Can these two defeat the Mad Titan

I haven't seen enough of current Thanos to decide how powerful he really is.

since current Orion can wield the Astro Force, and Surfer has been highly upgraded...... They should be able to take this

Thanos killed Silver Surfer and Surfer beat Orion...

He beat the "toughest" Army in the Universe with easy called the Ovin Mercenary Army

Do I have to say that he didn't do it to fight Galactus but to get him angry and to get his attenion.

Yeah and Thanos is also more powerful to.

Galactus had to use alot more power then he thought he would had to bring down Thanos's field

Thanos wasn't trying to get his attention or make him angry, he was trying to get him away from the Infinity Gems (which he did) to give himself time to disassemble them. Thanos didn't want to engage Galactus. Oh and where is it said Galactus was weakened there? I recall Thanos commenting he was well nourished, but not weakened.

he was far from well nourished IMO

Thats just an artistic screw up, Thanos states on panel he is well nourished.

I don't have the comic with me to scan but I know the page is floating around here somewhere, probably the Thanos respect thread. Thanos says to Galactus something along the lines of he can't help but notice Galactus is well nourished and doesn't need to feed on the planet he is about too, Galactus basically tells him to mind his own business.

Nope, Thanos can't beat Galactus, I think he even says prior to that confrontation that his power is nothing compared to Galactus and says he is the most dangerous (or powerful..) opponent he has ever faced. It is an impressive feat though to do what he did to Galactus, which is why the scan gets posted a lot.

I've no idea how powerful Orion is now, so I'm not commenting on this fight by the way!

We will have to see it in the Comic Books.
