Aliies
(no offense, but did you really need to copy and paste nearly half my intro? blink )

DragonWoman
Lindsay, parked now in one of the overly comfortable conference chairs said not a word. The display that they'd been given only minutes previously spanned throughout her mind and her brow still remained raised, it would be an interesting mission to say the least. It was then that she chose to speak, overly curious as to why she was here in the first place.

"Uh yeah, sir...Jus' wonderin' what we're actually here for."

Her voice was slightly husky, the remnants of a recent chest and throat infection.

Aliies
"Well, as you know, you were all requested for a special operation in international waters, right? Well that was just a cover-story for the real fact, we are in need of new members in our Stargate program and you all qualified top of the list!" Edwards explained, still quite excitable as he wandered to the window over-looking the gate-room with his arms crossed behind his back, "The Stargate program is dedicated to advance the Human race through the discovery of new and more sophisticated technology in order to help us further our technological level and to aid in Earth's defence and the defence of our interstellar allies!"

He turned to face the group, "We allocate small four to seven-man teams to act as both liasons and as our offensive divisions, and thus far we have been a tad short-handed... That is why we have called you all... We want you to be our new team!"

The group fell silent for a moment, broken only by a slight snort of mirth from Colonel Tomas, "So you want us to go through that gate-thing, collect alien technology and ultimately fight for humanity on others worlds that we didn't even know existed... Pease tell me this is all a joke..."

The excitement fell from the Brigadier's face, a look of dead-sincerity played about his features, "I assure you, Colonel, this is quite far from a joke..."

"No shit..." Tomas said quietly, finally believing everything that had been put forward to him, he fell silently back into his chair as the full force of the matter hit him right in the stomach; he felt almost winded at the sheer magnitude of it all...

dale007
Dale turned to Tomas. "I think you'll find this more intersting than anything you've seen before. I've been through that thing several times before." Dale spoke as he remembered his first time through the Stargate and his first mission.

Dale sat back in his chair waiting for the others to speak thier mind his thoughts were all over the place at this present time.

Aliies
The Colonel was now looking into space, his mind was trying to comprehend the whole situation... It almost looked like he was losing the battle until he started nodding absent-mindedly.
He began to repeatedly mutter words that the Brigadier had said, mainly Off-World; it was as if he was trying to reassure himself that it was what he had heard...

SpikeSpiegel
"I take it you have a special assignment for us, sir? Colonel Dale and myself have been part of the SGC for a while, am I to take it I've been promoted from one of the back-up teams?" David says, looking at the magnificent ring on the other side of the glass. Alien technology facinated him and he had spent the majority of his time in the SGC reading up about other teams expoditions and further honing his skills.

Aliies
"Yes, you have all been chosen to join the newly-available SG-3 team... Congradulations!" Edwards returned to his gleeful state.

"Yippee..." Tomas sqealed quitely, completely sarcastic.

DragonWoman
Lindsay sat back in her overly comfortable chair allowing the bondings behind her to squeek a little in protest as she moved. Running the words recently exchanged through her fresh mind she put the tip of her tongue in the left side her cheek in thought.
She'd recently come from a long away mission in which she and her final command had infiltrated a priority target...and now she was sitting in a board room with a bunch of men she didn't know about to go through some wierd alien tech to a place she'd never heard of to fight for a war she'd been imagining about all her life. A manicured eyebrow raised she spoke once more, her voice less rugged but smooth this time, "So we're all gunna become part of some intergalactic fight 'n you s'pect us to tag along 'n help out on some fight we've only ever thought would happen in movies right?"

Aliies
"What Fight...? Whoever said anything about a fight... After the Goa'Uld fell, our galaxy hasn't come under fire like the Jaffa Liberations..." Edwards asked, ignoring the fact that she mis-addressed a superior.

DragonWoman
Lindsay nodded absently, taking in the information...so, she'd missed out on all the fun. The why was she here at all?

