This may be one of the worst shows ever made.
The sad part is that it had the potential to be good. They had.....
-Pretty good looking creature designs.
-Not too bad choreography.
-Good music.
-Pretty reasonable design budget.
This is where they went wrong(show wise).
-Horrible looking heros.
-Poor special effects.
-REALLY bad acting.
-Puss for a mentor(literally).
-Cheesy bad guys.
-Awful script.
-Took too much stolen from the Power Rangers and Ultraman.
-A bit slow in the action scenes.
If they wanted to make it good, here's what I would do.
-Make the hero costumes first. That way, they don't look horrible all of the time and you have a better budget to work with. I would make them all the same colors as what they have on the show, but give them armor pads, helmets like Ultraman a bit, but have its own originality. The hero the form together would be bigger than the others, but he wouldn't be silver like aluminum. He would have the colors of all of the heros, so e looks like an awesome compolation of characters.
-If you can't change the special effects, then try not to use them so much. This way, you can focus more on hand to hand stuff, which is cooler anyways.
-Actually take the time to find good actors that give it a new feeling.
-Honestly, do they NEED a mentor? Too many puns, and once again, total ripoff. Just say that they learn the stuff by themselves and such.
-A reason why Zedd(early) and Kilokahn are loved is because of the fact that they were in the limits of being ok for TV, but went as far as they good. People love to see a vicious villain. That's what they should have done. Make him have ssense as well. Oh, and ditch the bird. Squiggy is not a good sidekick, especially as a chicken.
-Hire people that actually have ideas and really take interest in making something fun and original.
-Like I said before, just give your own originality to it. We've seen the same thing over and over way too many times.
-Obviously the choreography had hope, so they just needed to practice speeding it up and try some new stuff.
