Absorbing Man is tough could this X-Men team beat him?

If we're talking about a Creel who fights smart, then yes he can.

If we're talking about Creel the way he is in comics, then no.

I mean the Absorbing Man that took on Avengers and did pretty well

Creel first absorbs Colossus and Strong Guy, then to incapacitate them, hit SG with his chained ball and threw him about 100 miles away from Westchester.He then chase Colossus, block him with his chain, and run toward Gambit.He power up the ground under them and cause a huge explosion, probably only Storm will escape it, and he'll threw both Peter and the chained ball to her and such speed she can't dodge it and kill her.

He gets hit by Cyclops, turns into an energy being and pulverises everyone

Or absorbs Wolverine's adamantium..... and pulverises everyone

Or turns into lightning..... and fries everyone

Or turns himself into dogsh!t.... and smothers everyone (he's done it before)