Aliies
"We will be assigning SG-3, that's you, as reconnaisance whenever we enter new and previously unknown addresses, After the original mis-hap we had with the jump to the Atlantis site, we decided that we would move outwards at a slightly... Lesser rate than before. Our Top minds are currently working on a power-source to propel the stargate further without relying on the limited power of the ZPMs, or Zero-Point Modules; an energy source inveted by the humanoid race known as the Ancients!"

Colonel Tomas stared at the man Blankly, he was lost just after the Atlantis-part... He turned to look at Colonel Dale, who seemed to be used to this kind of thing, "Would you care to translate that for me?"

dale007
"To put it in english he said that we're going to another galaxy, but we need a new power source for the Stargate." Dale replied back to Tomas.

DragonWoman
Lindsay became interested as soon as Atlantis and the fact that they'd be travelling to different galaxies through the wierd gate thing. She sat forward a little and listened intently.

Aliies
Well... have you thought about going Nuclear?" Tomas blurted out, Edwards openly burst out laughing, Tomas didn't understand, "Well, you are a nuclear facility, aren't you sir?"

"We have been running off of Naquidah Generators for the last few years, conventional nuclear power is like powering a lightbulb in comparison!" the Brigadier said cheerfully, still giggling.

"Naqui-what, Sir?" he asked.

DragonWoman
Lindsay was really interested in what the men where talking about now and turned her head slightly to catch every word. This would definately turn out to be an interesting mission.

Aliies
"Everyone starting to get the picture?" The Brigadier asked around the table...
Tomas frowned slightly before nodding his head, he wasn't as thick as he may have made himself out to be in the eyes of everyone else present...

"Now, are there any questions before we move onwards?"

DragonWoman
"How long has this Star Gate thing been around for sir?" Her curiousity growing more and more by the minute. The more she heard about this the more she wanted to know.

dale007
"If you don't mind sir I'll explain it. To answer your question Lindsay about five thousand years. A Goa'Uld named RA ruled over Earth five thousand years ago but the human slaves rebelled against him. The Stargate was buried until it was found again in Egypt." Dale replied.

DragonWoman
Lindsay nodded, "So Ra was a real person not just a myth like everyone thinks with ancient gods like that right?" She continued, a little wierded out that he knew her name when she didn't know his. Hell...she only knew one person in here, that was the Brigadier!

Aliies
"Uhh, Major Lindsay, you're forgetting the 'sir' part..." Tomas pointed out, finally coming out of his own little word as the whoe stargate idea was now beginning to makes strange sort-of sense in his mind...

SpikeSpiegel
"When is our first mission, sir?" David asks confidently, still staring at the wonder of the stargate.

DragonWoman
Lindsay bit the side of her lip, "Sorry sir." She apologised and quietened down, sometimes her inner self got the better of her when she became overly enthusiastic about something.

Aliies
"To start, we'll take you through a simple Reconnaisance trip alongside RSG-1, the team you saw exit the gate just earlier... I'd like you all to meet your assisting team-leader, Colonel Il'yavitch..." Edwards directed everyone's eyes to the doorway alongside the Brigadier's office, a stern Russian woman who looked in her early-thirties marched out as militaialistically as anyone could ever be, almost like she was showing off... Tomas' eyebrow hit the ceiling as he stole a stare at her well-toned structure...

"Good day to you, my team has been called off duty to assist in the initial training of your new team, for that I shall be as you would say your drill instructor... We will be travelling to the Alpha-Site from where we can start the official induction..." she spoke as if reading off of cue-cards, her every word exactly like the stereo-typical drill-sergeants of boot camp...

"Well, you heard the lady! You have forty minutes to prep, then get ready to go through the gate... Dismissed!" Edwards finished, evryone stood to their feet and saluted the Brigadier as he entered his small office behind the glass map at the back of the briefing room.
Tomas stole one more glimpse at the legs of the Russian Colonel, she noticed him and he covered it up with an over-emphasized cough.

