These people are going wild in New York.
Assemble your team of people to counter them.

Hulk
Pitt
Solomon Grundy

You need one of each of the following:
Distraction - Thing is not a distraction. Anyone below his levels
Leader - No Superman does not work here. Too much muscle. You'll have to be creative
Long-Range Assault - must specialize in this field
Close Range - Iron Man is not a close range specialist, nor is Superman...too much long range capacity. Captain Marvel is fine though
Supporter - healing, force fields, telepathy, telekinesis whatever. Be creative
Informant - just like it says
Two more people of your choice

You get 1 hour prep
All characters must be below herald level

Okay fight!!!

Tshern
I like the idea of this thread, well done, Psy.

Distraction: Nightcrawler. He definitely can distract, he's agile, fast and can teleport. All his qualities make one helluva distraction.

Leader: Captain America. He sure knows how to organise troops when the time comes. How many times has he won a battle that should have been doomed?

Long-range assault: This is damn difficult, but I would probably go with Havok. Versatility, firepower and so forth. Good package.

Close-range: Hehe, Sebastian Shaw. Who could be more annoying an adversary for a punch of moving muscles?

Support: Lifeguard. 'Nuff said.

Informant: Probably a telepath who can fly. Just can't figure out who. Hints, please.

My choices: Classic Juggernaut. Good old Juggs could just take their punches even without shrugging them off. He takes the punishment and fights back while others do what they can.

Vision. Once again, a perfect pick against mocing muscles. You can't hit what you can't hit.

The Pict
Distraction - Quicksilver
Leader - Martian Manhunter. can direct fellow heroes with telepathy
Long-Range Assault - Storm
Close Range - The Shaggy Man (who pretty much wins this)
Supporter - Jean Grey
Informant - Nightcrawler
Two more people of your choice:
Flash for damage control in the city and Kitty Pryde for saving citizens.

A.J
I am properly wrong her but what the hell, here i go........

Distraction - Iron-spidey, he has been able to battle Hulk many times, he can do it again i think.

Leader - Captain America, he isn't gonna be able to stop them but he is a excellent leader even superman stated that. And hes been able to battle Hulk.

Long-Range Assault - Cyclops, he can let loose on them and i think he will be able to do some damage especially to Grundy

Close Range - Black Adam he hasproven to be on CAs level many times and even battled Superman with no winner.

Supporter -Invisible girl seems obvious but she can protect Cap and Cyclops and others if needed and her invisible powers would prove to be a distraction confusing them.

Informant-Jean grey, wasn't sure about this one but ill have her.

And my 2 others are Captain Marvel, him and BA are surely able to KO them if the work together.

And Majestic, this guy has it all strength speed brains and all the essentiols. He can work with BA and CA and also he can use his brains and figure out how to beat them.

Thats my team.

HisMajestyAC43
Distraction - The Flash <- Now that's a distraction.
Leader - Dr. Doom <- He's a beast.
Long Range Specialist - Ultron <- Why not?
Close Range Specialist - Classic Juggernaut <- Unstoppable anyone?
Supporter - Martian Manhunter <- He's a beast, too.
Informant - Dr. Strange <- Not really sure what informants do...
Pick # 1 - Thor <- For obvious reasons.
Pick # 2 - Ultimate Colossus <- Just to have an extra frontman.

MrHeavySilence
Distraction - Multiple Man. There's so many of him.

Leader - Batman. He's an intelligent strategist with a variety of weapons to keep the monsters at bay. The Dark Knight will steer his team to victory.

Long-Range Assault - Iron Man. He's got a myriad of missiles and repulsor beams and such. Plus he flies!

Close Range - Kitty Pryde. She can't be touched so she'll be perfect for close range combat.

Supporter - Dr. Strange. The best kind of help is magical.

Informant - Martian Manhunter. He's got the psi-link and can phase through physical obstructions in his path.

Two People Of My Choice:

Iceman. He's bloody invincible.

Despero. He's got mind control for bloody sakes!

Sin I AM
Distraction - Human Torch
Leader - NightWing
Long-Range Assault - Magneto
Close Range - Black Bolt
Supporter - X-Man
Informant - Cable

Namor................Blink

Jarlaxle
Here are my Picks, and my reasons why.

I tried to keep my team original, by the way, and not overpower it too too much.

Distraction - Deadpool (Because he is an agile skilled fighter, who cannot be killed, and regenerates almost instantly...Sure hes going to get beat around, but what better to keep these three busy? Theyre just going to keep attacking him and trying to kill him.)

Leader - Xavier (Who better than Charles himself? He can keep these guys at bay with his telekenetics, and has been proven time and time again to be an excellent leader.)

