Its really shocking how cheap Dvds are i mean only 4-6 pounds . I know hd dvds are comming out but when dvds firat came out they where 18 pounds each !!

and dvd players 500 pound each now they only cost 20pound

I really hope HD DVDS does not win

wow pounds...dvds in america are like $15 - 20, i still think thats pretty expensive though...

New DVDs are about the same price now in the U.S. as they were when DVDs first came out. However, they do dip in price faster now and the older DVDs are cheaper than ever. Best Buy had a whole rack of DVDs for $3.99. Pretty good ones too like Van Wilder, Glengary Glenross and SNL Best of's.

cheapest in the uk are 2,3,4 6 pounds

meh....not really, although the price has stayed pretty steady for the last few years. Back in '98 if you wanted a dvd......you would have had to pay $30+ for it...........now just about any dvd can be bought at Wal-Mart on it's release date for $14.99.

I think it depends on the DVD-especially on the title.

Absolutely awesome that DVD's are coming out cheaper. Now only if SE or box sets can drop on price it would pure bliss.

Meh, in Australia they're still $35ish when they're new in most major stores, then hover around $15 if you go to JB HIFI when you buy (if you dont your a moron really, they're the best value)

I wish box sets would come down in price too, lots I would like to get.

SAme here but if i find a bargin one with some good extras .. im very willing to part with the money..

i dunno, if the movie is something i like, some extras make it so much more, commentaries should be mandatory for new release movie DVDs IMHO, you can pick up on so much more with a "guide" as it were. And delted scenes and such show you other bit of plot that can sometimes explain things that wern't so clear before, the Mallrats deleted scenes made sence of a few things for me.