"If you'd like to follow... We get you geared up..." Il'yavitch spoke, directing them to the dorrway from which she had entered.
"So... You got a first name with those..." Tomas said rather stupidly as they made their way to the lockerooms, Il'yavitch scoffed as she realized what he was talking about...

"Colonel Nikisha Il'yavitch..." she said, expertly hiding a smile...

DragonWoman
Lindsay shook her head slightly as the Australian man made a literal idiot out of himself by gawking at the Russian Colonel. She followed the pair, allowing the rest of their group to follow but keeping behind enough not to seem to be eavesdropping on their conversations.

dale007
Dale just followed the others. He really wanted to get back out there, going through the Stargate. He looked at the Stargate one last time before he steeped through the doors.

DragonWoman
Lindsay fell back a little and flashed a smile at the gentleman trailing behind the group, catching his glance at the gate she raised a brow a little and spoke, "It's really out there ain't it?" She commented allowing a tinge of interest to touch on her tone, she offered a hand, "Sorry...name's Lindsay McMillan...Major in the USMC."

Aliies
The Colonel felt like a dog on a leash, he found that Russian woman entoxicating, when she turned around to speak to the group again, Tomas only just realized that they had just walked the length of the complex and were now infront of the Lockeroom doors.

"Inside the changerooms you will find your personal ockers, inside is your new uniforms and equipment; men's room on the left, women's on the right..." Nikisha stated.

dale007
Dale walked into the men's changeroom and found a locker with his name on it. He opened it and found his new uniform. Five minutes latter he had changed into his new uiform and was getting his equipment ready for the training mission, not that he neaded any training. He stepped outside with Colonel Nikisha and waited for the others to get ready.

Aliies
Tomas donned his gear and the officer's cap, the grey-greens of the uniform suited his tastes though nothing of the like could be said of the weapon...

A heavily-modified P90 with a bizzare flashing white light on the sight, he by-far preferred the standard-issue Steyr of the Australian army, this little box-shaped popgun felt like a children's toy in comparison...

Reluctantly, he finished up and entered the hallway, momentarily wondering if any of this was worth it... then he remembered the Russian Colonel and his mind was at ease...

DragonWoman
Lindsay felt a little out of place when she was the only one to prepare herself in the separated changerooms. Choosing a locker several spots from the door, she made sure in the mirror closer to the back of the room that her appearance was acceptable before moving her now grey clad form into the wider hall and leaning against the cement wall as she waited for the others to join in.

dale007
Dale looked up to see Lindsay walking out of the women's chaging rooms and leanded against the wall. "So Major, Colonel what do you think of everything so far?" Dale asked them both.

Aliies
just shortly after everyone was finished, the facility began to shake, the warning lights flashed and the gate operator's voice rolled through the hallways, "Unscheduled offworld activation... Repeat, Unscheduled offworld activation! Security to the gate-room!"

The Russian Colonel looked up and around at the signal, "Follow!" she set off at a dead-sprint back towards the gateroom, she wore the same equipment as everyone else but was far more agile than the newcomers. As they arrived, the blast-door was rolled back once more, revealing the gateroom ladened with heavily armed security personelle; the final chevron engaged as the iris closed, the brilliant flash shining on the rear wall of the gateroom...

"General, We're recieving RSG-2's IGC..." the operator quoted from the incomin signal.

"Open the Iris!" Edwards stated firmly, not taking his eyes off the gate.

The Iris spun open and immediately solid ammunition and ZAT fire flew through, bouncing off the shield-window of the control room, two of the security guards took a ZAT shot each, stunning them.
A single ripple formed as one of the Russian team launched himself through, shouting for them to close the gate.
The iris sealed again and the wormhole closed, the medical crew tended to the man's wounds and helped the stunned soldiers to their feet.

