I dont,t knpw why I put so much Droid threats but I,m trying to show that the droids are better to my friend who like the republic.

But yes, I would prefer to take over the galaxy with an army of droids, as opposed to an army of clones. They are cheaper, faster to build and can you keep upgrading them to become bigger and better eg IG-100 MagnaGuards.

I wouldn't touch the CIS. I even hate writing the term.

On the contrary. The CIS was an organisation of powerful systems, who were all to aware of the corrupt Republic and wanted a safe and secure future for their respective companies. They were financially stable and had created a military terror large enough to topple the crumbling Republic. Had Palpatine not played both sides of the war for his own personal gain, the CIS would have overthrown the weak and corrupt Republic and become the new leading political organisation.

the republic wouldn't have been weak if it wasn't for Palpatine. Cause all those systems wouldn't have joined the CIS if he hadn't been corrupting the system. If it was just droids against a living army, they'd be annihilated. Droids cant compete with real soldiers thinking and reacting to situations. Had it not been from the nearly bottomless financial resources, they wouldn't be able to upgrade the droids and would have suffered a huge devastating loss after the battle of Naboo. I'd def roll with the republic/empire of the cheesy ass CIS. "The techno union army whaaaa oh hhheeeaawww...is at your disposal, count." DUMB...reminded me of the old movie The Black Hole.

But the point is the Republic was weak. Palpatine had corrupted it to the point where systems wanted to join the CIS. Now if Palpatine hadnt later decided to shut down the droid facilites the Republic would have been overwhelmed. They simply didnt have the numbers to compete with the Confederacy, nor the finances. The CIS had vast sums of money, nearly limitless figures, to do what they wanted with. They had mass produced armies which greatly undernumbered the clones. They were easily able to pick off weak systems and convince them to join the CIS. The Republic had what? An ignorant jedi order who were fast losing numbers during the war. A governemet under the control of a corrupt leader. They were rapidly losing systems to the CIS. Soon there wouldnt be any systems left in the Republic to govern.

If I had hundreds of thousands of battle droids at my command and I wanted to destroy/take over the Republic, I would've straight out attacked a Coruscant that had no real military protecting it and was the heart of the Republic. Of course I'm not answering the question, but who cares.

Coruscant had an immense militart presence, not at the beginning of the war, but both the 501st and the Shocktroopers were stationed there.

Not to mention, Star Wars is about mobile armies. You can't station a full military on every planet. The GAR would have come in anyway and blasted your metal ass.

I meant attack Coruscant before the Battle of Geonosis. ermm

The only way the CIS could have gained political credibility was if they were attacked first. They can then claim that the Republic no longer represents their intrests and is corrupted. This is of course ironic as the CIS is the most corrupt organization in the galazy.

If the CIS attacked first, they'd just be correctly branded a terrorist organization and no one would support them. They still would have had original core systems, but they wouldn't have had the mass-appeal.

They did attack first in a way, on Naboo. Even though that was only the Trade Federation at the time... as far as we know.

I've always thought of Naboo as a testing ground for Palpatines' plans for the Republic. Its a concept that I've incorporated better in you know what

I kind've liked the whole socialist/communist idea behind the Confederacy, how it was controlled primarily by commerce barons and the "elitists" of the galaxy.

Though, I prefer the clones only because of the whole Stormtrooper thing - but I think the droids could've been just as effective, maybe.

Any who, the Confederacy of Independent Systems wouldn't have done as well as the Galactic Empire. Droids need parts (metals and stuff) to build them taking away parts to use for stronger ships. You would need to create millions among millions (maybe billions) of battle droids to keep order in a single planet and that would take away material needed to build fighters, cruisers, tanks, and other stuff.

The use of clones was a better choice over all.
