Anyway after the DVD is out most members will likely sever any ties that they had with this KMC Episode III Forum. I probably will. After the DVD is out, it'll be like, okay. Now anyone and everyone is free to view the movie legally whenever they darn well please. So the hype will be gone.

Regarding stupid threads: How's about starting with "QUEEN BALBOA'S (or whatever) BLUE CHOCOLATE MILK BAR OFFICIAL THREAD (or something to that affect) .....yeah. 1,000s of replies...

On topic, I was going to buy the movie in fullscreen but changed my mind after watching the dvd trailer which contained some footage in fullscreen. So I'm buying widescreen.

I work at Blockbuster, so as employees we get the movies a week before general public, so I'll be watching it this weekend on a big screen. And next weekend, my school is playing here at your theater. So I might go watch it on a big movie screen one last night. I go to UConn by the way.

Widescreen...ordered from Walmart.com...and please, I have a midterm that day, so after classes...Star Wars all night on my Mac ;-D

why in the hell would you buy it on release day and not watch it?

I couldnt give a flying feck whether I buy it on release day or not....in fact I probably wont. The 'other' copy is good enough to last until I eventually buy it, but I want to get a prequel box set instead....I dont have any of the prequels on dvd and I dont plan to until a box set comes out.

I think every fan would be VERY wise to purchase a copy or two on opening day as they'll likely be harder to come by as the year ends. (It's always the least expensive the first opening 5 days--not a full week.)

Since Lucasfilm is trying to reduce the number of returns, they'll be fewer in the marketplace. Then they'll likely place all the movies in "the vault" ala Disney for when they plan to market the super-de-dooper DVD in which you pay through the nose for an actual cardboard exterior case!

I purchased the Episode II dvd in fullscreen, but only because I'd never seen it in theaters and hadn't realized how much of the screen was cut out. With RotS, though, there's more action to the sides than either of the other prequels, and there's way more going on in every shot. You don't want to miss any of it...the extra detail to the sides of the movie was put there for a reason...for everyone to see.

Also, you lose some of the visual quality when you buy pan & scan versions of movies.

With as much action as Revenge of the Sith has, you don't want to see only part of the picture.