After they took him to the infirmary, the solitary team-member revealed that the Alpha site had come under attack, a foothold situation where the gate had fallen to remnant Goa'uld rebels after an A-SG team was comprimised...

Later in the briefing room, General Edwards revealed that RSG-1 and the Newly-formed SG-3 (Thats us) would be leading the mission to retake the facility before their foothold grew too firm.
"Trial by fire... we havn't even been on the training program..." Tomas announced enthusiastically...

"Either way, you'll be shipping out at thirteen hundred hours once we prepare the plan of attack..." Edwards stated grimly, his wanton enthusiasm had vanished.

(Sorry this was rushed, I had very little time to organise the plot-line and so far it's working out!)

DragonWoman
Lindsay, silent as she listened to all that was said had a little surge of adreneline. They were going through the gate in a matter of hours to help secure an area on a completely alien planet. This would be very interesting indeed...

dale007
Dale listened to what the General had to say then he spoke up. "So what happens if no one's alive at the alpha site?" Dale asked expecting the worse.

DragonWoman
"We get the bodies back for analysis I suppose." She spoke in reply to Dale's question, hoping that he was wrong.

Aliies

DragonWoman
Lindsay followed Tomas through, her head spinning at the excertion taken out on her body as she was ripped through the porthole and before she knew it her heavy military issue boot was stepping onto a lower step, checking herself and watching as the senior officer fell down the stairs infront of her, she placed a foot tentively forward. Moving to the senior officers aid, "You alright sir?"

dale007
After Dale came through the worhole he turned to see Colonel Seglins falling down the steps. A few seconds latter Major McMillan walking out of the worhole.

" Colonel Seglins, your doing better than I did when I first came through the worhole." Dale said helping Tomas up. "I threw up a couple of times the first time I went through it. We'll wait for Lt. Colonel Tyler to come through before we move on." Dale added.

DragonWoman
Lindsay looked up and smiled, repressing a smile and a laugh, it was a little disorienting but she'd managed to keep her head on straight to her own surprise and stood up, looking back at the alien stargate and waiting with the others.

SpikeSpiegel
David stepped through the gate last, holding his P-90 up and scanning the room for hostiles. He moved down the steps to the other members of his team.

Aliies
"That'll wake ya' up in the morning..." Colonel Seglins managed to get up wearily, "But I'm sure we shouldn't be standing around idly when we're in the mission sector! Dale, take the lead..." he coughed, lowering his voice.

their radios crackled softly, the RSG team leader spoke up, "No time for chatter, move out!"

The team followed Ilýavitch down to the main entrance, which just so happened to be sealed and the controls torn rom the wall.
"Bariesheff, run a bypass... if not we try for the upper ventilations..."
The Russian second in command tried to piece together the remaining wires of the destroyed panel, linking them up to a PDA...

"This could take a moment..." he said quietly, deep in concentration.

DragonWoman
Lindsay took a defensive position at the rear as they moved on, sweeping her vision from side to side, her senses not quite on edge but close to it.

dale007
"How long will we be in the building?" Dale asked the russian second in command.

Aliies
"Hard to say... It seems that Goa'uld have reprogrammed the security grid..." The magnetic lock graoned as it released, suprising the man, "...Well, there it is! Colonel Il'yavitch?"

"Da!" she responded, calling for her squad to advance and for SG-3 to cover her. The next room had obviously been under heavy fire recently, there was a rich smell of burnt air and gunpower, scorch-marks lined the walls at random yet frequent intervals.
The mission-leader held her fist up, calling for a halt and for everyone to get down... just shortly down the hall a group of SG-A personnel lay quite still against the walls, Nikisha checked the seven bodies, all negative, she signed the clear to advance...

A high-pitched discharging sound resounded through the hall as a brilliant blue beam of energy hit the Colonel in the chest, the three remaining RSG-1 members returned fire upon the unseen foe... Two more shots ripped down towards them, impacting two of the others, dropping them, the remaining officer, Major Bariesheff fell back to the main group.

