Either way, he's not getting a majority.

He's generally highly overrated, much like Majestic was for a while when people where calling him Pre Crisis level over space cheese feats. On paper hes a beast in practice he's a more consistently high end street level guy. He's not superior to Cap Deathstroke or Wolverine. Or Batman, at this point. Ellis writes Batman stalemating Jakita Wagner.

Same argument can be made for Tcharlie. Except Tcharlie has all these "amps" like tech, vibranium, bast and undead that Mids doesnt.

Even in this battle op stripped Mids of doors whilst Panther STILL has his teleporting abilities.

It's good to have on record which version of the character we're talking about. if it's current version, then none of his wildstorm feats count because the way his abilities work were retconned in new52.

Zack M
New 52 Midnighter is more impressive, IMO.

If you were to use the Midnighter from Ellis/ Mllar era of Authority, then there's no way that "high end street leveller" is describing him accurately at all. Go back and have a look at the comics, he was coming up with feats WAY in excess of that paltry definition.

T'Charlie loses. He just isn't as good as Midnighter.

but there are certain arguments that can/can't be made, depending on which version of Midnighter we're using.

He's done little to nothing outside of a more consistently high end a list martial artist.

Zack M
Who hasn't?

laughing Have you actually read the early Authority? Bracketing that version of Midnighter as 'high end a-list martial artist' is like calling Nightwing 'acrobat' or Bullseye 'offensive weapons expert'. Totally missing the point.

As much as people on here think Midnighter gets overrated, it truly pales in comparison to the sad desperation of the T'Charlie lovers who just will not let their hero go no matter what.

I bought the Authority as it originally came out son. I have every Authority story.

Midnighter is the equivalent of an enhanced a list streetleveler like Deathstroke or Wolverine with a more consistent high end portrayals.

And no he's nothing say Batman hasnt defeated. In the least. TChalla is easily his peer.

He failed to defeat Zealot, who had the fight of her life against a Satelite Era Batman. Panther. Has better tech is more durable and the better strategist. no computers don't trump spiritually enhanced minds . he wrecked Ezekiel Stane an Extremis enhancile with both hands tied behind his back.

Zack M
Thats why I said new 52 Mids is better. On the DCU earth he is ranked as one of the best fighters according to Prometheus.
