But, Lex doesn't have a company currently.
His empire fell apart a bit before the Crisis.
It'll be back though, you can't hold a guy like Lex down.

Other than that, Lexcorp is a much better company.

Actually, Waytech is considered to be significantly wealthier than LexCorp. Lexcorp gets more attention because it's in Metropolis and Lex is a higher profile exec than Wayne.

But in terms of tech "feats", LexCorp has better showings.

Plus he had a domination over the B13 tech, and used it to stranglehold the entire tech market.

iirc, TV Guide asked the creators and publishers of characters to calculate the estimated fortune of their characters. DC submitted Bruce Wayne as being the wealthiest man in DC, worth a couple of hundred million more than Luthor, who is their #2.

Both of them fell short of the wealthiest fictional character of all time - Richy Rich. I think they fell short of Scrooge McDuck too.

Lex is NOT the wealthiest man in DC (currently he is not even close, and at his prime he was not). He was one of the wealthiest at his peak, but not the wealthiest.
The wealthiest is Bruce Wayne.
Now, with some of the events happening (eg some of the takeovers going on, some associated with the Red Hood and others due to yet to be revealed characters) that might change (or it may not), but Bruce is top dog in cash terms.

Lex has all the goods to prove how he's richest, Bruce doesn't.

Lexcorp: At its peak it is a vast conglomerate that deals with bleeding-edge technology. Furthermore it not only produces the best high-tech on earth, but also due to some deals Lex did with Darkseid they have some technology derived from Apokolips. Thus in terms of certain core competitive advantages Lexcorp has a definite edge (particularly in high-tech).
Waynetech: the Wayne firm began as a medical thingimajig (even in the comics), but now it is a hegemon with tendrils in virtually every market segments .....from tech to finance to you-name-it. And it also has cutting edge stuff (although maybe not to the same level as LexCorp), and is advanced enough to allow Bruce to have all his toys (and I am not talking about batarangs ......think along the lines of the satellite Bruce put up that turned into one of the main antagonists in the OMAC project). Waynetech is also far better managed than Lexcorp (for one it is still bringing in money while Lex ran Lexcorp tot he ground, and was even usurped and KICKED out of his own creation). Bruce is also far wealthier than Lex, and apparently hires better staff to take care of his biz (one major issue with Lex, WHEN he ran LexCorp, is that the company was basically only a source for coming up with ways to kill Superman. Now, Batman does use Waynetech for 'toys and stuff,' but it is still a viable entity that stands alone).

If I had to chose one company to own it would definitely be WayneTech.

That is NOT (I repeat: not) correct.
Bruce Wayne is richer than Lex Luthor, and the forbes magazine stated the same.

Wayne, Bruce

Age: 38
Source: Inheritance; Software
Net Worth: $6.3 Billion
Hometown: Gotham City
Marital Status: Single

Prominent playboy had tough year. Charged with murdering old-flame Vesper Fairchild. Exonerated partly through efforts of mysterious Batman and other costumed crime fighters. Shares of Wayne Enterprises, where he is chairman, languish based on lower-than-expected profits and Gotham City's sky-high crime rate. Orphaned during street mugging at age eight, went on to build then-tiny Wayne Enterprises into technology powerhouse. Rumors swirl over habit of keeping teenage boys as wards. Donates tens of millions each year to charities for police, paraplegics and orphans. Member since 1939. --Matthew Herper

Luthor, Lex

Age: 40
Source: Technology
Net Worth: $4.7 Billion
Hometown: Metropolis
Marital Status: Single

Forced to place holdings in LexCorp in blind trust after being elected president of the United States in 2000. Also in trust: Significant real estate holdings and investment portfolio. Before election, Lex perhaps best known for railing in public against Superman and other super-powered beings, which he believes cause normal human beings to become less self-reliant. Grew up in slums, but went on to make first fortune from peddling flying cars, rocket jetpacks and weapons to the military. Conglomerate includes pharmaceutical, biotechnology and investment bank arms. Took over company two decades ago and named after self. Prominent supporter of medical charities. Member since 1940. --Matthew Herper
