Biggest Video Game Disappointment

Just like the Subject says, what is your biggest video game disappointment?
You don't have to list just one. I have many disappointments.
You can explain why it was a disappointment or just leave it at that.
ESB - 1138
Shadow the Hedgehog, the entire game. Expect for the Devil Doom boss battle where you are Super Shadow. That was pretty fun.
Draco69
Kingdom Hearts II.
Easy, repetitive, and lack of platforming adventure that made the worlds fun in the last game...

I would go with Fable or Prince of Persia 2...but....
....Death To Rights is the biggest disappointment for me. So-so graphics and utterly imposible missions with little reward.

my biggest disapointment is pokemon colliseum i was hopeing it was gonna be like pokemon stadium i loved pokemon stadiumcry

Impediment
Resident Evil 4's last boss, Saddler. I was expecting some kind of "epic boss fight", yet all I got was a cheeseriffic fight that was a little too easy. I mean, "It" (the monster in the caverns you had to fight in the falling storage containers) was way harder than Saddler.
ESB - 1138
It scared the crap out of me first time I fought it. But Saddler was disappointing since you wanted to kill him so much by the time you got to fight him.

I ask for this statement to be stricken from the records.

No one should ever look forward to a Pokemon game being good.

Pokemon Stadium was good and sadly I never got to get the game b/c of reasons I regret, but it was good and when Colliseum came out although I got to play it, I was unable to get it, but it was good also. I can't really remember if it was better or worse but i know as I got older the games lost their appeal to me.
All of the Yugioh games on the Consoles were horrible and the Role Playing Pokemon Game on the Gamecube was bad as well.
You don't know how long I played the Playstation Yugioh game expecting it to get good. Oh how disappointing and what I waste of time.
The Gameboy Yugioh games are much better.

DBZ budoukai 3... everyone raved about it... but its just way too simplistic for my taste
Tenkaichi is more of the better direction for dragonball games to go in, IMO
but unfortunately for japan... american developers have been there, done that... as you can see here http://bidforpower.planetquake.gamespy.com/
dungeon seige (the first one.. I'm not even going to bother with 2) was also another disappointment.. the method of skill ups was good.. but not what resulted from it... you immediately became overpowered for specializing in 1 area... and it took them forever to go from one location to the other... character customization was crap.. and so forth

Resident Evil 2,3, CV for the GC.
Odd choices, but how great would it be to have those remade in the style of RE and RE0? That would make for an amazing collection of RE games on the cube.

The entire three day system sounded interesting, if it LASTED the entire game. I thought you actually HAD three days to complete the game, not wait for three days, play a song, and repeat. Not to mention all the uncharted songs in the menu. Kid Link is annoying IMO, the masks were stupid to me, and lack of Zelda=/=Zelda game.

It would of taken to long to graphically update them all, with RE4 being made.
And CVX is FINE on GameCube, it's 3D NOT 2D on Pre-Rendered graphics. If you look at High-Res CVX on GC pics, or play it on a High Definition TV, it's VERY clear, crisp and sharp.
RE 2 & 3 also run faster and clearer as well. The graphics are a small loss, compared to the fact they are classics.

halo. the game isn't really that fun, but halo 2 multiplayer is alright. i don't think it should be considered as great as everyone says though.

Thank you, I'm very glad someone sees. New Super Mario Bros sold almost one million copies in FOUR days in Japan. I am quite sure the game did great here also, and still is. Like Tomb Raider:Legend, it IS one of the best games this year so far, and will still be in December.
You can't count Super Mario Sunshine AS.A.VIDEO.GAME. That game is like being recruited into the army, the 120 shines are tough training. Your award: The easiest Boss/Bowser EVER.

I haven't seen a single Mortal Kombat game get multiple 9's, and 10's since Mortal Kombat 3/Ultimate. I heard the new ones are above average at most. And if anything is repetitive, it's Soul Calibur 3, based off 2 all they did was make tighter (and awkward as hell) controls, and annoying new characters.
And I suppose if you don't like Resident Evil CODE:Veronica, and 4, you sure as hell hate on Silent Hill 4 for only referencing the town?

i haven't played silent hill 4 so i can't say i hate it. but the silent hill games i played were actually scary. i never been scared of resident evil. and as far as i hear, silent hill 4 isn't really like a normal silent hill game. the title "the room" was the original name for it, but they figured since the game seems to kind of look like silent hill, they just put silent hill 4: the room.

Same here for Empire at War. The space battles are pretty fun but the ground battles are boring. And in BFME2 they need to make the walls to the point only trolls/siege can destroy them.

