geez i realized i made the first one way too big, but this second one i keep making smaller and it nvr seems to be small enough :/ to use as a sig

That first one looks too big for KMC.

But not bad for a first effort. They could use borders, and some blending between the render and background. And subtlety is always a plus with text (i.e. make it inconspicuous).

But lots better than most peoples' first couple sigs, so good job and all.

okay for your first sigs ,what program do you use

just cs2 free trial :/ which this is my last day, :/ my comps been on the fritz so i havnt been able to use it much :/

i had gimp for a while but idk why but the program got all fuxd up :/, had to remove it so i wont be making really many more sigs for a while lol, or working on better

Keep trying getting alot better. Dont be scared to fiddle around with alot of things on photoshop.

your stuff is not bad at all. Your last one shows improvement. Just some advice, on your 2nd one the text is hard to read against that background. Just try and be aware of those things when making sigs. I find text 'style' and placement can be one of the most difficult tasks in pulling off a great sig. I have had trouble with that in the past before too.

I like to use 'dropshadow' or 'outerglow' to try and make the text stand out. Of course there are other ways, but those are the two I prefer.

For your text problems, Write the text somehwere, duplicate that, motion blur it and put it at 0 degrees and i dunno how many pixels, whatever seems good too you, then you duplicate your actual text again (not motion blur) and put a gaussian blur on that 2.0 i would say and bring it to the front, then duplicate the original text again and go to filter - sharpen - sharpen and bring that to front, the most important thing here is the Motion Blur because it sets up people for your text and it doesn't just come out of nowhere, also when your making sigs try to make a corner or a side a bit empty where you can put your text to make it more visible, instead of having effects or brushes running through it, That is what I would do lol.

latest request didnt exactly like the text placement, and even with sharpening, i believe the render was a bit blurry

Danke boobsmagee. Fricken' sweet btw. yeah, the render is pretty desaturated, so maybe saturating it would do the trick. But it's awesome anyway, thanks for taking the time to make it

I wouldn't You have cs8 which is tones better, believe me I have bothe cs8 and gimp, I only use gimp for touch ups on my sigs, nothing more

i had a bit of trouble on theh lighting, and the edge of the robot/knight thingy's, chest, and arm connection seems to bother me alot idk why

i tried to get it to go at an angle downwards, but no matter how many times i brushed with white it wouldnt seem to appear idk why

thnx juggernaut , and trademark when u download, and after u extract all files, then copy all files that were extracted (brushes), for the location to send them too go to my computer c drive, my programs or something like that, gimp 2, share, gimp, 2.0, brushes........for fonts after u downloaded it and extracted it, copy the contents (text) and send file to my computer, local c, windows, fonts kk thats shuld be all you need to know

Woah. Your light source is blobish. Try lowering opacity and moving it mostly off the sig.

k lol, i was just attem;ting something i saw ona tut thought i might be able to wrok it in, i dont htink its too bad on my most recent if i could lower the opacity a bit, if ya look close its as though its coming from behind o.o

The light soruce was a good idea but try and make it elliptical/oval shaped that way you only get a slight amount of light

Well i kinda mean if the brush is a circle only use half of the brush as that way it makes a better light source.

it was a gradient map, but how would i only use half the brush?

either lighten the transparency or erase the edges more.
