Thanos grows weary of being considered a second tier to Galactus. The mad tyrant wants to assume his rightful place as the mighty cosmic threat that he is. However, as long as Galactus roams the galaxy, Thanos will always be relegated to being a second class cosmic entity. Biding his time for the right opportunity, Thanos discovers a portal to the DC universe, where he happened to be greeted by none other than the fiery death stare of the true Darkseid (not an avatar). Just before Darkseid was about to unleash his Omega Beams on the tyrant, Thanos reveals his peaceful intentions and manages to convince Darkseid to aid him in his quest to defeat Galactus by promising Darkseid the anti-life equation. They both quickly realize that they are not powerful enough, even together, to bring down Galactus. Thanos sets out to enlist the aid of the Living Planet, Ego. Ego, upon learning of Thano's plan, was only too eager to have the chance to get revenge upon Galactus. Almost set to wage the fight, Thanos remembers one of his toughest foes, Odin. Surely, he would turn the tide in their favor. Exploiting his manipulation skills to the fullest, Thanos manages to convince Odin that Galactus is a mutual threat and will sooner or later endanger the very safety of Asgard. With his team fully assembled, Thanos completes his preparation by obtaining the magnificent Power Gem. After Thanos briefs his fellow teammates on the abilities and weaknesses of Galactus, the four set out on their mission to kill the Planet-eater.

Unbeknownst to them, Galactus has just fed on a re-energizing meal of a planet full of life and no longer hungers.

When these two forces clash, who emerges victor??!

Bump. It took me too long to write this for it to get no posts.

I think it would be an interesting battle.

I thought it was a pretty nice setup, but I don't know enough about the characters to make a decision.

nobody has any thoughts on this battle?

there aren't really any... full powered galactus feats...
you got hungry galactus... not hungry galactus.. .and full powered...
the first two have feats.. the third one... not so much... and seeing as the first two have been beaten before... and assumedly the second was probably the one the lost to ego...

I'd say Thanos somehow uses his power gem to end up binding Darkseid and raping him for his power... using the oe... Thanos kills off odin for his odinforce... and then using the oe powered odinforce... becomes a cosmic entity by killing ego...

So now cosmic entity Thanos empowered by the powers of 1 cosmic entity living planet.. and 2 skyfathers... and with the power gem... i'd say .... wins 4/10. just a hunch... nothing to really base it on

Thanos, Darky, and Odin hold hands and pull a power gem enhanced Omega Godblast.

Galactus dies from both the blast and the embarrasment.

Odin, Thanos, and Darkseid agree never to mention to anyone that they held hands to beat an opponent.

You make a good case, MR.Master. But Galactus's role in that was more a result of his position and unique abilities, not raw power.

Galactus was ABSORBING the ENITRE UNIVERSE and in order to avoid ABSORBING ALL Reality (Beyond that Universe) he OBLITERATED it from existence.

The energy of Galactus could fit into six planets...

You are absolutely right Mr.Master, this was a future that never happened, but it showed you what Galactus at full potential is really capable of. And was powerful enough too kill the whole race of Celestails and he killed the second most powerful Celestial in the dreaming Celestail in that story arc.

This is Canon and it did happen, but as you implied, Galactus rectified the situation by erasing that Universe and Timeline from existence.


The cool thing is, we see a definitive Canon depiction of what Big G is capable of,

like Reed said, even the entire Universe will not be enough someday.... ouch.

The Galactus from that arc I just posted is his potential to absorb Energy on a Universal scale and even beyond that according to Reed Richards.

He was in the process of doing it, it's not some would of, could of, should of situation, he stopped himself by erasing that Universe and himself.

To be honest, I didn't know how galactus was at the time. Could you post a scan and clear that up?

If Galactus got so hungry that he was going to absorb the universe, wouldn't he have already starved?

Galactus is not at his greatest potential in this fight. He has just re-energized himself with a healthy meal of a planet. But that is nowhere near the potential Mr Master's scans portray him to be. I'd say Galactus' power limit is nowhere near that of Doom's when he stole Galactus World Ship power in 'Secret Wars.'

I would say that Thanos' Power Gem is more than enough to win. Since I believe Thanos is capable of exerting the requisite control necessary to harness unlimited power, he'd just amp himself up to a power capable of destroying Galactus. Galactus' vast Cosmic Awareness and telepathic skills might assault Thanos' mind and break him on that front, preventing him from harnessing the Power Gem... but your inclusion of Ego might stop this. Ego also has vast telepathic powers and would combat Galactus on that front. Galactus would have to run and think of some way to wrest the Power Gem away or think of some way of separating the two.

Darkseid sits this one out because he really is a tool, whose OE can never affect those necessary to the cosmic consonance. Odin would turn on Thanos before helping him. His wisdom in seeing Thanos' plot or understanding Galactus nature would see to that. Since Odin's purpose was to end the cycle of Ragnarok through Thor, he may not simply give a crap. If the conflict threatened Asgard or Earth, he'd do his best to keep the conflict away.

Thanos & Ego 7/10 because Thanos has truly done a lot more than defeat Galactus before...

Galactus at full potential is greater than one power gem, Galactus at fullpotentail was about to destroy the whole universe. Galactus will smoke Darkseid, Odin, Ego and Thanos in his sleep, Galactus devoured everything in his path he killed the second most powerful celestail dreaming celestail with ease absorbing him.

One Celestail alone made Odin bow down to Arsihem the judge like a b***h, darkseid already got dealt with and that was by a hungry Galactus that swated him like a fly, Ego will get KO, Thanos will just leave the battle field and wouldn't none of a full powered Galactus even if he is cursed by death.

FP Galactus plus tech is beyond their ass, even Eternity will tell them go home or get embarrass. Galactus alone farts on them and they die.

This isn't FP Galactus the Darkone. >.<

He only just ate one mere planet. He hasn't absorbed the universe, which is what FP Galactus has been alluded to as being.

The OP used the one planet feeding probably to dismiss the idea of weakened or 1% Galactus that gets hurt by Mjolnir godblast. But one planet does not a FP Galactus make...
