I'm reading reviews about it and it looks like it's going to be great! It's scheduled for release in Eureope in March, meaning probably by January it'll be in the united states. (Maybe not, I don't know.) All I know is i'm going to have to get another part-time job (as my first one is done for the year in two more months) to get an X-Box 360 soley for Fable 2!

Here are some of the things we can expect in the game;

Fable 2 takes place roughly 500 years after the original story with firearms.
(Steampunk!)

The "Good or Evil" element will be much more prevalent in Fable 2.
(That's always fun alignment systems.)

The Hero starts as a street urchin.
(Already halfway to creating Green Arrow in Fable!)

The player will be able to choose his or her character's gender.
(I didn't mind, but this does help appeal to girl gamers.)

It is now possible to have children, whether you are playing as a female or a male.
(w00t! Little Speedies!)

The designer wants to reproduce a theme of unconditional love in your children.
(I don't know what it means but it sounds cool!)

The player may now choose from protected sex to unprotected sex.
(Haha pwn3d if you get a kid anyway!)

The player can plant an acorn into the ground and watch it grow into an oak tree.
(That's just an "awww" moment.)

The player can affect the future of a camp by choosing to finance it or slay everyone inside.
(Yay!)

The Hero's child is affected by the Hero's actions. This means that if the Hero is evil, his child will be too.
(Speedy x2!)

Other images from X06 also hint heavily at pirates making an appearance and indicate that the "whores" of Albion, as named in the image, will also reappear in Fable 2.
(Pirates, ninja, and I get to kill whores. Could this game get any better?!)

The game will have a multiplayer portion.
(A game just aint a game without multiplayer.)

You will now be able to take jobs as such as barman, a farmer, or even a prostitute.
(And I'll kill all who choose the latter yay!)

The Hero will be able to have a companion, most likely a dog.
(This reminds me of nethack.)

There will be an online element with a team mechanic.
(w00t! Team Red States vs Team Blue States!)

If you die, you can not return so you have to restart/load the game.
(Sounds even more like nethack. Which is an excellent game in itself.)

So, it looks pretty good. More of a modern interpretation. I like.

I seriously doubt it will be out by March, I wouldnt be suprised to see it drop back to '08.

You know Molyneux, he's a great designer but he talks too much imo. He promises alot but can hardly deliver on some fronts.

Dude, Fable 2 sounds like it will be the greatest game of all time. Let's hope that the actual story is good.

i found fable 1 quite enjoyable, but its games like this, oblivion that i always want much much more from because they give you a lot of good elements but not enough of them

Most RPGs are at least 20 hours game time to do the main quest. Fable takes about 10 hours to finish the main quest and do a couple things on the side as well. If you're going to play Fable 2, then you may as well play the first to get familiar with it, but it was an overhyped game.

I played the original when it was first released. It was fun.

Oh man! But once you play Elder Scrolls: Oblivion...you just hope Fable 2 doesn't run on hype or else is going to bomb. Fable 2 better bring BIG GUNS for the sequel.

Wow, this game looks great. I saw a little teaser type thing a while ago, and the graphics look awesome but after that I didn't look much into it.

The first game I enjoyed, and kept repeating play for a while but it got kind of tiresome and very very repetitive, so I hope Fable 2 has a little more content and stuff like that, which I'm sure it will. I don't know if I like the gun idea so much but hey, I can't knock it until I've tried it.

I still have to get the XBOX360 so I guess I'll be waiting for a while....

I absolutely LOVED the first one, I fairly recently beat Lost Chapters and can only expect Fable 2 to have even more stuff. One thing I would like to say is that they had better have a good villain, Jack of Blades was badass and if this one sucks I'll be mad!

Lost Chapters was just adding a couple new things to an already-short game. It took me about 15 hours, and was relatively easy. It was also annoyingly linear, despite the side quests...and when that's the case, the story has to be A+ material to make up for it. It wasn't.

I doubt I'll buy this game. It might be cool, but a lot of it sounds like gimmicks. "Have a kid! And a dog!" ....cool, but those things don't make a game (and hell, I modded Oblivion so that I could have a pet...my panther would likely whup the sh*t out of anything Fable will muster).

