Story Line:
Not far off into the future, an underground organization, Talamasca, which records and watches the paranormal activity in the world, decides to take out the most dangerous and difficult immortal being, Lestat, a vampire with abilities compared to no one.
Jacob Gilbert the head of the Talamasca has had a life time obsession with Lestat and is determined to destroy Lestat and his companions to eliminate the most powerful group in our world.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It was a clear skied night in the city of Paris. Lestat sat on the tip of the Eiffel Tower watching the tiny lights of the cars fly along the roads of the city below. He had a tiny headphones in his ears, the lyrics and beats of his music from his short but thrilling music career pounded in his ears.
It had been months since the news of a new Talamascan leader reached him. The Talamasca had always been a threat to Lestat, ever since he came out to the world through song, he had put his kind on the map and now the new leader wanted him dead and Lestat knew it.
Darkness had finally fallen, and Aurelia was finally free to roam about Paris at her own will. The day had been long, and hiding in the shadows was all that she could do to keep herself alive... or whatever it was vampires were. She pulled on a plain overcoat, paused for just a moment to straighten out her physique, and continued out into the cool night air.
Her pale skin glowed gently in the pure moonlight as she walked down back road toward the Eiffel Tower. Aurelia hoped to find Lestat nearby, knowing he usually meandered around the area. As people passed her on the street, by curiosity the men wanted to come closer to her, but by instinct most stayed away and just gaped. A smirk played across her thin lips each time one avoided eye contact with her. It was entertaining for Aurelia to play with these pathetic, worthless mortals... but yet she wished to also have a beating heart.
Reaching the base of the Tower, she gazed up and picked out a small being at the very tip.
"Lestat..."
Her voice was barely audible to any passerby's but she knew, even as he sat high above her, he could hear her all too clearly.
TigerEyes
Lestat glanced down at the base of the tower several hundred feet below him.
He took at deep breath and stood to his feet, the idea of having to tend for the young vampires tired him. He remembered trying to teach Louis and Jessi and them abandoning him after they grew tired. Yet Aurelia was different, she left before he could teach her so she was forced to come back.
He jumped from the tip and gracefully fell to the ground beside Aurelia.
" Come dearest, we mustn't stay here." He walked off toward the street leaving Aurelia behind to catch up.
SundaysTheory
Aurelia could feel Lestat's slight tension as he landed silently next to her, and she wondered what could possibly be bothering him. His appearance always seemed to catch her off guard, no matter how often she saw him. But Lestat moved quickly and swiftly, leaving her staring after him. Aurelia pulled herself together and hurried after him. His words had struck a cord though. She was finally able to walk freely in the darkness, and now he wanted to go somewhere else? Hopefully not back indoors.
"But why? The night is young! Why can't we stay? "
Her heart, her mental heart, wished for adventure. More restrictions would probably send her over the edge. Mortals looked so free, so careless. Aurelia quickly cut off her train of thought, realizing Lestat could possibly be tuning in. She turned and her eyes connected with Lestat's as she waited for his answer.
TigerEyes
He gave her a piercing stare then answered in a cold voice.
" I'm feeling hungry. I need to find something before We go mingle with the mortal beings."
He turned at the final word and keep walking. He didn't have to walk far before he found a young women alone in the park around the Eiffel Tower, He sped up leaving Aurelia behind. He crept up on his prey and grabbed her by the throat, stabbing his teeth into her veins, the blood pouring into his mouth. When he had finished he let the women's limp body fall on the park bench.
SundaysTheory
For a split second, Aurelia forgot her place as a 'young' vampire. She knew she was weaker than the others, but that was no reason for Lestat to treat her as a mere child. Her eyes narrowed, and a quiet growl could be heard under her breath. How long would he continue to treat her like this? It would be a long forever if he continued to keep this up.
But she was brought back to reality as she witnessed Lestat's hunt. It was vicious and merciless, just like his personality. Aurelia looked from the now dead woman on the bench then back to Lestat. And then it hit her, like a brick wall collapsing on top of her. The luscious scent of human blood. It was utterly mouthwatering, and her throat began to burn. She couldn't remember the last time she had been hunting, which probably wasn't good for someone new like herself. She could turn savage and ruin the secrecy of all vampires. But if she didn't get blood quickly, that was certainly quite possible.
TigerEyes
Lestat licked the last of the blood off his lips and smirked at Aurelia.
" you look unwell child, do you need to feed as well?"
He knew her weakest was her hunting. She withheld from eating for so long until she couldn't bare it and then attacked. Lestat on the other hand killed several times a night, most of them just for fun. He didn't habor mortal emotions much anymore and nor did he care for the ones he did. The only vampire who ever knew Lestat's secrets of mortal emotions was Jessi, who had come across Lestat's journal.
SundaysTheory
'Child...' The word rang through her ears. The only thing that could possibly subside her bloodlust, for atleast a few minutes, was his lack of confidence in her ability to hunt. It was frustrating as he smiled teasingly at her. He knew how weak she was. She knew how strong he was. And if it wasn't for her split second reasoning, Aurelia would've probably attacked Lestat, no matter how useless it would've been.
She restrained herself though, and knowing she would have to eventually prove herself to be worthy, Aurelia stalked off in the other direction. The hunt was on, and she quickly caught a scent that pleased her, which was pretty much anything by now. It led her to a decent looking middle aged man walking on the sidewalk of the main road. It was sparsely populated, but no other mortal could stop her even if they tried. Aurelia slowly approached him, using every ounce of control left in her. He was immediately drawn to her beauty, something she had always used to her own advantage.
"Hey."
