Actually this is true, someone told me once that Padme didn't really die but that she got plastic surgery to escape the evil villainz! She then called herself Leia, that's why she can remember Padme, because she is!!

actually i think that it is an interesting question.

since padme's death is supposedly the strong motivating factor for anakin's turning to the Dark side..one would wonder whether things would have been different if she did not die at the first place.

he most probably still turn to the dark side..cos being all angry and stuff..like when he 'choked' padme..