I just downloaded and watched the trailer off of market place. It looks great, I'll definitely be getting it. I think there need to be more of these type of games released for the 360, don't get me wrong - I love a first person shooter as much as the next man, but do we really need so many?

I've always loved the first Fable(I've beaten it 15 times ftw), and the second looks even better.

I liked fable alot. Infact, i just bought it from xbox live again. Is the game you buy on xbox live have lost chapters included?

I hope the sequel offers more customization and a deeper upgrade system. I'm also curious to see if the music and art design is just as good. The original fable was a beautiful game. I liked how each area had it's own theme and music.

I also liked the lore of the game. I spent alot of time just talking to the Oracle to learn about Albion lol. I hope something similar will be in Fable 2.

I hope Jack Of Blades is mentioned.

Anyone download the pub games on XBL?

I loved the 1st one and can not wait for this one. I have heard some about it and it sounds great.
I have heard about co-op mode which sounds awesome and you can get guns this time through. Also there is the spin off arcade game on xbla called Fable 2 Pub Games, which looks cool if you like casino type games.

Fable 2 is going to pwn RPGs

I've been playing that stupid pub games so i will have tons of money to give my character in Fable 2. I've also received a crap load of special items. Fable 2 better not disappoint or i will have wasted my time on this dumbass pubgames.

You sure the money transfers to the game`?

The pub games seem a bit dumb, you'll earn a heap of money before even starting the game, you could basically buy the best armor and weapons from the get go

I don't know if it will cheapen my fable 2 experience, but I had all of the best armor very early on in the first Fable. I NEVER used money after the first few hours. Considering the game was only a few hours long, i suppose the money was important, but i never worried about money in Fable. Much like Oblivion, once i had money, it was pointless because i already acquired better items on my travels than i could purchase in stores.

Exactly Oblivion sucked when it came to that, and many games have been shortsighted in similar areas. All armors, and weapons should be able to be purchased in stores except for unique ones.

Can't wait for this. Unfortunately I don't think I'll have enough money for this and gears...Choices....

On the topic of Oblivion, the best items are ones you make yourselves.

I am looking forward to this! It appears that all the promises they made about the first game are going to be presented finally in the second game. I don't like the idea of the dog, I hate dogs, but I couldn't get rid of it because I can't be cruel to things even in a video game...

I have never seen such a difference between IGN US and IGN UK scores before. The UK score came out first and got me all excited, then US gave it a much lower score. ermm

I like it so far but i'm only a little bit into it. the combat is good and i like the dog, the bread crumb trial is very nice.

Now to experiment and see about the morphing

Wow really? I was under the impression that it just took everything you had and let another person join. That's kind of gay. Probably won't buy it if everything is premade like that.

thats what people have said. I'll try for my self later on, but i know that how the offline co-op is

Fable 1 wasn't really what I would call "hard" either and I loved it...

i know but im for realtheres not even an armor stat or rating you get know defensive equipment at all

I just played it for 7 hours straight crazy

The lack of armor sucks, but since you can't die, there doesn't seem a point to having any srug

All you need to do is just sit in a town for an hour and slaughter everyone over and over until you have enough xp to max your skills, then just go tank the story srug

I was a big fan of the first game but wow, Fable 2 is like an Rpg for people who dont like rpg's. The game is so easy Thousands of dollars can be made easily, the combat system is so streamlined there is no depth whatsoever. If Fable 1 was RPG-lite Fable 2 is RPG for dummies It's a hack and slash game that has no threat level what so ever. The spells are not nearly as satisfying as they were in the first game, nor is the combo system because for some reason, they removed the combat multiplier. The combat mulitplier is what gave Fable 1 more milage. I am about six hours into the game and i feel as though i have already depleted this games resources. The story and Atmosphere is great That is probably what will inspire me to continue playing but even the graphics are subpar and why does everyone have the same fuking voice in throughout the game? Also, the interface is severely cumbersome This game is inferior to the first Fable.