He spoke to her, sounding casual, yet there was an undertone of fear he probably wasn't aware of. She quickly silenced him by pulling her lips to his. The kiss, lasted for a few moments, his hand running through her hair and down her back. But it was shortlived. If she couldn't be human, neither would this man, and she brought her lips down to the base of his neck. Razor sharp teeth sunk through flesh so easily, and Aurelia drank deeply, draining the human of all life.
TigerEyes
Lestat watched her from the roof of a brick building along the road. He had always been proud of her ability to draw in her prey and kill. One thing he had fought with for years. He didn't show it, but Aurelia was beautiful to him, she had skills it took him years to develop and had no sense of others he had since his transformation.
He dropped down to the street and glanced her way, saying her name as he looked.
" Aurelia, come now we have business to attend to."
He started to push his way through the many drunks and whores who lined the sidewalk.The smell of urine and alcohol filled his nose.
" Foul creatures."
TigerEyes
Lestat picked up on Jessi immediatly. She was his favorite creation, the one who had provoked him, and pleased him the most. She was pure and divine to him, unlike any other vampire he knew. She knew things about him others did not, and he held her close to himself.
" Aurelia, we have company. Jessi has decided to join us on this clear evening. Haven't you Jessi?"
He spoke to her as if she was standing next to him ven though she stood quite far back. He knew she could hear him.
SundaysTheory
Aurelia dropped the corpse of the man onto the sidewalk as Lestat appeared before her. He of course took little knowledge of her, just barely glancing her way, but the way he said her name told her much more than she ever wanted to know. It was a rarity if he addressed her by name, so she knew something must've been triggered in his mind. Aurelia followed him quickly, curious of what this 'business' really was about. True, she had heard rumors, but they were vague and she was unsure of what to really believe.
Her nose wrinkled at the stench of the crowd of mortals. The drunken men hollered and cat called as she passed, some even trying to reach out and grab her. Each one was so innocent, so unsuspecting, and so utterly useless. Little did they know, their lives could be put to an end sooner than they thought. And yet she still wished, deep down, that her heart could still pump blood through her empty veins. But that didn't matter now, nor would it ever matter. She was a vampire, and would stay that way for the rest of eternity. There was no turning back.
Lestat spoke her name again, yet it held less meaning than before. He said that Jessi, the only other female vampire she had ever come in contact with, was near. In Aurelia's perspective, Jessi was kind, sweet, and understanding, the complete opposite of all those she knew. But Jessi irritated her, they seemed to start off on bad terms and things were never settled. Aurelia, stubborn, naive, and young, saw Jessi as nothing more than an annoyance that wouldn't keep away. As Lestat acknowledged Jessi's presence, Aurelia narrowed her eyes once more and her muscles slightly tensed as an instinctive reaction to the approaching vampire.
Kuchiki
"You know I can keep away for long." she smiled approaching them. "Aurelia, long time, no see." she said.
After a moment of silence,
"Have you found out more about the Talamasca? Or should we discuss this elsewhere?" She stared at Aurelia. It had been a long time since she'd seen her, and even though her appearance didn't change much, something was different about her.
TigerEyes
Lestat took Jessi's Hand and started to guild her down the street.
" We mustn't dicuss all this here. Too many spies are lingering around the streets these days. Come down let us retire to my house and discuss the matter at hand."
He walked on almost completely ignoring Aurelia, until he reach the street corner and was about to turn onto another bright lite city street.
" Don't fall too far behind Child." He adressed at Aurelia.
SundaysTheory
As Jessi appeared and stood next to Lestat, Aurelia could barely contain her hatred and returned Jessi's stare with a menacing glare. Yet she couldn't help fell like the lesser being. Indeed she was younger, in both mortal and immortal years. She was weaker, and had less control over her emotions. Yet she knew that the rebellion that started to boil within her would do no good, Aurelia was young but not stupid. To take on one let alone two more experienced than her would be nothing more than completely rash.
She decided to keep silent though, and listened intently instead. They had mentioned something about Talamasca, and she knew that she had heard that before. But just as her hopes for some excitement started to rise they were stomped to pieces at the mention of going back indoors. Aurelia scowled figuring she really had no other smart choice but to follow the two down the street. That is if they wanted her to follow, which Lestat had a odd way of showing it. Aurelia shook her head, grimacing and rolling her eyes, as he called back to her. She picked up her pace, catching up, but stayed a few feet behind.
TigerEyes
Lestat could always sense Aurelia feelings as well as ever other vampire he had ever created, he made them, tiny bits of his blood had run through their veins which connected him to them. He could find them in a crowd, sense the presence, even feel what they did. He admitted to himself it wasn't a responsibility he had ever wanted yet he never wanted to face immortality alone either.
Lestat never said much about his feelings and he tried to never show either. He knew he was harsh with Aurelia but he was trying to prove a point to her, she had abandoned him after he had chosen her to be with him as a companion and now she was going to face the consequences.
He guided Jessi to the front steps of a small Paris apartment not far from the Eiffel tower, right in Lestat's favorite part of his native country, right where his house would have been hundreds of years before. He placed the tiny key in the key hole and pushed open the heavy wooden door. The building had been transformed into two loft like rooms. One taking the top two floors the other the bottom two. Lestat rented the bottom two out to backpackers and elderly people, since they often posed no threat to his safety, the top loft he lived in while in Paris.
He began the climb to the door leading into his home, the staircase was narrow and long. He reached the top swiftly and opened the door, holding it open for Jessi and letting it close not waiting for Aurelia.