Long-Range Assault - Cyclops (I hate his character, but his optical blasts can reach the moon, and he has amazing aim. He has also shown his blasts to be powerful enough to knock God-Like characters off their feet.)

Close Range - Strong Guy (You'll see why, read the supporter.)

Supporter - Gambit (Not only can he hit these 3 with his Kinetic energy blasts, Strong Guy can absorb kinetic energy to the point where he is strong enough to be on par with all three of these strong guys...Gambit can constantly fuel Strong Guy with kinetic energy, since he is immensly powerful while absorbing it, but needs to refuel quickly, Marvel has said strong guy, which a constant supply of Kinetic energy has durability, regeneration, and strength enough to take on Hulk.)

Informant - Cable (Not only can he help support, with his weaponry, he can use his telekenis to relay messages instantly, who would be a better informant than a psychic?)

The first pick of my Choice would be Warpath, just because he is plain cool, and in the 100 ton strength category, and his knives cut through almost anything. And my second would be Jubilee, for her ability to keep these guys blinded.

Strategy: Okay, so Deadpool distracts, gets pummelled to hell by these three, but it doesnt matter, because he can regenerate infinatley, hopefully in the meantime he deals a little damage to them. Jubilee CONSTANTLY keeps these guys blinded with her fireworks, while staying out of range. Xavier keeps these three occupied in the mind, and uses is powers to keep them contained when he can with his force fields. Gambit attacks these guys with his Kinetics when he can, but primarily attacks strong guy, who absorbs his Kenetics, to keep him powered up, and he engages these three, hopefully knocking them around quite a bit, while Warpath literally cuts them to pieces. Cyclops attacks mostly from afar, while hes not going to deal a ton of damage, he can certainly knock them down, and keep them off balance, and hurt them a little...Cable deals damage and helps occupy them with his weaponry, while being the "informant" using his pyschic powers.

Hopefully, cable, gambit, jubilee, and cyclops would keep these three off balance, and off guard most of the time, while deadpool keeps them busy and distracted, while dealing some damage, So that the constantly fueled strong guy is free to kick the stuffing out of them, and Warpath can rip them a new one (literally) because Xavier is also occasionly blocking attacks, and holding them in place when he can....)

Charles does not have telekinetic powers

nimbus006
Distraction- Laker dancers j/k: Spiderman

Leader- Ironman

Long Range- Iceman

Close Range- Namor

Supporter- Emma Frost

Informant- Reed Richards

Don't need them but what the hell:

1. Other- Thing (more muscle)

2. Other- Invisible Woman (shields)

EvilDead666
Distraction - Dr. Strange (spell casting can cause a variety of distractions)
Leader - Thanos (Evil leaders can get er done too)
Long Range - Cyclops (Jarlaxle's reasoning)
Close Range - Thor minus his hammer (as the hammer makes him a long range specialist)
Supporter - Sue Richards (force fields are important, plus can run around invisible to give aid to Cyclops when he gets hurt)
Informant - Vision

Pick 1 - Batman (he's the goddamn Batman)
Pick 2 - 616 Spiderman

So my team is a bit lacking on heavy hitters. Batman is still cool.

K3VIL
Distraction: Blink. She'll just teleport in and out the battlefield, dropping on the enemies most things she finds around slowing them down, and she could also help to carry out the battle range civilians if needed.

Leader: Ultimate Captain America, intelligent and smart as the 616 one if not more, plus he's badass and brutal.
He always come in battle with various contingency plans, he'll surely figure out how to contain and stop the enemies.

Long Range Assault:
Havok.Great strategist, high knowledge of his powers, and he got high firepower.

Close Range:
Hollywood, the Wonder Man from the future. This is a WM which powers evolved, he has durability and strength far beyond his current version, he can travel in space under his own power and survive explosions able to destroy a planet. He's also cool, he sayed Silver Surfer is on his short list.To warn an herald, you must be a force to reckon with.

Supporter:
Moondragon. She got extensive battle experience, the training, and she also cut loose when needed.

Informant:
Techno in his robotic form.He could analyze the enemies and came up with any sort of device in minutes.

Contingency Choices:
Black Adam
Classic Thor
Both wields godly powers, and both wields incredible strength, speed and durability. If the team fails, you'll pray for having them on your side.

You know guys? Most of these teams are totally bunk. Reread the rules. There are seperate rules for each position. Some of you appearantly don't enjoy taking the time to read things through. It makes your answers less intelligent unless it lines up properly.

My Team. (I'm trying to be creative)

Distraction - Darkhawk (I don't think anyone will say he's not below Thing level)
Leader - Cannonball (why not?)
Long-Range Assault - Mandarin (those rings will kick butt here)
Close Range - Hercules
Supporter - Xian (xmen 2099 - one hand that heals another that destroys)