Its a good game. allthough i expected better though

Hopefully the Co-op will improve the game exponentially.

well you dont get to use your charcter model in co op or your equipment just yours stats and a premade model

yeah, thats stupid but it's understandable considering that everyone plays the same character. The biggest problem with the online play is that there is nothing to do in the game. The quests and enemies are effortless, so, all you will be doing is running around the world of Albion with a friend, admiring the scenery

Well at least it's good to know that I won't have to do any family crap. Anyways, I'm gonna buy this game somewhere on the weekend and I'll be playin as a bad guy first.

Its as much an RPG as Zelda: OoT was. You get to a certain part where all you've been doing is smacking the same button, opened the same chest and found a secret key, and all you need to do is wear a green hat and shirt and call yourself Link....

I think they've taken out half the RPG elements too, the leveling up stuff. You get literally 3 melee things to upgrade, 3 skill things to upgrade, and just your mana spells to upgrade.

The spell upgrade sucks ass too. Basically, you tap the button to perform a level 1 spell, you hold the button down longer to charge it to level 2 spell, and so on. Except you cant use all your maxed spells at the same time. So you cant bust out a level 5 lightning stun, then smack a level 5 fireball to kill everyone. You can only slot 1 spell per upgrade level. What this means, is that you can have either level 4 fireball and level 5 lightning, or level 4 lightning and level 5 fireball, or level 4 & 5 same spell.


It looks like this:

Level 5 - Force Push
Level 4 - Vortex
Level 3 - Fireball
Level 2 - Chaos
Level 1 - Lightning


So to put this into action, it makes it EXTREMELY difficult to put spells into combos, as you have to time your holding until you have charged to the correct spell. Lets say you zap your foes then fireball them. You need to hold the button until it reaches lightning, let go to do lightning, then hold it down again and wait longer to charge to fireball. Theres no spell mapping to the D Pad. I cant even seem to map emotes to the D Pad. Dont know what the **** they were thinking there.


Also, there are now 2 different moral sliders, one is good/evil, the other is corrupt/pure. Im all the way evil, and I look nowhere as badass as I did in Fable 1, so Im not sure how corrupt/pure factors into appearance.

Hmm, sounds a bit of a let down, really.

Apparently eating meat goes towards you impure side, well done Lionhead thrust you're own opinions down the players throat, never try to control the player when you advertise choice.

What I found annoying to me, was that in the tech videos they were saying you could slaughter a town and buy up all the properties, but NPCs gradually respawn and town guards attack you non stop so you dont get a chance. Also, smashed a door to break into a house, killed the owner, bought the house......now I cant seem to fix the door

I know, I just figured they'd have some sort of Repair option on the lease. You change swap furniture and stuff but cant fix windows or doors. Married another chick and got them to both have a fight, that was funny. Theres some funny stuff in there, like if you fail a dance, you land on your nuts or something.

Yeah if you dont take the game too seriously its not bad, theres just some awkward gameplay mechanics that ruin it.

Just buy it expecting Fable 1 but slightly less good.

Cant really say that yet since I havent finished the game, but you get my drift..

Is this game worth $64.19? As far as the fun factor is concerned do you think it has replay value? Sorry for the questions I'm just on the fence on this one.

This game is alright the ending blew and there better be some sweet downloadabke content later on like a lost chapters thing. i'm pretty sure there will be because of the ending.

there isn't too much to do there is a sweet money cheat that i did today in my new game as a good but corrupt dude and it ws worth it because i got 1.6 million and i own all of bloodstone bowerston and oakfield.

also the temple of light weapon blows it isnt worth it im just about to get the temple of shadows weapon and ill let you know if its good

yea temple of light weapon is good if you get it really early like i did

That weapon is useless. I got a hammer that dealt 75 damage and an axe that dealt 66 within the first two hours of play. I found the holy bonus to be trivial and almost useless.

thats why isaid it has to be really early. Also the quest still remains after i get it. is there a second prize?

yeah, but two hours of gameplay is early. According to gamewinners, the benefactor title and the axe are the only two things you acquire from the shrine
