Celestial = power of Galactus, or at least not far from it. Definitely above a Watcher.

i always believd they were equal in power but the celestials used cosmic when the watchers used Psionic Energy

Psionic Energy, which is assumed to be an invisible, unknown form of energy generated by all living brains that has the ability to manipulate other forms of matter and energy.

The Power Cosmic is a force that can alter reality, allowing the user to do whatever he/she wants (including breaking the laws of physics) only being limited by how much cosmic energy the character can tap at a time. It seems to be part of the universe itself, and is mostly used by Cosmic Entities.

Tough call but I'm betting the Celestial, barely, wins this one. The Watchers are pretty damn powerful themselves.

Oh...this would be a LONG staring match to start with. Maybe last a generation!

watcher's were captured OUT of continuity, though it has been believed watchers and celestials are natural enemies - watchers have oathes of NON-interference, while the celestials are ALWAYS tampering and experimenting.

as far as galactus=celestial, i'm not so sure of that. feat wise, celestials have done FAR more than galactus in continuity. in an early ff, the watcher was said to be equal to galactus, or at the least enormously close to him in power. and don't forget, that was just ONE watcher. the whole race of them (how many i don't think has ever been said) would be an impossibly difficult foe for nearly any being to handle.

i beleive the watchers are generally on the same par with the celestials it's just that the celestial seem to use/show more raw power compare the the watchers who are passive

A single Watcher and a Celestial should have a hard and long battle with the Celestial emerging victorious in the end. After all Exitar had to wait eons to build up the energy needed to purge all the watchers (gathered on the same planet) from existance.

doesn't the immeasurably vast distance between Ashema's powers and Loki's 'powers', reflect that of say Galactus and Odin too?

'cos Loki's Odin's son, he's a rival to Thor, similar levels ... and at their (Asgardian) levels, such minor differences in power matters little, when put against beings of Celestial order.

Nice I actually still have taht comic. It cam it a cool silver cover. In that same arc. Celestials were killing watchers. Granted the Watchers just stood there and took the killing, the celestials a certainly capable of killing a watcher. On a side note, Psi-Lord attacked a single watcher (i guess to force him to defend themselves) with everthing he got and watcher was like "huh, what do you think your doing?" and PSi-lord got wtf pawned in the brain lol.

IMO They are of equal or very similar strength and powers but Celestials are far more aggressive and will beat a watcher.
