Want the honest truth from me? Alright then.

I would like to turn your attention to Annihilation: Nova #1, when Nova first gets the Nova force. It is clearly stated that the entirety of the Nova force is too much for Richard to handle without losing his mind and so the world mind is forced to put limitations on the amount of access Richard has to the Nova force, even though he is still frightened that the limited access will still affect Richard.

For the duration of the Annihilation series and the Nova standalone series after that, Nova is functioning strictly on this platform, with his access to the full Nova force being replenished by the world mind while at the same time not being allowed to run rampant. The one time it was allowed to go unchecked Nova went ballistic and destroyed an annihilation flagship in a single blow.

If Nova were ever to get into a conflict with the Silver Surfer, I believe that the fight will get serious and Nova is likely to lose. Although I'd like you to keep in mind Nova just fought a 268 day war for most of which the silver surfer was not engaging in violent activity. Nova's mind is still honed for violence. If he doesn't run away like the worldmind is always screaming for him to, and the surfer is about to do lethal damage to him, in an act of desperation and as a last ditch effort to save the lives of both of them, the Xandarian worldmind could allow the Nova force be released fully in Richard. In which case the Silver Surfer should better run off and away.

Because Nova will tear him a new *******.

Galactus-upgrade or not, if the Xandarian worldmind ever allows the full entirety of the Nova Force to be released within Nova, the Silver Surfer will have no chance at victory.

And there is my judgement ^_^

^ Except that his most impressive feat when he was accessing the level of Nova force that he did when he first got it (Annihilation: Nova #1) was destroying bug ships a few at a time.

Something Surfer did with nonchalantly the minute Galactus let him loose on the Wave.

No, actually it wasn't. If you go back and recall the scene where he is beginning to lose his mind and succumb to his anger, that ship is actually the exact same design as the flagships of the Annihilation army, similar to Annihilus's vehicle. The silver surfer destroyed several of the much smaller versions of those. The ships that are large but come in huger numbers, I believe they are either transports of assault ships or both. You cant even compare the power level of those ships to a flagship. A flagship was large enough to hold Galactus prisoner.

In a previous issue, Nova Prime and a newly improved Darkhawk battle many sand creatures created by the Sphinx. This shows he is capable of omni-directional blasts. This wasn't even a high level one, but it was still quite powerful and effective. Also shows more of his shielding capabilities. He can shield himself or others as well. This also shows how quickly he can create high level shielding!

From memory, there are about 4-5 different ways that Nova/Nova's can absorb or manipulate energy. Keep in mind that a vital part of energy absorption for a Nova Prime is compatiblity. They can absorb ANY form of energy, but some exotic types can cause a massive feed back so they have to be careful. Also, the absorption power is dynamic in that the more energy an opponent puts into an attack, the easier it is for a Nova syphon to absorb, amp and redirect.

1) The most basic form of energy absorption a Nova can do is the classic absorb and redirect as seen here:

Nova is not your regular "class 100" brick. He is more in the lines of a Silver Surfer who we know is class 100, but rarely ever shows it. For some reason he doesn't get the kind or respect others get for his strength. Here's a small collection of strength feats that may shed some light in this situation. I didn't include punching or ramming strength since being the human rocket and all, that's what he's always shown doing. There are too many examples of that already.

Let me start with this before I continue. Class 100? Marvel U seems to think he is. =)
