We've got 2 movies we're dealing with here:

1. The Mummy

2. Duck Tales: The Movie - Treasure of the Lost Lamp

You might be asking, what could these two movies have in common?

The answer: Dijon and Beni. That's right. The character (not the actor) Dijon in Duck Tales is EXACTLY the same as the character Beni in The Mummy.

When the makers of The Mummy were trying to come up with the character Beni, they were watching Duck Tales and when they saw Dijon they said "That's it! That's exactly what we need in our movie!"

Look at the evidence. They're both sniveling, whining, cowardly, skinny, camel jockeying, greedy assistants that would backstab you for a nickel and are only worried about their own skin. Their voices and mannerisms are similar in a way that is uncanny. They both have the same type of role in the two movies and you could easily switch one for the other without affecting the movie at all.

Discuss.

Good point, thanks for pulling that out. But then again that type of character is used frequently in Cinema these days. A person who only cares for themselves, and would risk their life just to get a little something here or there. I would think of someone at the moment, but I am suffering from a brainfart.
