Bio
Little is known about the early life of Bennet du Paris other than the fact that he was alive in the 12th Century and had encountered the Avenger known as the Black Knight, who inhabited the body of his ancestor Eobard Garrington during that period. On one of the Crusades, Bennet gave in to his lust for power and was trapped in one of Apocalypse's strongholds in the Swiss Alps.

Over the course of time, his latent mutant powers were awakened and enhanced until he was liberated by Magneto in the 20th Century and was brought to Magneto's base on Avalon.

As Magneto's lieutenant in the Acolytes, Exodus replaced Fabian Cortez, who had betrayed Magneto. Exodus encountered numerous mutants and attempted to recruit them as Acolytes for Avalon, with some margin of success.

When Professor Charles Xavier wiped Magneto's mind clean in an attack by the X-Men on Avalon, Exodus took command of the Acolytes. Soon after, Fabian Cortez resurfaced in Genosha, where he had taken Magneto's granddaughter Luna hostage. Exodus encountered and defeated Cortez in the sewers underneath Hammer Bay, the capital city of Genosha.

After the Genosha affair, the Acolytes found and retrieved a cocoon made of ice from orbit around Earth. The cocoon was found to contain the mutant Holocaust, who had traveled to this reality from the Age of Apocalypse. Exodus and Holocaust battled, resulting in the destruction of Avalon and the scattering of the remaining Acolytes.

Exodus soon reappeared to track down both Cable and the mutant known as X-Man. Cable and X-Man defeated Exodus, and trapped him in a rapidly closing crevasse.

However, Exodus somehow survived and later came into conflict with the High Evolutionary, who occupied Wundagore Mountain where Magneto's children were born, and usurped control of the citadel there. Exodus and his Acolytes was ousted by the combined forces of the Heroes for Hire, Quicksilver, and the Knights of Wundagore, and he was buried once again inside a mountain.

Exodus later appeared once more in Genosha, disguised as Magneto, and sought to bring peace to the tiny island nation by using his psionic powers, boosted by technological enhancements provided by the captured Forge, to spread his controlling influence. After his charade was revealed by the X-Men, Exodus revealed he was attempting to recant on his bigoted beliefs for the sake of all humanity, using Genosha as his first act of penance. However, without his controlling influence the island soon erupted once more into civil war and Exodus was left to despair.

Exodus subsequently attempted to ensure the end of human tyranny as the leader of the new version of the Brotherhood of Mutants. His team attempted to destroy the Xavier Institute but most of them, including Exodus, were sucked into Shen Xorn's void in the end of the battle. The Brotherhood of Mutants ended up in Mojoworld, where they sold Nocturne and Juggernaut to Mojo for cash and such. Because three of the characters to make the trip(Juggernaut, Mammomax, and Nocturne) have returned, it's possible that Exodus is back, too.

In the future of the X-Men 2099, Exodus also encountered the young group of mutants known as X-Nation, killing Clarion as well as several of the villainous Wild Boyz.

Exodus is a mutant who possesses vast psionic powers. He has shown the ability to telekinetically lift at least 10 tons of weight, incredible telepathic powers, and the ability to project damaging psionic blasts. Exodus can also teleport as well as drain anothers' energy to replenish his own.

When?

To definitively answer this question, we'd need the issue in question. But I'm guessing the initial switch to the red skin look was from Apocalypse. As for him getting progressively redder, it's either his powers increasing, a retcon, or just different artists.

Exodus rocks. His early costume (don't like his current one) was one of the better designs in Marvel.

Exodus deals with Pyro. Stops a missile telekinetically. Supresses the Hulks change telepathically. A Riot inside his building plus an explosion causes him to lose his concentration allowing the banner to become the Hulk. Exodus Blasts the Hulk. And him Pyro and the Governer aren't their when the Hulk gets up. They must have teleported out of there.

Exodus vs Holocaust

Exodus' Mind proves to Strong for Jean Grey even while he's busy fighing Holocaust. The space station crumbles...Xavier finally breaks through Exodus' psionic static for a few seconds which is a partial reason for a nose bleed. However he is immediately cut off after that. Exodus survives a tumble from space back to Earth. Exodus' and Holocausts fight distrupts the entire Astral Plane...causing Xavier and Jean Grey trouble. The rest of the fight I believe is off panel...but Exodus survives it anyway.

Exodus' fight with Holocaust is impairing Xavier and the entire Astral Plane....it almost kills Xavier. Thing that should be noted is Holocaust is as far as I know not Psychic so this feat should be all down to Exodus.

Going from those most recent scans, is Exodus supposed to now target Emma Frost? Do you guys think there will be a psi-battle between the two? The White Queen is the only other telepath who could have altered Kitty's mind to that extreme that I can think of.

Probably not, well not yet anyway. I think they're going after Cannonball and Iceman seeing how Emma's directing them to the diaries.

I realize that interviews aren't concrete proof and even I agree that they should be taken with a grain of salt as perspectives change as time passes.
However Carey compared Sinister and Exodus...and in his opinion Exodus has more raw power. Again I'd like to say that this should be taken with a grain of salt as it's an interview. But it's an interesting point and something we should be looking forward to in the Messiah Complex.

It would seem logical that Emma is doing the same to him seeing how she isn't doing anything and Scott and co aren't mind wiped, but that isn't stated.

I agree, Exodus does have more raw power, and become versatile opponent (as with any high end TP/TK character). But Mr. Sinister is sooo far from weak, and bringing the fight to him on his own turf is just asking for trouble. Let alone the fact, that he has dealt with higher end Psi Characters, and intimately knows the mechanics behind pisonic.

I love both characters. Exodus, Mr. Sinister, Magneto, and Dr. Doom. They make some of my all time favorite villains in Marvel.

Exodus lost the fight but it's still impressive since he wasnt trying to kill them his purpose was to reunite them.Also Rogue had to steal his teleportation ability and a fraction of his power so that they could take him down also Hope mimiced his powers so he basically was getting depowered and had to fight himself and many more.
