In a forward fight, I'd give to Clops. In a setting, Bats would get a few. In a comic? He'd never see Bats coming.

It's strange... I never understood why so many people hate Scott. He's a great leader of the X-Men (he's no Captain America kind of leader, but still a very good leader in his own right). He thinks fast and reacts fast and has a very strong personality.

There's nothing wrong with Cyclops.

Oh, and for the record, Cyclops wins.

This kind of thing is part of why I stopped reading X-Men. I remember a time when Cyclops's beams were LESS powerful without his visor to concentrate and focus them. The whole team got a series pointless and/or unexplained powerups and personality transplants over the course of the 90s. The X-Men I knew were replaced by impostors.

Oh, and unless Bats wins by stealth, Cyke takes this.

Realistically (the comic oxymoron), with no prior knowledge of Cyclops, Bruce would probably underestimate Scott's senses if he attempted stealth against him. Scott's has honed his senses (besides sight) to a razor edge. Sneaking up on Scott would earn Batman an optic blast to the chest, bounced around walls if necessary.

Cyclops wins this one. I think the reason a lot of people hate Cyclops is that they've portrayed him as a dick, with all the leaving his wife behind (TWICE!), fantasizing about other women when his wife is around, and other such things. Personally, I like him, but I wish they got rid of him being a dick.

That's funny. Even movie Wolverine calls movie Cyclops a dick.

Batman simply sheilds himself with his cape....its made of ruby quartz you know....

I'd take Cyclops over Wolverine any day. He's a leader and the head of the Xmen. I salute and respect him.

However, we know that if Scott loses his sunglasses or visor he cannot control his optic blasts. Leaving him with the only option to close his eyes.

If Batman gets a clear shot to throw a batarang at the visors then Cyclops could loose the balance of the fight. Since Batman is master in stealth and sneak then Summers is out cold with a single punch.

* well, Cyke can fight with his eyes closed... plus he got a spatial awareness ability... Bats may have an advantage on a visor-less Cyke but i doubt Cyke would lose easily...

Batman activates an atom bomb and while Cyclops thinks he's so cool with his omniblast and frying everything in sight (including Emma), the A-Bomb kills everyone. TIE GAME!

More like Batman is dismembered by optic blasts b4 he can activate anything. Cyclops still wins.

I don't understand something. Why does Batman always get the advantage of stealth and/or prep in his vs. matches but we give no advantes to his not-as-stealthy opponent?

Anything that Batman throws at him gets shot down by Cyclops. Why is this so hard to understand?
