Not much is known about Sentry.

Hal Jordan is one of the top dogs in DC. To beat him would take a big time player. Sentry may be good enough but he has been served a couple of times already.

I agree.

I think at the moment, everything the Sentry does is a big arguement. There has not really been a definition of his limits. Until we see him in an all out brawl it which his limits are shown, no clear arguement can be made either for or against him.

True , although the only people who have really kicked his ass are beings who ether emulate sentries own power or are stupidly/insanely strong.
