Jean Grey was trying to help Banner by getting rid of Hulk personality. Unfortunately, something screwed up, and instead Banner is wiped out from Hulk. This is mindless savage Hulk (remember Onslaught) and he's mad as hell and has already destroyed half of NYC. Thor finally arrives on scene, can he stop this raging green monster?

Karate chop for the win.

He can stop him, if he plays it smart and uses Mjolnir like the powerful weapon should be used.

In any other scenario, Thor bites the dust.

Then finally the 1 thing the Son Of ODIN didnt think of strikes his mind as he speak - the son of ODIN's hammer will kill you.

For myself, I often see comic feats as inconsistent, so I try to go by what I know about each character from profiles/handbooks/"all about" websites, etc, in addition to an "average" based on the comic feats.

Seems to me, Thor with Mjolner is generally as versatile as the Surfer. This means he has all kinds of energy powers, including being able to absorb the gamma radiation out of Hulk, the way Surfer can.

Hulk is no challenge for such a being. Hulk rules when it comes down to brute force and staying power.

Again, comics are inconsistent. So what you say may be true for Thor, but not for Surfer, and I, personally, tend to see them as equals (though here, Marvel Continuity sees Thor > Surfer).
