NO X-FACTOR FOR LIEFELD! It would be taking something so beautifully crafted by PAD and others with artistic merit and shitting all over it.

But yeah, if there was ever a project not to be excited about, it looks like this is it. Who knows. Might be pleasently surprised. Art for Liefeld standards isn't that bad. Looks like his noses are starting to take some shape, and once in awhile there's a hint of dimension.

I couldn't be bothered reading the whole article.... are they bringing Onslaught back for good?

I remember during the Heroes Reborn story, Avengers island had a nuclear reactor that was melting down.... Thor and Hulk had to go into it to stop it, Thor passed out and Hulk saw an apparition/vision of Onslaught..... but nothing else was ever heard of the guy since then

Meh. I'd possibly think about getting this if Liefeld wasn't on art. I didn't mind the Heroes Reborn stuff. But there's no way i'm paying to look at Leifelds art.

doesnt anyone get comics just for the plot line anymore. I mean cmon the art isnt that bad but i wont get it because i think onslaught sucks

yeah i just looked at the cover closer and half the people are in the same exact position

yeah and like almost all the characters are in the same position

And Thor's thigh being longer than his entire upper body. At least he isn't drawing Cap with Double D's anymore.

*Thor, Cap, IW, and the Thing are all in the exact same poses

*Thor looks like he as a lion's mane and a giant gold and blue penis flopping in the breeze

*Thor's nose if really f**ked up (too thin), the legs are way too long and Cap doesn't have a right knee

*Mr. Fantastic's head looks like it was cut and pasted onto his body,

*the Thing's head is too small and his right wrist is nearly twice as thick as his left one

*Cap's shield isn't centered on his forearm

Thor's been doing alot of squats in his new exercises workout thats all.

Picky? Look at those beady eyes! They're horrifying! Why is virtually everyone gritting their teeth? And why are they the size of corn? Liefeld is a tragedy. Join us in mocking his lack of proportions when it comes to drawing the human figure.

I agree with you Digi. Loeb is pretty good writing this type of story (action, action, and more action). I'd be all over this if Liefeld wasn't along for the ride.

I am talking more in the vein of animation vs Liefield, but still, give the man some credit

im sure you could look through the work of any artist and find specific instances where they butchered a picture, like that aweful cap...

There's more artists that (somewhat) ignore proportion than those who don't. Even Jim Lee, the superstar that he is, has some bad proportion in most of his art. Liefeld's certainly the worst at it though as you can see in the pic where Hulk's arm is longer than the rest of his body.

I tend to think Liefeld's main problem is consistency. Read the issues he did on Teen Titans last year (or maybe not) and you'll see Wonder Girl and Robin somehow change costumes for no reason. Even this series of pics show Mjolnir with different color straps and Thor with different color wristbands. At this point I think the colorists are just screwing with Rob.

i was more talking about stylistic exageration of proportion, a lot of the stuff you are talking about is a decent critisism imho

I like stuff in comics that looks sureal and animated, goes with the turf if you ask me. Like nextwave or batman:secrets/year 100

Oh man. I wish Loeb writes these pieces exceptionally well cause i'm very worried to probability of having to pair with liefield and his brand of art makes comics almost impossible to redeem.

That's the worst comic book rendering I've ever seen. How the hell can his chest be in perspective like that without his other arm or leg being visible?

Reminds me of something I might have done in 9th grade and a classmate's reaccuring proportion problems.

I thought that I was the only person that hated Rob Liefelds sketches... I wish they would use another artist to do Onslaught Reborn, Claudio Castelini, or Joe Maduiera would be great picks, but you can't always get what you want.

I can't believe it, but I think he has actually improved.

Yeah, it does look a bit better. Really, none of this stuff looks like it'd distract me while I was reading.

He's certainly improved a bit over the years, but when you look at other available artists out there, one just wonders "why bother with him?"

9. Almost everyone will be constipated.

10. The guns you will see aren't really guns they are glorified sunlamps with giant screws