They had two titles for it originally. "Room 302", and "The Room". Why they made it SH4 I don't think we know. I think it's alright though. It is about Walter Sullivan who is mentioned in that letter in the garbage at the apartments in SH2 about murdering those kids.

Super Smash Bros Melee. Yes, it's a great game but the control scheme was so different from the original that it actually made it less fun.
For instance...
Donkey Kong = less strength in his blows, whole lot more speed
Samus = more projectiles, charge shot a lot weaker, spin jump attack doesn't suck people in like it should
Link = blows are less effective and don't defend him as well
Luigi = uppercut is next to useless
Falcon = increase speed but make it more difficult for average blows to connect
Starfox = faster, weaker, gun is near useless, hit specs are slightly off
Essentially they made the control more difficult and not as precise. You had a severe sense of timing in the original that is almost completely omitted in Melee. Let's hope the next game delivers better results.

heres my list anyway
-Need for Speed Underground 2 for DS SUCKED MY HAIRY BUTHOLE
- NHL 2005 was kinda dissapointing cause you couldn't make a character or put made up teams into the franchise mode
-Shadow the hedgehog i guess to much like the sonic GCn games they shoulda made it like levels where you didn't have to follow that one route it shoulda been kinda like Spiderman 2 where you could go where ever you wanted but still had the story
- Digimon for psn my digimon only digivolved into that stupid poop one and always sucked at fighting

donkey kong: yes less strength, but he is still the strongest character in ssb.
samus: i like the new missiles, but yea, the new screw attacks isnt what it was.
link: hmm. i didnt see much difference here, except for the bow, which is only a plus.
luigi: this is plain confusing, theres hardly any difference between the two uppercuts.
falcon: faster yes, but still as strong, and the bit about blows not connecting, WTF!!..
fox: the gun is twice as effective, since it responds immediatly to the button, instead of doing the same speed shots over and over like in the first game, and it does triple the damage of the first game blaster, who cares if it doesnt stop people, by the time they reach you, they're dead..
and finaly, the controls werent sooooo different that you have to complain about them...

Donkey Kong = Not the strongest character (Bowser)
Samus = I have no problems with the missles. They work for me. I just think the charge shot is less effective.
Link = The forward smash attack is different. The original one covered you from top to bottom. The new one is paced and has two parts, which can be helpful but more than not I miss the old one.
Luigi = Not confusing. Originally if you connected with his uppercut right then it would be a one hit wonder 80% of the time. Now it seems more like 40%. On top of that it's a little more awkward to connect with. I chock that up to the looser control scheme of Melee.
Falcon = The blows don't connect sometimes because the timing is off. I don't count that against his character so much as the overall system. It just becomes a little more apparent in his character than others.
Fox = No stun and not as much damage. It only does one percent of damage. Yeah, it shoots faster but it doesn't chain as well with combos as the old one. Or it just doesn't work as well for me. Also, his new dash attack works fine in most situations but some levels it's just a death sentence.
Don't look into this too much though. It was a big disappointment for me but I still love the game. It's still spectacular. It just wasn't what I was hoping for.
MadMel
hmm
dk is the strongest, hes the only character who can pick up boxes and jump with them.
i dont mind link, the difference isnt that severe..
luigis attack works as fine as the n64 version..with me it connects and becomes a 'one hit wonder' just as well...
as for the control scheme..its not serious, and it doesnt really matter.

To be perfectly honest...
It's faster. It's faster and it requires a reaction speed that is just beyond me. So yeah, it is a disappointment, because my old hands can't seem to keep up with the action level. There's nothing I can't beat. I've beaten the game on every difficulty with every character in every mode. (except for the last two event matches. I can only seem to use select characters on them)
Characters drop faster, dodge faster, run faster, and die faster. It's too much for this oldie gamer to keep up with. I'm so embarrased.

Oh, that wasn't screwy. That WAS how ghetto the save system was, so yes, you had to basically do everything within one game-sit-through, or save, and re-do it ALL over again. Completely ridiculous, I guess I forgot that because I surpressed it.

Please , CC was ok. It's just Nintendo got greedy when they realised they had hold of a FF game (Probably hoping that it would cause a 'rush') and then decided to drain as much of our cash as possible with that dumbass link effect

No. The plot was understandable but TOO childish. Aswell as that, the annoying battle system was okay but became repetitive. AND at the beginning the plot is not explained AT ALL! I had to read the booklet to understand.
But yes that stupid 'link' effect thing was incrediblly annoying.
