I doubt Crash will get many Oscars... I can see it getting Best Screenplay, but not much else... sadly.

Brokeback Mountain seems to be the main contender but I've yet to see it. Also Cinderella Man should be up for a few. I'd like to se Munich nominated too...

I can see Episode III being nominated for VFX but I don't think it'll win. Nor should it. It will probably go to King Kong which, although there are some terrible shots, deserves it most. Kong is a great achievement in VFX.

MildPossession
The Constant Gardener should get something! I will be happy with that.

DarkWizard
I'm thinking Chronicles of Narnia for best sound.

And Jarhead defiantly deserves something.

I was thinking King Kong for best cinematic achievment?

Solo
As long as Crash gets something, I will be pleased.

what are the categories?

jaden101
i think ray fiennes for the constant gardener or Philip Seymour Hoffman for capote will get best actor

best film will probably be brokeback mountain (although i didn't like myself)

best cinematography should go to jarhead.

beyond that i have no idea

Punker69
After "Crash" not having success at the Golden Globes im beginning to think it will be overlooked at the Oscars. "Brokeback Mountain" and "Walk the Line" look to be getting all the attention. The studios should've released it towards the end of last year.

Murray
The Constant Gardener and Good Night, and Good Luck should win best picture.

Philip Seymour Hoffman: actor
Reese Witherspoon: actress
Rachel Weisz: supporting actress
Paul Giamatti: supporting actress
Constant Gardener: cinematography
Chronicles of Narnia: score
Fernando Meirelles: director (I'm so sick of seeing Ang Lee)
Visual effects is a hard one, between Harry Potter, Chronicles, or King Kong

other categories will be announced later

Eis
BEST PICTURE - Brokeback Mountain

ACTOR IN A LEADING ROLE - Russel Crowe for Cinderella Man

ACTOR IN A SUPPORTING ROLE - George Clooney for Syrianna

ACTRESS IN A LEADING ROLE - Reese Witherspoon for Walk the Line

ACTRESS IN A SUPPORTING ROLE - Rachel Weisz for The Constant Gardener

CINEMATOGRAPHY - Brokeback Mountain

DIRECTING - Ang Lee for Brokeback Mountain

These aren't necessarily my personal choice but I think it's gonna go something like that.

Murray
I'm unbelieveably sick of hearing of Brokeback Mountain. Just because it's about a couple of gay cowboys, people think its amazing and open because of the whole gay rights crap going on. My "friend" says...

THIS MOVIE HEARTS MEN

He WOULD say that.

If that were true all the other good "gay-themed" movies would be as famous.
Have you actually seen the movie?
Either way, as I said, those aren't all my personal choices, it's just who or what I think is going to win what.

.Dance_Inside.
blah..I do not want Brokeback Mountain to win for best picture no I'd rather Walk the Line win yes

I don't either but it most likely will. I'd rather Sin City would get that award.

MildPossession
Crash, The Constant Gardener, and Good Night and Good Luck have got a lot of nominations at our BAFTA's this year. Constant Gardener has the most with ten nominations!

A great movie, but 'Best Picture' is pushing it a little bit.
