THE ARENA

Located in the central vector of 18 correllating wormhole paths, this peacefull yet powerfull earthen mass is home to none other than the well known and thoroughly respected 'Arena' fighting congomerate.

Set up by a Trill family, the 'Arena' has been running for just over 3 centuries with a broad spectrum of mentors, fighters and students alike that have lived through the toils of the encampment and what it offers.

Here, exclusive invitations have been sent to all corners of space both local, inter-dimensional and inter-time lined by the large array of staff that inhabit the planet.

Now, it is time for the 'Arena' to reopen its portals for the new intake of fighters...welcome...to your new home.

Arturas Paced the observation deck of the shuttle, he had gone too long without a challenge and felt almost anxious... a Pathetic terran trait...

His tall, almost-spidery frame towered over the lesser inhabitants of the small transport, he used it to stare down anyone who might stare back at the unfamiliar Xeno from another dimension.
He rubbed the bridge of his nose with a long, yet powerful finger, the Protoss were Fragile-appearing people, but they had the strength to tear a punt human clean in two without weapons...

Akiko began to remember everything her father told her about what the next stage of her training was going to be like, something out of this world... literally.

The year in her world was 2006, and she has seen as many hours of science fiction movies as she has trained in her martial arts, but this wasn't going to be a movie, or a story... it was going to be for real.

She wasn't exactly sure when or how her ancestors met with the alien race that invited them to the interstellar tornement, but one thing is certain, every family member that left for the arena came back stronger, faster, smarter, and more talented than ever... plus every one of her family members came back alive.

She entered the ancient portal to the arena with no regrets, and little fear. Her objective now is clear, to find a new sensei, and to get into a fight... and to win it.

Meilon made her way briskly through the main encampment. The larger buildings surrounding her had been newly furnished thanks to the help from some traders who'd benefited more than personally from one or two of her previous students some 20 years beforehand. Things where looking up, she'd personally run through some of the more 'interesting' fighters biographies before sending out the invitations via her own comm link.
Hoping to see atleast a few of them before making the travel to the fighting arena to check up on things, her small wrist comm vibrated and she flicked it open, "Ma'am...the portals are open...we should be expecting some of the travellers quite soon." Came the voice of one of her crew, this made Meilon smile, "Good, inform me when the Jedi arrives." She flicked the comm closed and jogged into the thick jungle, making for the fighting arena ahead of schedule.

Jenth's Jedi Interceptor made its way through the interuniversal wormhole in the outer rim of the galaxy, near Muunilinst. He was held back against his seat for a moment as the stars seemed to streak and then disappear. Then all was normal, but his ship, instead of being over a world of plains, was over a Kashyyyk-like planet. He decended among the treetops and landed in a clearing near a clump of building. His door opened up automatically and Jenth flipped forward and out of his vehicle...

Meilon's head snapped up as a craft landed naught but 100 metres from the fighting arena. She smiled a little and nodded to one of the technitians, leaving the men and women to their work she jogged off toward the craft knowing already who had landed mere moments before.

Jenth's head turned as he heard someone moving quickly toward him. He saw a woman with foreign markings along her neck, and sensed that she was the leader of The Arena. Bowing to her even though she was still running, he declared, "I am Jedi Master Jenth Besh, and I have heard that you are expecting me."

Akiko walked out of the portal and looked around, unsure of what might come next, and clueless to where to go or who to talk to... she listened to her surroundings noticing why her father made her learn english... it sounded like the main language around here.

She walked up to the nearest person that looked like they worked around here and asked. "Where do I sign up?"

The yellow and dark-blue shuttle beeped and hummed as it set down on the soft earth underfoot, Arturas nimbly lept off the craft before it parked itself away from the main settlement.
The carressing of the cold air was comforting, Protoss were extremly hot-blooded, this planet would send a Terran shivering.

The Planet was dull and occaisionally the hum of birds of the crackle of the nearby fires rose up to challenge the silence, A small congregation of random people met around the small bon-fires on the outskirts of the settlement. The odd mix of races was like looking into an opal...

As he approached, a few of the meet looked up at him suspiciously, his shady form dressed in the stealthy robes of the Dark Templar made him stand out... To his suprise, none of them cowered when he approached, these were fighters indeed, as the invitation had suggested; Either way he dispised nyone not of Protoss decent...

