Anyone has? Me loves.
I just signed up this week. They have everything.

Ever since Blockbuster implemented their no late fees policy its been impossible to find anything. It became such a pain in the ass having to drive down just to drive back home empty handed.

Like this Tuesday, went down to get Serenity, all 20 copies rented.

So I figured enough is enough and singed up for Netflix on Tuesday night, got Serenity on Thursday.
Love love love.

They have everything on DVD. I'm renting movies I haven't seen in years and movies I've never been able to find at Blockbuster. Plus it only takes them 1 day to arrive at your home, free shipping. It's heaven. I'll have something new to watch every night.

If you've been thinking about signing up, do so. It is so worth it! thumb up

BackFire
Yeah, my friend does it and it's great. I'd do it but I have so many movie rental outlets around here that I don't really need to.

debbiejo
We had Netflix...used it a whole lot....It's a great deal if you're into movies............

Lana
We just got it, it's awesome big grin

Tptmanno1
Been bugging my parents about this for a long time.
I wants it!

Tex
Its super fantastic. Such a convenience. Plus you can rent artsy fartsy movies you'd be too embarrassed to check out in person. naughty

Such a time saver as well. yes

debbiejo
Yeah, you just fill up your Que and when you return a movie, they send out the next one...As many as you want a month, but only 3 movies at a time..Our movies got here with in 24-48 hours.

hotsauce6548
I would, but it probably wouldn't be worth it to me. I go to a small video-renting outlet--not Blockbuster--and they usually have whatever I want.

Jeez, lol.

Bump May up a bit, a couple of weeks is too long to wait for such a great film.

Koala MeatPie
So how do you return the films?

Lana
By mail, it comes with a postage-paid envelope I think.

(we just got netflix a few days ago)

debbiejo
Yes it does.

Talking_Owl
Yeah, I hear great things about Netflicks. I'm considering getting it.

MetallicaT
i swear they are holding my movies longer then they should be...i live not even 1/2 hour away from a distribution center and sometimes it takes them 2 days, after they receive a movie from me, to ship a new one...when i started it was fast, now its slow as hell... miffed

That could mean you are requesting a movie that is more obscure than the popular releases. They stock the popular movies at the nearby DC's and only at a few places in the country (nearest one for me is in NJ), they keep the lesser-known titles.

The easiest way to notice this is to look on your return envelope. If it has the address of the DC that's 1/2 hour away, you got a popular movie. If it has one further away, you got a harder-to-get title.

** EDIT ** Also, mail traffic around Xmas time is slow and may explain your recent delays.

MetallicaT
yeah yeah yeah...thats what they said

but this has been goin down for awhile now, and not just on obscure titles either

botankus
Maybe they are having trouble staffing enough people to accommodate the workload the increased subscriptions requires.

MetallicaT
or...(got this from http://kellerclub.com/dvd/maildvdrental.htm)

"There is a term people use called "Throttling", which means your DVD shipments will be throttled back if you are a "heavy user". You can see in the Netflix tables above that I averaged 18 movies per month for the first 4 months, but only 12.7 movies per month in the final 3 months of the test period. Which is probably why Netflix was hit with a class action suit for; false advertising (Rent all the DVDs you want), unfair and deceptive trade practices, breach of contract as well as claims relating to the Company's statements regarding DVD delivery times. Personally, I feel that Netflix gives you a false-sense-of-service in the beginning, and then pulls the rug out from under you. But, if you are not a heavy user...as I was, you will probably not notice any throttling."

I'll send you some of my choices, then, if it's making you upset. I usually sit about five or six days on each movie.

agent 009
i have blockbuster. is netflix better?

MetallicaT
their basically the same, netflix has a slightly better selection and website but blockbuster gives you 2 free coupons for in store rentals each month....

what do you mean some of your choices?

botankus
Well, I guess I can't, but I'm just saying 'tis a shame that I waste three or four days between receiving and shipping when you are more efficient.