SundaysTheory
It was simply aggravating to know that you weren't completely accepted by your creator. The more Lestat pushed her away, though, the more she wanted to be near him. It was an odd mix of feelings that confused her, making her question herself, her existence. If he didn't need her, would she just walk the earth for all eternity as this soulless being until the end finally came? She didn't choose this life, and that was what annoyed her the most. Why should she have to suffer when Lestat and Jessi and all of the others seemed so content with themselves?
Aurelia stepped slowly up the stairs, and opened the door as if she were just letting herself in. It was either that or she waited for his permission, which she refused to do. Lestat may have created her, but he was not her master, at least she didn't think so. Aurelia simply stood in silence, waiting for the conversation that just had to be indoors to begin.
TigerEyes
The room was was dark, a few small lamps lite certain areas of the room. Lestat took a seat on the retro velvet couch and watched Aurelia make herself at home. Neither Jessi nor Aurelia lived with him as other companions of his had.
" As Jessi mentioned the Talamasca are once again on my tail. After the last incident involving Jessi, Marius and myself, they have refused to let me. Now that Jacob, my biggest fan, thinks I suppose as a threat alone with every other vampire, there has been rumors that they were planning to rid this world of our kind."
SundaysTheory
Sitting herself down on an armrest of a thick chair near the center of the dark room, she couldn't help but to look around. The faint glow of the small lights, which would have been warm and welcoming anywhere else, were rather eerie as it could barely penetrate the darkness. Being back inside, though, only made her more miserable, during the night she should be able to roam freely. Of course Lestat wouldn't think of anyone but himself, nothing more was expected of him. But he could come and go as he pleased, it just wasn't fair. Ha, and he wonders why I left him, she thought suppressing a smirk.
Aurelia had little interest for things that had great importance to others and those she wasn't very informed about. It bored her...greatly. But then Lestat began to speak of this Talamasca again, and she became intrigued almost instantly. She had obviously missed Lestat's first encounter with this group, but the name Jacob had rung a bell. It had been mentioned to her maybe once or twice while she was being told the 'rules.' She had seen some flinch at the name, some grimaced, others simply smiled and laughed. And soon realizing why, she couldn't help this time but to smirk and slowly shake her head. Aurelia, who was maybe too cocky for her own good, thought it was ridiculous for a human to even think they could take out a vampire. But she did wonder how that could even be possible.
"So... What's that mean for us?"
TigerEyes
" It means you won't be out at night alone anymore. I want you to be accompanied by myself or Jessi from now on."
He knew those two phrase would push Aurelia to her limit. She was naive and unaware of what a conspiring group of humans could do. They held the advantage of daylight more most vampires and if they found the location of one vampire they could find the location of any vampire if they tried.
" Before you protest, you're young and don't know what to expect. Jessi and I have dealt with this group before. My word is final and if you chose to disobey me, you will not be returning to me alive again."
(It's one page, I think you can manage. smile )
Words couldn't even start to describe the anger that boiled within her. Aurelia was speechless for a few seconds replaying Lestat's words, making completely sure he had said what she had heard. She disappointingly couldn't find a flaw. She soon became even more infuriated that he had even suggested her not returning alive to him again. This whole proposition was ridiculous. Completely and altogether...
"Ridiculous!" Aurelia couldn't restrain herself any longer. "First you take away my ability to even go out during the day, then you expect me to ask for permission to go out now?! What, you don't think I'm strong enough? Not good enough? What the hell am I going to do now?! Pace the hallway or something? And what about hunting?... I don't believe this. You of all people, afraid of humans! Who knew!"
Staring hard at Lestat, she crossed her arms and fumed, unwilling to stay... unwilling to leave.
(okay lestat and Aurelia met up with Jessi and are now discussing the Talmasca in Lestat's house.)
Lestat merely smiled at Aurelia.
"You believe I am afraid of humans...the only vampire who ever surfaced to the human world. I spilled our ancient secrets through song, I walked among the living and I fought off humans for hundreds of years. You child are extremely mistaken. I do not fear humans, I do not envy them nor do I care what happens to them. And further more I never took away your ability to walk in day, I never gave it to you. You are young and naive, and know nothing what so ever."
He stood at the final remark and walked to the far side of the loft to the kitchen, leaving Aurelia and Jessi alone in living area.
"You really shouldn't speak out of line like that." Jessi said sighing. She brought up her hand to wipe the hair that fell in her face. She stared at Aurelia.
"You know nothing about Lestat.....nothing about your creator" she stared at her; not a glare, just staring.
"You are too young to be judging Lestat. Like he said, we've both delt with this group before, and unlike you, we knew what they're capable of doing." She smiled. She knew what she was saying would cause a fight between the two of them. Yet, she still smiled.
(No worries, Kuchiki.)
Aurelia kept her arms firmly crossed, yet made no eye contact with Lestat. Her jaw was held tightly as she tried to keep hold of her fury. She had though, obviously struck some sort of chord in him as he continued on and on about his accomplishments, almost as if he had to prove something not just to her, but to himself. She nearly lost herself again as he told her she knew nothing. Of course she knew nothing! How would she if her only source of information was useless.
Then Jessi spoke. Aurelia was already on the edge of another outbreak, not thrilled about being in the same room as Jessi, and then she has the nerve to patronize her? Jessi has practically asking for Aurelia to completely flip. Once again she was told she knew nothing, as if she didn't quite comprehend the first time. As Jessi finished speaking, Aurelia glowered icily at her, but Jessi still smiled, a warm and kind smile. A smile Aurelia wished she wanted to crush.
"I know nothing? Nothing about him, nothing about these humans.... And I wonder why that is." Aurelia stood up and walked closer to Jessi. "I wonder. How could I possibly not know, hmmm? Couldn't have possibly been my lack of questions could it? Couldn't have possibly been my lack of answers?" She lost control again, slamming her fists down onto a table, but by now she had worn herself out, her energy low from the scarcity of blood. Collapsing onto another chair, she buried her face in her hands, frustrated and confused from the recent events.
