cmon pick aquaman....i am desparate now.....

ahem...I would appreciate a response

Kyle wins 9/10. The only reason that Aquaman wins one is that Kyle can't stop laughing enough to fight when he calls to a school of cod for help.

no. Kyle would win even then, and have a great cod dinner that night

Aquaman loses, as much as I like him.

Against any other one, he just uses his yellow belt as a knuckle duster.

GL wins this.......i mean curbstomps him or throw him to space and see if he could get back to earth in his own power.

It's funny: fights that havent been done yet on this site largly fall under two headers: those that are super one sided (this fight) and fights that actually have been done, just one or more of the characters is in a different state (i.e. supes vs hulk, kc supes vs flash. ect...)
This fight wasnt responded to for a while because its not even a fight. Due to GL's range, this is about as difficult as if a guy with a gun attacked him. It's possible that he gets shot, but it's also possible that he trips on his way down some stairs and dies. get my point?
Aquafan, I suggest you learn about aquaman or anyone you plan to pit him against in the future. thank you.

HOWEVER, Aquaman has the problem of being an extremely powerful character who is in a GROUP made of characters that are beyond extreme.
Aquaman may be a Lamborghini Murcielago, but the rest of the JLA are freakin' supersonic fighter JETS.

Thus he pales, even THOUGH he is an extremely capable character, and in the Marvel Universe would truly shine.

Anyways, Aquaman versus Kyle.

Well, unless there is a fair amount of PIS/CIS, then Kyle will win ....and win easy.
The only way Aquaman could win is if Kyle came within range of physical attacks, in which case Aquaman could basically crush his head with one hand.
However for that to happen GL would have to land, go up to Aquaman,and not defend himself.

The other way would be through telepathy.
Aquaman can mess someone up real bad (and real quick), but then again this requires 'cooperation' from GL.
IF Kyle doesn't want to he will not be within range .....note that Aquaman's telepathy, while VERY strong, is NOT Martian Manhunter strong.

Anyways, Kyle wins this.
As I said, Aquaman has many abilities .....but one doesn't match a sportscar, even a super-fast one like the McLaren F1, against a military fighter-jet.

Thus: Kyle 10/10

He actually has a faccet of comics named after this-The Aquaman Effect. Oddly, it can be applied to Superman too-His own, considerable detective skills pale compared to Batman's and MM's.

wow... I am glad of that long post, Spetz. I really didnt realize that Aquaman was so powerful, and completely underrated him. In fact, had I not seen your arguement for why he still loses, I might have voted for him.
I think also, that if Aquafan knows his guy as well as Spetz, which I somehow doubt... then I should apologiz to him, for I sort of told him off a bit, and was wrong. So, assuming that you are truly a good fan, I apologize.

Aquaman is damn powerful, true. But just really really pales in comparison to a high level gl like kyle.

Aquaman sucks. I'm sorry but Aquaman's telepathy wouldn't make him one of the strongest in Marvel.

Sorry aquafan, but it really doesn't matter which GL Aquaman's fighting. Even Ch'p owns him badly.

People view Aquaman as one of the weaker J leaguers. You should match him against marvel characters.

Soory to say, but there's a lot of PIS and CIS in there. A rookie Kyle that wasn't using the ring to it's potential (a ring that never should've been able to come off)? Put them against each other now (even with Aquaman's new hand), and take away the CIS, and Kyle takes it pretty easy.

Oh yeah, i know that that little skirmish in no way represents how a fight between the current versions would go. Kyle definately wins.

Now look here you !!! I know more about aquaman than you, in the city in which I live aquaman is extremely popular and I have practically grown up knowing his name. Personally i admit that the green lantern has this unless aquaman finds a way to get near him. I said cmon pick aquaman just to see if there were any biased aquaman fans like myself in this place.
