King Jedi
This guy should have won an Oscar for his performance as the Emperor in ROTJ. UBH, you asked a while ago about information on him. I got it from Star Wars magazine but you will probably get it from a site dedicated to him, if there is one.

Snarlingcur Matt Dalrymple
Maybe you could look up what other movies he's been in at IMDB.Com

Xizor
He was in Dirty Rotten Scoundrel's with Michael Caine and Steve Martin.

Dim
Sleepy Hollow...

UnknownBountyHunter
I found a site. thanx smile

The Maker
His role in Star Wars is often overlooked. I honestly don't think that an actor in Star Wars will get an Oscar as the institution doesn't like George.

R.M

UnknownBountyHunter
Yeah, you know the movie critics tell us this at the awards anyway.roll eyes (sarcastic) <sarcasm>

King Jedi
UBH- I don't understand what you mean. I don't know about Oscars but the snobby British awards would never give a Star Wars actor an award. The scum.

Xizor
Yes, nobody in the film business likes how Lucas is a rather arrogant money maker. They dislike the credit he gets in the indusry for making what they feel are more visual bonanza's then intelligent storis. They also dislike the fanatical culture it created, much like Guiness did.

UnknownBountyHunter
Poor GL.

Xizor
Yeah, and even when Empire turned out to be a sophisticated semi-adult flick they gave all th credit to Kershner. So he stuck it to them by creating ewoks(sorry UBH, I know how you like the furry little guys).smile

UnknownBountyHunter
Ewoks and Wookies are the best creatures. Wookies first of course. smile

Dim
You know that ROTJ was the movie that little girls liked most right?...Ewoks, Leia and Han get together...Leia has cool clothes....stick out tongue

Xizor
I didn't know little girls were into older women in bikini's? Leia's nicest outfit is by far the one she wears on Bespin.

Dim
Oooooooooooh...no..I'm talking about the dress she wears in the Ewok village!!!!...and actually, we didn't mind the bikini...it looked better than most of the bikini's in 1983 and the little boys seemed to really dig it..

As for the Bespin outfit, it cool, but not very romantic.

Xizor
I loved the Bikini, even though I was only 3 when Jedi came out.:P

Dim
Yeah..guys are all the same when it comes to a chick in a bikini...whether they're 3 or 80...wink

UnknownBountyHunter
No until they are 10 they say "ooh, yuckie, girls stick out tongue " smile

Dim
Oh come on...they might be like "ooh yucky girls" but they still have a thing for a grown woman in a bikini...or at least that's how it seems to me...smile smile

UnknownBountyHunter
Okay, somewhat, depends whom and where.

Dim
I love it when you act like you're agreeing but you're really not...wink

UnknownBountyHunter
Well I have a wife you know, and I KNOW BETTER that you shouldn't argue smile

Dim
HAHA...you're bad...smile

UnknownBountyHunter
Thanx, afterall I AM a bountyhunter.

King Jedi
Anyway, back to Ian McDairmid. He was also in Gorky Park and there are rumours of him being in the next Indy movie. He should still get an Oscar.

Dim
Sorry...I love Ian..I really do but I'm not going to delusion myself that he's ever going to get an Oscar for the kind of movies he's currently doing...What he needs is to be in some arty World War II movie...he should take it up with his agent....smile

UnknownBountyHunter
It does bother me that the only Sci-Fi movie recently that has one any awards is The Matrix, which I have never seen. Veryyyyyyy disturbing.

DiEbyDaGuNZ
uve gotta see the matrix...its wonderful..but don't see it if ur afraid of bugs..there's a couple scenes...

UnknownBountyHunter
Actually the provincial states of Bavaria, Baden and Wurttemberg ban all American forms of entertainment (Movies and Video Games), this isn't a joke so my chances of seeing an American movie are 1/1000000. I am probably one of one-thousand in Bavaria who actually own a computer. I had to drive 350 miles to Berlin just to see TPM in English. No fun at all.

Dim
Why did they ban American entertainment?....

As for Ian and SW. The Academy has always been prejudiced against Sci-Fi and it's a wonder that the any of the OT got nominated for anything other than FX... It's been a victim of the backward thinking "sophisticated" film crowd snobbery.

UnknownBountyHunter
Many Western European provinces ban American entertainment. I can't believe you didn't know that. Only three provinces in Germany do so. NOT WHOLE COUNTRIES!! Just some provinces. Some others are in Poland, Slovakia, one in France, two in North Italy, and many of the Balkan states do.

Dim
Oh yeah...I obviously know so much about European social and economic laws...laughing out loud (learn something new everyday smile ) You need to come back to Colorado...you're missing the whole summer blockbuster season...

UnknownBountyHunter
Summer Blockbuster? Sports' season?

Dim
Noooooooooooo...the movie..er..bioscope season. When all the Sci-Fi/Action movies come out, traditionally. You're not going to be able to see "The Cell"...too bad...very pretty, poor plot, but lovely.

UnknownBountyHunter
Ummm...well our bioscope season is a little slow, Toy Story 2 came out about a month ago.

Dim
I thought you said that you can't see American movies?...

UnknownBountyHunter
Not in my province. The bioscope I go to is in Berlin, about 350 miles from here. They can see the movies there. I can't even see a German Film in my town because we don't have one. The German bioscopes are in Munich smile How on earth do you think I got to see Star Wars?

Dim
I don't know...It's hard for me to grasp that you travel that far for a movie (bioscope...). I don't get much about you life...It sounds a little weird to me and I can't really visualize it smile ...

UnknownBountyHunter
Well I can either drive 30 minutes for a German movie I can see on television in half a year or drive four hours to see an American movie which I will never see on television. And I don't blame you for being hard to visualize it. I guess that's a German Star Wars fans punishment smile

Dim
But don't you live in Colorado too?...Don't you get to see any movies over here?

UnknownBountyHunter
I haven't been to Colorado in a long time. The last movie I saw there I think was Jurassic Park 2. I know its called something else but I can't remember.

Dim
You should take a 6 week vacation...come over hear and do nothing but what movies...smile

Xizor
In 2 1/2 weeks I'll be back at CU in Boulder UBH, take a vacation and stop by my house on campus. I'll give you a list of some of the best american movies you should buy/see before going home.

UnknownBountyHunter
Sorry but it might be another 5 years before I go back. First off I have a better living here smile and Colorado would be a mere vacation, a very expensive vacation that will take some time to save up for. wink Germans don't get frequent flyer miles wink