TigerEyes
Lestat leaned against the kitchen counter. He was furious wiht Aurelia. She was so lost in her thought of what she thought was right, she may have been a strong human but as a vampire she lacked the restraint needed to survive.
Lestat heard the familiar voices of two men. He opened the kitchen door and looked over near the door. There standing was Marius and Armand. He left his post in the kitchen and went to greet the pair.
" Marious it's so nice for you to have left your world to join mine again. And Armand taking a break from the theater fantastique. You remember Jessi don't you."
He completely ignored Aurelia.
Thunder Fox
Marius nodded calmly and looked at Jessi "hmmmmmm yes i do" he said calmly and looked at Aureila who was being ignored but said nothing of it "hmmmm nice seeing you too patient as ever i see" he said calmly "i heard raised voices"
Lestat sat down on the same couch as before. " Marius you are mistaken, I was only reinstating to Aurelia the rules of vampires and she is quite stubborn and thinks a time like this is a time to disobey your creator, you remember what it's like to have your creation disobey you marius, I took the only thing you had left to hold secret, the king and queen, and as I remember your exact words were a vampires life is a lonely one, and that was the last time i saw you before Jessi here entered our picture. "
He glanced over at Aurelia and smirked " You will learn the same lesson I did child and when you do you'll be begging me to hold you close."
His attention shifted to Jessi and Armand. " as I was saying earlier, our new plan is to crate a band of vampires who will be fighting off the Talamasca, it will be dangerous but a necessity."
Thunder Fox
Marius gave small nod in response (bah doin homework i promise to keep my posts normally at decent legnths or attempt to)
Aurelia looked up from under her bangs that hung low in her eyes and stared helplessly at Jessi. She felt like she had no way out of this, unless of course she was to end up dead. Aurelia soon realized as Jessi spoke she had never really grasped why Lestat was constantly watching over her. Yet that had also been the main reason of her rebellion in the first place. She had been confused, unaware of what she really was, and most of all though she would never admit it, she had been frightened. The life that was chosen for her was, however, out of her hands and she had no choice but to follow what she was told. It wouldn't be easy, and she knew giving in would let Lestat wallow in his own satisfaction, but it didn't matter any more, he knew long ago she would be drawn to him.
She watched as Lestat entered the room with two other men. They were vaguely familiar, from her past which wasn't quite that long. Aurelia stared at Lestat as he explained to Marius why she had been 'raising her voice.' Obviously trying to test her self-restraining ability, she amazingly tuned him out for most of his little speech. Except of course for the last statement which would have sent her over the edge. But no. She would not let him have control over her like that. Aurelia held her composure, letting his words wash over her. But she wanted to know so much, and yet so little information was ever given to her. Would she be apart of this group of vampires? Would Lestat forgive her?... Not that what she had done wasn't justified. Aurelia sighed quietly as an internal fought within her then she spoke up, quietly at first, then with more power as she gained confidence back.
"And this, er... band of yours... Lestat, won't be... um, including me, now will it?"
TigerEyes
" I plan to have you learn Aurelia but I'm not saying you'll be involved in the actual fighting..."
Lestat could hear her inter thoughts flow through his head. He smiled at her.
" I'm glad you've calmed down, you may go outside now if you wish, I'll follow soon."
SundaysTheory
Of course not. No action or fun for Aurelia. She wasn't too thrilled about his answer, for she wished she could be treated as the others were. But no matter, Lestat had smiled, which in turn she allowed herself to show some emotion in her eyes. They brightened just a bit as he allowed her out, although still not sure if she liked being 'allowed' to do things.
Aurelia stood up and walked out of the room and out the front door. Her first instinct was to take off. To run. To leave and never return. But he would find her, or the humans would. She hesitated for a moment then casually walked down an alley to the main road. Mortals scattered the area, laughing, drinking, fighting. She had seen it all before. And it bored her. Continuing down the street, men started to flock around her. She didn't mind them as long as they kept their hands to themselves, as most of them instinctively did. But there was always the few that just had to reach out, to stroke her golden hair, to feel the contours of her body, to fell how soft her skin was. Whatever the reason, she didn't care, and wouldn't take that from any mortal. Aurelia felt a hand slide across her hip, she smirked and hoped to make an example of this unfortunate soul.
Spinning around, Aurelia grabbed the wrist of the human and yanked him close to her. She placed her cheek against his, letting him become completely seduced by her presence. Then Aurelia slid her lips down to his, this time the kiss was more passionate than the last one she had performed earlier. The human was under her complete control, and Aurelia knew she could now do whatever she pleased. Her lips parted from his, and continued down to the base of his neck where she lingered for a short moment, trying to decide whether she should take this elsewhere, or simply kill him in the presence of other humans.
TigerEyes
Lestat rose from his seat and addressed everyone else.
" Now that she has taken a short..." He paused and stood still. "That child"
He ran to the window pushing the window open, he hurled himself out, flying through the air, though it looked more like gliding.
He landed near Aurelia and jump down steading behind her. He pulled the boy off her and look furious at her.
" Are you stupid" He grabbed both her and the boy and dragged them off into the alley way. He twisted the frail neck of the boy easily and stood there furious at her.
" YOU NEVER KILL IN FRONT OF THEM. I'VE TOLD YOU THIS." He screamed at her. His pale skin took a very red color as the blood filled his face.
" I can't believe you'd even think about it, especially after I just told you all that." He threw the limp body to the ground and grabbed her wrist dragging her back to the street.
