SNK Boss Syndrome vs MK2 Arcade cheapness.

For Shao Kahn's amusement, Geese Howard has to fight the tiger-striped Shokan warrior.

Stage: Kahn's Arena

Geese: CvSNK2 version w/ SNK Boss Syndrome

Kintaro: MK2 version w/ Arcade difficulty

TricksterPriest
SNK boss syndrome ftw. Geese has the atemi nage, and MK characters telegraph like hell. not to mention the raging storm.

Funny. So does Kintaro...in a sense. You try and jumpkick him, Kintaro blocks, grabs you out of the air, and slams you. And with the way that Kintaro knocks you around, I seriously doubt that the Atemi Nage would work when Kintaro teleport stomps the crap out of you.

Kintaro also deals mad damage with his thrust punch and uppercut, leaving the opponent with more air time than Tony Jaa and his flying knees.

TricksterPriest
Jodan Atemi Nage stops all high attacks and physical special moves. So much for the tele stomp. reading So what's he for the reppuken and jaeiken? And what about the deadly rave and shippuken? From a gameplay perspective, a good geese can win this if he plays defensively.

Storyline, Geese tosses Kintaro on his ass. beer

Kintaro is a boss character, so Geese will have to rely on his other tricks other than his counters.

Not to bash on Geese, Kintaro has nothing but brute force going for him. Geese tries the Jaeiken or Deadly Rave, he will get knocked out of it or slammed. Or as mentioned above, should Geese tries to counter with the A. Nage, the results will be VERY bad for Geese.

Geese's only chance in defeating Kintaro is to catch him off guard when he's taunting, or coming out of a missed teleport stomp, and use a combo. If one can combo into the D. Rave and R. Storm, it won't do as much damage, but it will damage Kintaro (he DOES have massive endurance)

Geese may be tough, but I doubt that he has experience fighting against Shokan warriors.

TricksterPriest
Geese may be outmatched on endurance, but the guy is called "The Immortal" for a reason. He just won't die. I think he can win this, but he'll be coughing up blood and maybe a lung later.

In MK2, we all rember the stomp, but but if Kintaro catchs you with 3 or so Fireballs, over half of her life is gone lol.

Kintaro's NORMAL moves like his punchs and uppercuts do major damage, and his power moves do MORE. Geese has more than the stomp to worry about. He could win it. But Kintaro relly has no answers to Kitana's fan lift tactics. OTher than that, Kintaro owns all the MK fighters in MK2.

I remember that. Fan Lift, Jump kick into Air Fan Toss, uppercut (when in corner). For Subzero and Reptile, it's the dropkick into Slide combo.

Well Reptile relly has nothing on Kintaro though. He be lucky if he got the drop kick IN. But mostly Reptile would get it block, and than follow by a thown.

I never beat Kintaro with Reptile. It was always Scorpion and his spear, Subzero and his freeze and Kitana's fan lift that did the job there. The more I think about it, Kintaro's MAIN weakness is moves that will stun or disable him.
