I think it takes place on neutral ground, not in his realm.

Wait, didn't the latest fight happen AFTER the recton? And when did Thanos beat Mephisto in an actual confrontation? I'm not saying that it didn't happen, I was just unaware of it.

Hasn't Mephisto been beaten in his own wrealm by lessor beings than Darkseid? I seem to remember people like The surfer and Worlock punking Mephisto.

I'm pretty sure Surfer need Galactus(though I could be wrong about that), and Warlock only won because of the Soul Gem.

Marvel's been very very ambigous about Meph's power level. But I would say hes more powerfull then Neron. How would Darkseid fair against him?

I'm not sure if there's been an actual confrontation between the two, but from what I've seen, it's was pretty clear that Mephisto was Thanos' b*tch.