Meilon inclined her head to the Jedi as she approached, "I am Meilon Calara, descendent of Julien Calara the first Trill to run this Arena. Welcome to our planet Master Jedi...I hope your travel was an easy one?"

"The journey itself was fine, it was what led me here that wasn't. But I will put that behind me as I begin a new life here at The Arena, one that I hope is more pleasant and fulfilling than my last one." With this, Jenth indicated that he wished to be shown where to go next, and waited on Meilon or one of her servants to show him.

Hades walked slowy to the portal. He had recived an inventaion to join an interstellar tornement, he had left his first prime Geshak in charge while he was gone. He had arrined at the portal's location and stepped though it. The portal felt much like an stargates wormhole. When he arrived at the arena'a planet, his Jaffa styled armour glowed in the sunlight as he walked he noticed a few fighter looking at him wierdly he looked back at them but they looked away from him. "I wonder where to go from here." Hades spoke loudly so someone would here him.

She walked over to Hades, noticing he was new too. "First time too?" She asked with a friendly tone. Notcing he didn't look like he was from earth, although he looked fairly 'human'. "I can't seem to find anyone that is here to guide us to our destination, so i'm assuming that our first 'task' or 'challenge' is to find it ourselves... wanna join me?"

She was anxious to try to make a friend on this new world, because without one, her path ahead will be brutal.

Arturas looked over the strangely-over-dressed human, his voice seemed accelerated and he could sense that he, like himself did not appreciate being badgered. His inert senses could detect another life within him, controlling him as the human shell he rode was otherwise quite empty... He immediately distrusted the man, though as much as Arturas hated the Terran species, to destroy a life from within and consume the soul was one of the greatest criminal acts that he knew...

Meilon nodded as the Jedi spoke, "I am glad to hear that and the first time through the portholes can be somewhat disconcerting no matter your race...come and walk with me. I was just about to make my way back to the main settlement."

She started to head toward the center of all the attention, searching for staff or anything that looked like a sign-in desk. "Hmmm, A little customer service wouldnt hurt anyone....."

The main settlement was literally swarming with combatants, teachers and spectators alike, each one as different and as alien as the next.
Being the first of his race to recieve an invitation, Arturas came on behalf of his clan, more or less a representative of their militarialistic prowess and many of the other looked at him either curiously or with mistrust in their eyes as the unfamiliar alien was exactly that; alienesque...

"Yes It's my first time here. Sure I'll join you to find out where to go. I wonder where we go from here?" Hades asked her, he then noticed a man staring at him he could tell that he disliked him.

She continued to walk until she found the heart of the main settlement, she then looked for staff, if they werent here... where would they be. "Hopefully we find help here... or I have no idea" she was amazed at all the different races wondering how many planets there are out there.

Akiko spotted someone that cought her eyes... the Dark Templar, ofcorse, she didn't know what it was, it's just that he stood out... only one of his race she could see... made wonder if he felt like she did, as if he was the only one from his planet... or time period...

"I wonder if he knows anything"

She walked over to the templar "Hey, do you know where I complete registration... or rather... where I have to go now, I just got here.." She hope he was friendly... or atleast not violent

Arturas stood at over twice the height of the young human girl, he estimated that she was less than a twentieth of his age...
The sharp-burning-glow of his green eyes scanned her feeble form (Protoss find humans weak), saying nothing but giving her a stare that would make a Lion cower.
Arturas barely noticed the man standing next to her, he mistrusted him and now was thinking the same way about the girl.
In the rudest gesture he could think of, the towering dark templar walked past her without a word, pushing her and Ares' shoulders away as he went.

She smiled and looked at Hades "I Think he likes you..." She then continued to search for any staff whatsoever.

((He doesn't like you either, I'm afraid... he like his race respects power, beat him in the arena or come close and he may come to like you...))

Akiko was so preoccupied, looking at all the aliens that she accidentally walked into someone. "Sorry!" She looked at Meilon and grinned "Do you know where I can find somebody that knows where I have to go... I just got here.. and im sorta lost "

Meilon, thin brown eyebrow raised smiled at the young woman, "You're looking at that someone. Let me introduce myself...I am Meilon Calara, the managing judge and head fighter of this establishment."

"Hello" She straitened herself up and her joyful look instantly looked more professional, she offered her hand to shake "I'm Akiko Ito, from Earth, 2006. I guess its safe to assume you might know some of my relatives if you've been here for a while... like my brothers."