"I don't think we'll be going that way!" Colonel Seglins called for them to fall back in order to try and bottle-neck the enemy at the gate-room doorway, "Covering fire!" he shouted suddenly as he made a brave yet idiotic charge to drag Nikisha back.
The others had no choice but to follow, firing blindly down the hallway, more ZAT-gun shots chased after them, this time not as accurate as the last.

He cleared the unconious Colonel and made a hasty change in his tactics, looking sternly at Colonel Dale as he obviously didn't approve of being seconded after being placed in command.
He unclipped a Phospherous grenade and hurled it down the hallway, diving for cover as he went; the darkened area exploded in a shower of blinding light and a deafening sound hit them through their covered ears. "Move out!" Tomas called.

The group checked the other RSG units, thankfully still alive as they moved down the hall, towards the unforseen foe... There were three of them, all dressed in the grey-greens of Stargate personnel, but their voices as they rubbed their burnt eyes was not human, an amplified howl of pain that sounded as if their throats were charged with electricity...

"Bind them, we'll deal with them later... Let's move out and get this job done; flashbangs and these laser-gun-things only, we want them alive, deadly force only if neccessary...

DragonWoman
Lindsay moved out into the safe area behind the group and rounded onto the exit, weapon ready, her brows furrowed in both concentration and worry, she tilted her head slightly to the left and spoke over her shoulder, "Ok what the hell just happened?"

Aliies
"Don't ask me..." Tomas said stupidly, he only knew how to fight, not analyse the enemy... "Dale, your incharge now... Orders?"

dale007
"We need find find out if anyone else is still alive and to restore power back to the building. Oh Colonel I don't want to see another idiotic charge like that OK?" Dale asked Tomas. He turned to move and relized that they didn't know about the Zat guns.

"The Lazer guns that you called thew. There called Zat guns, one shot stuns them another shot kills them and the third shot vaperize them.Ok lets move on then." Dale added.

Aliies
Tomas' eyes went wide, he was being shot at by alien ray-guns, like the whole stargate thing wasn't enough! As he bound the stunned Goa'Uld, He slipped two of the ZATs into seperate jacket pouches, thinking they might come in handy later on...

"How do ya use em'?"

SpikeSpiegel
"They're nothing, you should see some of the other stuff these guys have, sir" David says, picking up another zat gun, and slipping it into his belt. "It's pretty self explantary, just push there to open it, aim and fire. Watch out though, it's a tad slow at firing several shots at a time, so you better aim well."

Aliies
(I've seen someone lay off a three-shot burst with a ZAT in two seconds... they only fire slowly so they don't miss stick out tongue)

"That's another reason why I took two..." he said with a sly grin, slinging his P90 and taking the two in a hand each, a maniacal grin upon his face.

SpikeSpiegel
~In my head I always seem to picture them firing them off like 1 shot per 2 seconds for some reason stick out tongue~

"You're not going to go Rambo on us are you sir?" David says looking at his superiors manical grin

DragonWoman
"Lets hope not." Lindsay muttered.

Aliies
"Perhaps..." his grin leaning towards the sly, "Lead the way Dale... Your call"

dale007
"Ok I hope we find some more people alive and what's been going on around here. I want to find out what the Goa'uld are up to. Lets move out and head that way." Dale pionted down one of the hallways leading to the control room.

Aliies
Tomas followed Dale down the hall, crouched low and moving slowly to avoid detection, moving from cover to cover, P90 locked and ready...

dale007
"I think we're getting closer now. Keep your eyes out for anything we don't know what's down here." Dale said to the group as he loaded his P-90.

Aliies
Tomas'heart was pounding, three years posted in the Indonesian conflicts was child's-play compared to this... he checked his weapon like dale and followed him further down the hall, past the bound and gagged-guards...