" You see these foul creatures, everyone of them could be a Talamasca, everyone could have known what you were about to do, and then yourself and I would have to pack up and move to Spain or London, by even thinking that you have jeopardised our safety." He let go of her wrist and stared at her.
" come now, it's nearly dawn, your staying with me tonight...now get moving"
Jacob walked threw the streets of Paris he kept his head down look around at his new surroundings, down one street he saw a complete arguing. The two individuals unknown to him were Lestat and Aurelia.
Jacob didn't seem to realize what he was doing as he stopped and stared, A young whore bumped into him,
"Hey you want a good time?" She stroked his arm attempting to seduce him.
"Get off!" He raised his voice pushing her away. Turning back to the couple arguing, "What their gone?" he said worried as he scrambled down the street looking for them.
Jessi rushed to Lestat and Aurelia. She heard the commotion, and went to see what the problem was. She was by his side in a matter of seconds.
"What happened?! I heard you yelling!" she said in a quiet but worried voice. Her eyes fell on the young vampire.
"What did you do?" she said looking around. Aurelia seemed to have noticed someone. Then it hit her. It must be the Talamasca.
The three of them were in a slightly populated street; mostly whores and drug dealers. But one stood out. A young male was looking for something, someone. Them.
"Did you not here me before? Did my words not reach you? Your going to expose us if you keep it up." she said close to Aurelia's face. Her tone was harsh and strong.
"We need to go back." she said and then was gone.
(sorry, it's short. But I haven't been using Jessi a lot, so here's my post with her. smile)
SundaysTheory
Aurelia was startled to see Jessi appear, and even more startled at her reaction to Jessi's presence. Her body seemed to react out of instinct, and she looked defensively at Jessi who automatically had accused her of doing something wrong. Aurelia grimaced when Jessi then blamed the presence of a certain human on her. It was always going to be her fault wasn't it? This couldn't have possibly been Lestat's, who had caused a scene by yelling. No, of course not. He was perfect. She was the new vampire, the one who had ran away from her creator, betraying him, and she was the one that was going to be blamed when something went wrong.
The only thing that kept her from retaliating against Jessi was Lestat's presence. If he wouldn't have been there, she would have hurled herself at Jessi, and although she would have probably lost the fight, Aurelia would have left a decent mark. Aurelia didn't think that Jessi had a right to ridicule her. Not now. Not ever. And she was more than pleased that Jessi had came and went so quickly.
TigerEyes
Lestat stood still. "We're not going back to the loft. The nearest safe house would be the theatre des Vampires. Jessi take Aurelia there, the Talamasca is unfamiliar with you both, they'll notice me faster then you. Go"
He sped off in the opposite direction of his house knowing someone was following. He ran faster then a human ever could and he swerved in and out of the crowds of people. He could see the sun slowly starting to rise.
" Get moving Aurelia and Jessi." He knew he was safe from the sun but they we're defenseless.
Kuchiki
Jessi sped back, hearing his words. She grabbed Aurelia's wrist and ran with her.
"Hurry up." she said looking back at her. She ran a little faster than normal humans would, fearing the sun. She ran in the direction of the Theatre, Lestat had brought her there many times before.
Her grip on Aurelia had loosened, and she lost her before they got there.
"Hurry," she whispered knowing that she heard her, "or you'll get left behind." Jessi wasn't about to baby Aurelia, who wanted to be treated like every other vampire.
Lestat stared to slow down the Pace of his strides. The sun slowly peaked over the horizon. He stopped running all together and looked around at his surroundings. Not alot of people were around nor were there much of anything else. Several large brick buildings surrounds the street, most looked to be offices. He started to walk along again, he could tell Jessi and Aurelia had made it in time, now his only worry was getting back to his place before The Talamasca did if they knew where it was.
Aurelia could hear the tension and fierceness in Lestat's voice. She tried to listen to what he was saying but she was pulled away too quickly. Now it was Jessi that gripped her wrist, yanking her arm to follow. Aurelia saw no other choice, and with one last look at Lestat, she allowed Jessi to take her wherever need be. Keeping up was easier than she thought, although Jessi still could run faster. Aurelia could see the sky changing from a dark blue, to a golden yellow on the horizon. She wished so badly to see the sun rise once more, but as Jessi had let go Aurelia snapped back to reality. A large building and its shadow were the only things that were saving her from immense pain. She picked up her pace, and followed Jessi into a theater.
"We should be safe in here until Lestat comes for us." she said walking away from Aurelia. It was almost pitch black in the Theatre, perfect for her kind.
"Come with me." she said turning to Aurelia. "It's not safe to be alone when the Talamasca are on our trail." she waited for her to catch up before beginning to walk again.
She climbed the spiral staircase that led to the top floor. She always liked the top floor, and would insist on going there whenever she came here. Her footsteps echoed throughout the building and the stairs creaked whenever someone steeped on them. She let her hand run against the wooden railing. It was dusty. She wiped the dust off and continued up the staircase, ignoring Aurelia. She would answer any of her questions inside the safe room.
Lestat smiled as the sky turned blue. " I don't get to see this much." he admitted the sun slightly hurt his skin but he didn't really care. He walked along the streets heading back toward the loft, trying to avoid the busy streets or the route he had come from. He came to the door of the loft and opened it once again. He could hear the elderly lady in the loft below, he smiled. "pfft no one has come."