Meilon nodded, "Yes and it is upon such basis that I invited you, one of our youngest fighters this year might I add..." Smiling a little and taking the younger womans hand and shaking it, "Welcome to The Arena Planetetia all of you."

"I am Hades of the Gou'ald." Hades said to Meilon. He then turned to Arturas and watched him out of one counder of his eye he held his Zat Gun close to him but hidden in case he needed it.

Meilon inclined her head to Hades, "It's an honor to finally meet you...I have awaited your arrival with anticipation." She paused, "You will be the first of the Gou'ald to take a position in the order of the Arena's records if I'm not mistaken?"

She looked at the jedi, just thinking about who he is and what he could do. "Hello" She said to him, realising she probably interruped one of his conversations.

Jenth did not at all seem interrupted, and bowed very slightly to the young woman, who seemed to be the only one of the exact same race as himself.

Arturas was exceedingly perceptive, he noticed and sensed that the Hades character was nervous around him, he hid something, possibly a weapon... Nevertheless it made him snort slightly in amusement...

he made his way over to Melion and the rest of the group, his senses went wild as he approached the Jedi, innate power surrounded the humble-appearing Terran; he respected the man immediately.

"Entaro-Zeratul, Melion of Arena..." His psychic-amplified voice echoed not in their ears but in their very minds, his burning green eyes flaring ever-so slightly as he thought each word, "I am Arturas of Shakuras, son of Artanis, first of the Sons of Auir to grace such a place, I come to show the prowess of my people and our love for the Combat-arts, hopefully to spread the illumination of the Protoss..."

His introduction was a little over the top but he bowed politely to both Melion and the Jedi in respect... His piericing eyes momentarily scanning the Goa'uld trying his hand at intimidating the under-sized creature, his gaze enough to make men cower...

Wow he can talk telepathically! She thought, ignoring how fearsome he looked, fear was an ememy she defeated long ago. She didn't bother introducing herself to the templar, since he obviously didn't care much for her... probably understimating her due to her age and gender... or maybe even because she was human.

She then looked at Meilon and asked "Where do we go from here? Do we need to sign up or something, or is it already done..." she thought about how much of a outsider/beginner she sounded like "...sorry" she continued, not knowing what else to say.

The psychic talk did not surprise Jenth as much as it did the others, and, after he bowed in return to the "Protoss", as he called himself, he responded mentally, "I am Jedi Master Jenth Besh. I am here to find a new apprentice and teach them in the ways of the force."

Meilon smiled at Akiko, "One of the attendants will be along shortly to escort you each to your quarters that shall be your homes while you reside here." She inclined her head slightly to the Protoss, she'd heard much of the race and had been anticipated meeting this particular individual.

"I see" She contiuned observing all the alien's, starting to feel excited. "This is going to be intereting..."

Arturas bowed his head silently in respect to the Jedi, the others looking between them as they spoke without words, almost looking like they were mimes...

"I am curious as to this Jedi you speak of for I have never had the honor of hearing the term..."

"Yes I'm the first Gou'ald, but not the last." Hades spoke to Meilon. He then herd the man beside him speak for the first time, so he was psychic most interesting. "So how long have you been able to do that?" Hades asked Arturas looking at him.

"Apparently you have little aptitude for observation, My race do not have what you call mouths, our vocal chords extend into the lower part of our minds, granting us untapped mental power..." He once again stared him down, annoyed that the parisitic worm addressed him like a friend...

Waiting until he was done speaking to Hades, Jenth spoke to Arturas. "The Jedi are an Order of Knights who defend the citizens of the Galactic Republic from the likes of the Trade Federation, Techno Union, and the Confederacy of Independent Systems."

Akiko felt left out and waited patiently to be directed to her new sleeping quarters. She hoped there were more like her around here, more humans. Then, she looked upon the jedi well... I guess he counts she thought, and smiled to herself.

A small team of drab attired staff approached the group and introduced them to their charges, Alida to Akiko, Meliath to Jenth, Kuroth to Hades , Medoran to Arturas and Meilon's assistant Keila had accompanied the group to speak in private to her boss.

After Alida introduced herself Akiko responed "Hey Alida" while offering to shake hands. "Pleased to meet you"

She then looked around and whispered into Alida's ear "When do I go to my room, I feel a little out of place here... my universe has no alien species, yet, and well... its a little intimidating" she grinned slightly.

