As promised from my earlier fight in my "Anubis vs. everybody" series, here is Anubis vs. Safer Sephiroth. Anubis gets all subweapons and Aumaan Anubis if needed. Safer Sephiroth gets all abilities including Supernova and Meteor. I should mention Supernova does not destroy the universe, it is however a very powerful magic attack.

Let's get it on.

Bleh, if Cloud's team can beat Safer, Anubis shouldn't have a problem with this one.

Two words; Zero Shift!

TricksterPriest

kamikz

You must be joking. Will someone who has ACTUALLY PLAYED Zone of the Enders: 2nd runner please speak up? I'm reasonably sure ESB was making a joke. stick out tongue

Oh ok! Coo'

Safer Sephiroth's invulnerable once he casts Wall, and he would cast Doom on his opponent and then it's only a matter of time until his opponent dies, but that's merely speculation in this case. I have no knowledge on Anubis to tell you the truth.

Safer Sephiroth is actually Jenova taking the form of Sephiroth but looks different. He undergoes several transformations and this is basically the most powerful of his forms. He has a list of attacks that he can use. They are listed here halfway through the page.

IceJaw
Doesn't Wall just LOWER the damage of physical and magical attacks? And Doom would be useless since Orbital frames do not have souls and are not living creatures.

And Anubis is just gonna stay in the same spot and wait for that to happen?

EDIT: Orbital frames have shields that can block almost any projectile and doesn't require the user to block since it's up at all times.

Actually, that's not quite true. It's Aumaan Anubis that has the auto shields. But Anubis's durability is pretty high on it's own. Unfortunately, it's hard to find good pictures of Aumaan Anubis, but here's a pic of Anubis. http://www.dropbike.com/uploads/images/Mejo/431A924_Anubis2.gif

Explanation of Zero shift: "One of metatron's most impressive qualities is to create a corridor of compressed space between a vehicle and a destination, reducing the distance between the two points to zero and thus making travel between them almost instant. This is known as a zero shift, but only very few metatron machines have been able to successfully use this feature, and even then it functions only on a relatively small distance and requires a clear line of sight between the origin and the destination." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metatron_Ore

I noticed Anubis was not a lifeform of any sort, so Doom would not work on him. Now I think this fight would be harder for Safer Sephiroth than it would be for Anubis.

Hmm, that's right, one of the most frustrating bosses in history disgust

The damage Jehuty handicap is very challenging. But my problem is, there's no way to win if the AI doesn't let you. You can't shield anything so he can just dash attack and burst shot you to death. The AI on Anubis was incredibly stupid in that battle. Aumaan Anubis was like that too. try playing the whole game with Damaged Jehuty. stick out tongue quite a challenge, I assure you. Anyway, anyone taking Safer Sephiroth? Or is it pretty much set that Metatron trumps jenova and the lifestream?