He walked up the staircase and into the loft, locking the door behind him. Marius and Armand had left knowing dawn would be arriving soon. Lestat collapsed on the couch and stared up at the ceiling. "now what"
Aurelia glanced around the theater, even though darkness enveloped most of it. It seemed peaceful, a perfect place to hide a few vampires until night came again. She could hear the sounds of silence that pressed against her ears, and only her footsteps ripped through the eerie stillness as she followed Jessi up a flight of rickety stairs.
She wondered where Jessi was taking her, and wondered even more about Lestat. He was to be alone against a said powerful human...talk about arrogant. Aurelia sighed, unable to stop her thoughts from flowing to the negative. It was just a habit of hers, and one she would probably never break. But then she started to think what if the hunters found them here? How many humans would it take to destroy both her and Jessi? They couldn't possibly be stupid enough to try...
Upon entering a room, Aurelia stopped and turned to meet Jessi eye to eye. They remained there for a few moments, trying to see what Jessi was thinking, feeling, anything. She was usually good at seeing others emotions, but Jessi... she was so closed, it was hard to see what hid beind those eyes. Breaking the awkward silence Aurelia spoke.
"Well Jessi... What now?" Her voice held little life as she addressed the other female.
Jacob arrived at a cross, two of the three went one way, while one..one went alone "Who to choose" he thought to himself he turned to the street lestat took and began to spring after him. "He can't of got far" his wet converses slapped against the road and hit the puddles like a stone.
The sun shined on to Jacobs face "If that was who i think it was, I'm to late" he reached for his sunglasses in his jacket pocket. Turning on his heels Jacob began to walk back to where he was, Paris seemed a different world in the day, all of the Whores and scum of the night left the streets and only the innocents walked the streets.
I'll try again tonite he thought as the sun now hit the streets of Paris.
Lestat closed his eyes and slept for sometime on the couch, when he awoke it was dark again and he knew Aurelia and Jessi would be waiting for him. He quickly arose and left the loft. He walked quickly through the streets until he came to the theater, he could tell it was a vampire safe house, the smell of blood filled the air. He entered through the door and started his search for Aurelia and Jessi
(damn it. I'm sorry I'm late again, but here's the post to ST question.)
"What now?" she said with a hint of humor in her voice. "My dear, we wait for nightfall. There's nothing else too do." she sat down on a chair near the window, but still in the shade. She gently tugged on a heavy velvet curtain and it made the room dark.
"Now, you are permitted to go roam around the theatre, I've already seen it all so if you wish for me to go with you I will. If you don't, I'll be in here."
(Meh, I can make them both work.)
Aurelia rolled her eyes at Jessi's statement, she hadn't quite meant it that way but no matter. As Jessi gave her a glimmer of freedom she took it immediately, and headed right back out the door she had just walked in. She figured this was probably going to be the only freedom she was going to get in a while, so she used it wisely. Walking around this theater was actually quite time consuming, which made Aurelia rather pleased. She went down every hall, ever corridor, entering every room. She listened intently to her footsteps as they echoed around her and ran her fingers along the wall as she walked. It was so peaceful and easy to be on her own, and she took advantage of every minute.
Sometimes she sat in chairs or examined a picture or painting, but she could feel that dusk was near, and night was coming on fast as the days had grown shorter. Aurelia seated herself on the floor, letting the darkness surround her. She sighed and listened as her voice travelled through the air. A door had creaked open somewhere behind her yet she ignored it. It was probably Jessi anyway, she thought. Aurelia pulled her knees to her chest and stared into the dark abyss in front of her as her mind began to wander. Would these humans actually be able to defeat them? How long would this life.. or half-life rather, last? And would it end as the hands of a mortal?
TigerEyes
"You need not to be too concerned now with that Aurelia." The voice rang through the room, " I plan to take care of it." Lestat's white pale face was glimering in the light that came from the outside street lamp.
Aurelia spun around quickly as another voice shattered the silence. But as soon as her eyes fell upon that familiar face, she continued to sit on the ground as there was no need to get up. Staring up at his gorgeous face she couldn't help but to seem drawn to him. His comforting words soothed her scattered thoughts... his mere presence had created a certain butterfly effect in the pit of her stomach. There was still however, doubt. As she spoke, her voice was quiet and reserved when she asked him a question.
"But... how can you be so sure?"
TigerEyes
"I know things you have yet to discover. I can hear his thoughts sometimes.." He stepped toward her. He had never realised the extreme love her felt for her. Perhaps it was because she challenged him and made him have to focus his energy on something other then himself. Or perhaps the whole reason he had ever made her a vampire was because he loved her.
SundaysTheory
Aurelia stared into those perfect eyes and it felt like he could see anything and everything she had ever thought. She tried closing him out being defensive about her privacy, but it was nearly impossible when he was so close. She, however, could feels the rare waves of emotions that came from Lestat. It was odd knowing that he, too, had feelings and she felt like it wasn't her place to know. Aurelia couldn't quite decipher what exactly it was he was feeling, but she knew it was strong.
"Lestat," Aurelia rose slowly from where she was sitting. "Will you tell me, maybe, about how this works?" She realized the question was a bit vague, so she reworded it, "Will you... um, tell me why you chose me? I mean, sure I understand the whole scent thing, and I get the process... But why not just finish me off like all the others?" Aurelia then quickly stopped herself from asking why she had been condemned to eternal life figuring it wasn't very proper, not that Aurelia ever cared about manners. She hoped thought possibly, while he seemed just the slightest bit vulnerable, he would tell her since she had never heard him actually say it.
TigerEyes
Lestat was taken back by her sudden question. He stepped back from her and took a seat on the floor nearby. He closed his eyes for a few seconds and then slowly came to a response.
