Frodo is led by 7 brave Warriors to Mount Doom to distroy the Ring. As they start from Rivendell they must make there way to Moria then head thru the Dead marshes. From the Dead Marshes head to Helm's Deep and help defend the wall. After that they must make way to the Pelennor Fields, where The War of the Ring reaches a critical climax on the Pelennor Fields, and where tens of thousands of warriors clash in the battle that will decide the fate of Middle-earth.
It's a very long journey just to get to the Pelenor Fields cuase they from all the way from Rivendell. Its also these vast plains of Pelenor fields that the armies of Sauron -- including Orcs, Easterlings and Haradrim -- lay siege to the forces of Gondor and Rohan in a bid to capture the White City of Minas Tirith. From theere they must make way into Minas Tirith to meet up with Gandolf and prepar to led the Army to Mount Doom and distroy the Ring forever.
Remember from the time they leave Rivendell the Witch King and his army of 5000 Orc's are on the trail to kill them all. Frodo and the 7 Warriors have a 1 day led on the Orc armey as they leave Rivendell heading for Moria. Can they do it?
