapping that fight up a few times over.

Classic Quanchi approach. Gohan's mental state and little ***** attitude will not impact his strength. With only one arm he stated that his Kamehameha would only be half power and it was on par with super perfect cell's "solar" (as some call it) Kamehameha. I'm assuming Vegeta won't be around to **** things up so Gohan will just Kamehameha Broly away.

Gohan simply lacked with mindset against Cell. The fact he was able to match and exceed his energy projection, means mindset is irrelevant to how powerful he is

Yea Bojack from what I recall had some interesting stuff in it. If these fights here are considered raw match ups and don't consider the characters then I understand Gohan would win. I thought this was a Exact Replica of the fight but subbing Broly for cell.