" I didn't chose you, not like I chose Louis or Claudia or even Jessi. Louis I needed because the world was changing to fast for me, Claudia I needed to keep Louis and Jessi it was a matter of saving her life. You, I had picked you for a victim, nothing more..." He paused heaving a heavy breath.
" I meant to kill you, but something wouldn't let me. You took the pain of my wrath so calmly and somewhere something told me to take you by my side. To this day I'm not sure if I did the right thing or not, all I know is if I had left you there to die I'd regret it."
He stopped talking there and closed his eyes again. He didn't say anything for sometime and as he sensed Aurelia growing anxious he finally spoke again, but not in his normal cold voice but a voice of concern and vulnerability.
" Does that suffice as an answer?"
SundaysTheory
Aurelia watched Lestat carefully, yet her eyes held worry and she bit her bottom lip. She wasn't sure if she really wanted to hear what he was about to say, but she had asked. Listening intently, she had figured she wasn't anything special. She wasn't needed as some where, she wasn't saved as Jessi was. She wasn't supposed to be alive. It didn't come as much as a shock as she thought it would have. It was something expected, just not something one would want to hear everyday. But he didn't kill her. She wasn't like his other worthless victims. She was different, and Aurelia wasn't sure if that made her better or worse than the others Lestat had changed.
Could she possibly mean something to him? The only moments of her human life that she could remember were only her last. The memory was vivid, she recall everything from who was around, what she was doing, wearing, going. She could remember being lured into an alley, a strange man's cool and seductive voice, a soft touch... Then a indescribable pain in her neck. She could remember staring up at the man above her, their eyes meeting, and then darkness.
A crooked smile formed as he told her he would have regretted not having her near him. She knew she would have to prove herself worthy of his saving, and although a challenge, she would find a way. Aurelia stared again at Lestat when he stopped talking, she wasn't sure if she wanted to thank him or resent him for keeping her alive. Aurelia was so confused on what she wanted. Did she want to be close to Lestat? Or did she really wish to run again? Looking up as he spoke again, she couldn't help but to succumb to his beautiful tone. It was so peaceful, not harsh or cold like usual. Times like these were rare so she took full advantage. Tossing her golden hair over her shoulder, she moved the slightest bit closer to him, and answered his question smiling timidly as she did so.
" That pretty much covers everything..."
TigerEyes
Lestat opened his eyes and watched her.
" I guess it is..." He didn't exactly know if the answer was enough for Aurelia or not.
" Aurelia...." He paused for several moments. He edged closer to the her with every second. Then at the last chance pulled away completely.
"Come we should go eat."
SundaysTheory
Aurelia nodded slightly then turned her attention away from Lestat, well at least her eyes. She was, however, very aware of him staring at her. It made her extremely self-conscious but she didn't want him to look away. She wanted him to see what he had created, to see what he has done. Maybe he wouldn't have to second guess himself every time he thought about why he changed her. Maybe he would follow what he thought before, of why he hadn't just killed her. Maybe...
He spoke her name and she looked up at him once more. If she were human her heart would beat erratically and her breathing would increase greatly. But since she had no pulse, her reaction was a simple half smile paired with innocent eyes. She wanted him to just lean in, and forget about everything she had done wrong, every time he didn't want her around, and the fact that she was just once a worthless prey he had tried to kill. She wanted to bring him close to her, to run her fingers through his hair, to taste... But it was his move, Aurelia knew it would be way out of line for her to do such a thing without him making the first move.
Lestat was so unfairly close, if she were just to close the gap... Then he pulled back. She dropped her head slightly and her smile faded. Aurelia didn't know what to think, did he or could he rather, love her? Or did she already miss her chance? It was hard to figure things out when Lestat couldn't make up his mind. Aurelia, though unable to figure out her emotions, nodded and hauled herself up to follow him outside.
TigerEyes
Lestat stood to his feet, the sound of his boots echoed in the room. He put out his hand to help Aurelia to her feet. He knew deep inside he cared for Aurelia like no other vampire. Yet he being the egocentric person he was wouldn't admit to himself he loved her.
He pulled open the door and walked out into the hallway. He could sense Jessi growing uneasy, he chose to ignore it for the time being. He quickly abandoned the theater for the city streets of Paris. He knew Jacob was searching for him and Lestat had no intention of meeting him yet, nor exposing Aurelia to that horror.
Aurelia followed as Lestat took to the streets. Night had finally fallen once more, and it seemed every time she breathed in the night air she could clear her head. Life seemed so much easier in the shadows and darkness. But now, instead of the full freedom she was usually granted, she was bound to Lestat or death would be inevitable. If she were to ever meet the humans that had restricted her freedom would surely pay. She sighed, stopping her almost uncontrollable rage from boiling too much.
"May I go hunt? Or will you deprive me of that too?"
She didn't mean to come off as a smart ass, but she couldn't help it at a time like this. Aurelia's eyes met Lestat's and she raised in eyebrow in question with a sort of smug expression. She wouldn't respect him as much as he would like her too. It annoyed him, and she knew it, but only if he would show some emotion or interest in something other than himself would she give him the admiration he wanted.
TigerEyes
Lestat broke the connection with Aurelia and spoke into the wind " You may..don't wander off to far though" He walked away from her and joined the crowds of Paris toward the Eiffel Tower. his mind was filled with so much confusion and discomfort. He knew Aurelia would never be what he wanted and the fact he had lied to her just minutes before about his reasons to give her the dark gift pained him, yet if he had told her the truth she'd rebel even more, just to see how far she could use it to her advantage. He sighed and start the ascent to the tip of the tower.
