Powers: As an immortal god, Ares possesses vast strength and endurance. His physical attributes are superior to the majority of Olympian gods. He is able to lift approximately 70 tons. He has virtually inexhaustible stamina, not tiring appreciably after any exertion. Like all immortals, Ares cannot die by any conventional means. His life force is beyond the reach of mortal injury. DC Ares is a lot cooler. He looks like mags with the justified use of helmets.

DC's looks much edgier, but Marvel's gods are in a different league from DC's.

Marvel gods use anything even guns. See the new Ares series. Dunno if that could help him here though

what it says is that his armer is nearly indestructable he took over most of the U.S and russian armies can controll any weapon and that the only reason he was stopped from having the two super powers destroy each other is cause wonderwomen showed him using her magic laso is that if he did destroy the world he would have no followers and thus would lose all his powers and die i think later he gave a magic laso to the new wonder women or whatever with a lightning bolt from zues sooooo can MU ares almost destroy the world using his own power? this is good for all you guys who think DC pantheions are jobbers oh and dont forget the godess circe had all the gods fight once and she's just another one of wonder womens villains once again a good example of DC gods power for all you who think they are jobbers that seems like a pretty high feat compared to any of the MU's gods powers but thats just me what do any of the rest of you say?

Just some minor nitpick. They are following each other. The new ares is set post ragnarok and MU greek pantheons are afraid the same could befall them. Then it was revealed Ares some time ago had enough of life as one of the pantheons and decided to spent time on earh instead.

However, the upgrade part might be more than feasable in the near future.

Marvel Ares is badass. He ended a stalemated war between Zeus and Hades by defeating Hades army.

It seems the Norse God of War, Tyr, is a lot like Ares (at Marvel anyway.) Always making plots against the realm eternal - these two must resent not being the favourite, and see how Thor and Hercules get so much more attention and respect.

Anyway, I might lean towards Marvel Ares, unless his DC counterpart shows something more.

Power wise DC Ares is above. Hes more the Mars of rome. Marvel Ares is more the original greek version. A better figther.

Hercules and Ares I think are equal, but hercules has defeated more often then not. I heard the same thing that ares is suppose to get an upgrade in the end of the series, I say have and wait and see at the end of ares 6-part miniseries.

DC Ares seems to act like more a manipulator, like Loki - getting pawns to do his dirty work. Not like Marvel Ares, who gets his hands dirty and revels in the bloodshed. Curious.

From what I've seen, Skyfathers at DC are somewhat less powerful than the ones at Marvel. The power of Marvel's Odin & Zeus doesn't diminish if there is a lack of belief in them in the world - that's how DC Ares was able to get more powerful than other Gods.

Their fighting styles would be a contrast. DC Ares would be full of bragging bravado, while Marvel Ares would be lunging to bite his ear off.

DC Ares pwns Marvel Ares. He has absolute control of all weapons and he controls the dead.
