i know the nature of force lightning has been argued on here, as well as its effect on organic matter but im curious as to how it interacts with the nonliving physical world.
we havent seen it directed at anything that wasnt alive and the only thing that its really hit is vaders suit, and it may or may not have critically damaged it. it could have been vader himself that was more suseptible to it and the force of the emperor exploding that did the more significant damage to his suit.
even so it only seemed to have damaged the internal workings of it, not the armor itself. that said, if sidious were to direct his lightning on a door or a chair or something similar what would its effect be. does it only damage circutry and living things or could it be used against doors if a lightsaber is missing, or against droids who have shields?