Alida shook the young womans hand and smiled, "Dont worry, we can go now and I understand...I extracted myself from your universe in 1998...no doubt a lot has changed since then."

"Really?" She was interested in this person already "only a bit, technology is getting better and better, and..." she thought about all the alien races here that probably have space colonies, then laughed "... and we landed a space rover on mars"

She waited for Alida to escort her to her room then followed, conversing on the way.

Alida began to move away from the group, nodding as the younger woman spoke, "You know I was only a tiny bit older than you when I shifted here permanently...I used to be a fighter in the arena but now I work for Meilon..."

"Heh, maybe thats my future... if my siblings don't go and get themselves killed, so I don't have to take over the family, this place is like i'm living in a science fiction book" she looked around, amazed at everything she saw while following Alida

"I know, I felt the same way when I came here for the first time...it's a little overwhelming for the first few days but after that you get used to it." She explained, moving through the large ancient structures.

Hades justed listened and kept watch of Arturas. <If he is physic maybe he's already knows what I am....> Hades though to himself.

(He can't read minds but he can read Hades' behaivior like a book, he knows... That's why he mistrusts him...)

Arturas simply stared down at Medoran (assuming he's humanoid), not knowing what the purpose of being introduced to this man was...
He looked at Melion quisically, wondering what was happening...

Arturas bowed only to Melion and Jenth, leaving the others idly to go with Medoran. Not long after they had begun to make their way over, Arturas inquired telepathically and almost anxiously, "When might the first of the combat begin, I would enjoy a soon-coming fight and would be honored to enlist amongst the first..."

Medoran raised an inquisitive brow and smiled, returning the telepathic message after a few moments of thought. "The first fights will proceed when Meilon formally opens the Arena..."

"You can challenge others as they may well with you. However if you do not wish to fight as of yet then you may publicly announce that you wish to train as a sudent first...trust me when I say that no one here will look down upon you for doing so."

Jenth returned Arturas' bow and followed Meliath to his quarters. Fighting was the last thing on his mind because of the carnage of the Clone Wars that he had just left, he asked her, "So, what is there to do here besides fighting?"

Arturas was mildly impressed that many people here could speak to him as his own people, but he was growing impatient that there were obvious ceremonies and the like before any form of combat would take place...

He had left the fifth zerg war on Auir to join this arena for his people, not stand around socializing with those he will fight...

"I guess I should do that first, it wouldnt be wise to just challenge on the bat without a teacher of some sort to give me pointers and tips" she smiled "Did you start fighting or as a student?"

"I began here as a student, it was not long before I learned much and before long I myself was teaching..."

Hades turned to Kuroth and spoke to him. "So Kuroth is it? I'm Hades of Gou'ald." Hades said to Kuroth shaking his hand. "Kuroth are you a fighter or a student in the Arena?" Hades asked Kuroth.

"The teacher will come to you...it is difficult to explain. So I advise you to wait young one and you shall see how things unfold."

"I am a fighter...I have been and always will be, but now...I am a teacher, I have schooled amany to the art of battle inwardly and outwardly within the last 20 years that I have taken residence here and it is refreshing to see new faces..." Kuroth almost towered over the Gou'ald and his voice resonated through the surrounding areas as they continued onward to seek out Hades' quarters.

Akiko replied "Okay, thank's a lot. I will announce my student status tomorrow" She went into her quarters and got comfortable

Alida smiled a little, happy that she'd been able to answer atleast a few of the younger woman's questions. Turning away and making her way back to the main complex, the small ever so slightly satisfied smile remained.

Meilon and Keila's figures stood in a shadowed area, voices hushed in what seemed to be reverent need for secrecy. A glint for a moment showed that Meilon had glanced up, making sure no one was around before they 'moved out' and toward a locked building.

Arturas requested the smallest available room, his needs were simple and once he was alone, placing himself in a medatative position on the floor, doing the one thing that calmed him down... his psychic voice setting a low rumble as he hummed his way into focus...

(Is the arena on Earth? Also, Whats happened so far?)

(It's another planet, and nothing much, just introductions and every1 arriving)

It was now night and the movements around the large main encampment had slowed significantly in the dim light of the planet's second moon. Several figures made their way around the dark paths in their nightly duties. Two as such where Meilon and Keila, both focussed on the same subject that had taken up on most of their day.

anyone here?