The top of the tower was his favorite place in Paris, possibly even Europe. He was able to see the whole city which reminded him of New Orleans, Paris was a home away from home, everyone spoke his native tongue and respected him. New Orleans was once the same but as the times changed so did his beloved city and now it was nothing more then an English city with a small french courter, and he detested being confined to a small area, which is why he made the move back to Paris. The last time he had been here was just after Marius left him to fend for himself.
Lestat leaned back against the cold metal, he closed his eyes and listened to the minds of the people surrounding him on the ground below. He smiled as he drifted in and out of mortals minds.
" If only they knew..." he whispered.
K Tragedy
The night was cool, the mood lonely. Words need not be a requirement for the setting. It was dismal... dark... sinful...
Within the canyon carved out by the buildings, people scurried to their own destinations. A young couple laughed as they enjoyed the dinner they had just shared together. Upon the woman's finger, a brand new wedding ring shimmered in the moonlight. Newfound lovers would be married in the summer. Within the male's head there came the new wife that would massage his back when he asked, cook him his breakfast, provide him a strong son that would surpass his piers in all sports and be a regular genius at the same time. The woman's thoughts filled with romantic nights. She thought of candlelight suppers, her lover reading her poetry, the two spending glorious nights in bed, but never did she think of children.
The lovers would find life hitting them far harder than they had planned. young, inexperienced, they would clash in their later years. Their child would grow up without a proper family. Was this what made the night so gloomy?
Deeper within an alley, a female prostitute showed herself off to potential employers. A heavy set man, balding in several places and sprouting hair in others, inspected her. He slid his hand under her tight top and felt her, then smirked. She took the money into her hands and got into his car. She wouldn't return to the streets that night. The police would find her body poisoned and withered on the floor. Her bodily fluids would coat the ground, making DNA testings impossible. The man would get away clean and the mother, forced into prostitution to care for her three-year-old son, would never again open her eyes.
Exiting the alleys, the homes inside contained violence. Inside a small, disarrayed apartment, a woman fell against the floor. Her lover stepped upon her hand, bringing his free foot up to smash against her side. She gasped, clutching her stomach and being thrown into the wall. Sliding down, her eyes filled with tears. Her drunken love would beat his girlfriend and she would abort their first baby. He would be taken to jail and the woman was doomed to dying during her birth of the dead child.
The air was fragile. It brushed along his cheek. Pale digits dragged along pale cheek. China doll skin coated his flesh. As if powdered, it remained clinging to his skin. It sunk deep into the cracks of his flesh. Should he be called albino? No. His eyes were not red as such an albinos would be. His optics were filled with hazel liquid. It filtered into his irises and beamed through the ebonite pupils. Long strands of flowing brown hair swept across his face.
How long had it been since Lestat had claimed his mortality? He had been created and dubbed a monster. The vile creature had stared down upon him. Caught within his fear, the other had fled. Though, no matter how much he tried to avoid his creator, he always stumbled across the satanic spawn. Those eyes etched into his memory... eyes of a demon... eyes of a servant... eyes of his father...
Father. Hm. Perhaps this was stretched. Surely the man wasn't his biological father? Well that was obviously. But then... he wasn't who he used to be either. He had long ago changed. He had taken that step when Lestat had ripped out his heart, slipped it into his hand, and squeezed the screaming pump... Though he had left, Lestat still had a hold on him. In some unseen chain he was bound to the other. Was this why he had come to the city? Was Lestat here?
Optics shut slowly. He listened to the screams of the city, the tears of a child that would go hungry tonight, the cry of a young girl losing her virginity to a gang rape... Why had he come to such a vile town? Nothing but sinners and the suffering thrived there. Vampiric as he may be, he had never lost the emotions that separated him from the others. He felt sympathy for the ones that got kicked down, he felt sorrow when he glimpsed at families, he felt yearning when he hid in the shadows as children played in the sun, he felt the lust of watching a woman pass by with her figure flowing with fullness, he felt the sorrow of knowing he would never again join them...
Standing, the wind caught his hair. He turned his eyes to the moon. The light filled his face. Lunar light... This was all he would ever know. His loose under shirt pulled at his shoulders as they flowed behind him. His jeans, tight and ripped in several places, provided enough flexibility to maneuver as he did.
Jumping from the roof he disappeared from the eyes of the moon. It watched as its child fell into the alleys. He had joined the misery and was now walking within the sea of sorrows. Some treaded the water, others drowned... Him? He was immortal. Should he drowned he would rise. That was the curse Lestat put upon him.
A sudden need tugged at him. It was not hunger as you would feel in the stomach. He had been stolen that sense as soon as he joined the vampric others. Jumping from the alley, he caught the air. Moving swiftly, he flew over the city. Pity or not he needed to feed. He spotted a man holding a gun to a woman's head and flew down. To feast on sinners was not as wrong as hungrily licking the blood from the innocent, right?
This is what Luis liked to think as he dropped from the sky and snatched the man. A scream ended in a gurgle as the woman fled. He removed his fangs from the flesh of the man. Suckling gently at the holes, he fed with polite slowness. Was he to be forever cursed like this? Was this all he would ever know?
Questions such as these had answers. You need only ask the right person. And that person... was Lestat...
(Omg, sorry it has taken me forever. Can you say busy? Oh, excuses, excuses...)
Watching as Lestat disappeared into the crowds of the living, Aurelia took off in the other direction. She had told him she was going to hunt, but they both knew it was just a lie. She was still new and inexperienced, and although the lust for blood was strong and always ebbing her on, she found little excitement in the feast. It was as if she was some mutated form of a vegetarian, yet forced to eat 'meat' in order to survive. Not necessarily feeling apologetic towards the victim, she killed them nonetheless out of pure jealousy. Aurelia hated to think that she was envious of this scum that wandered the streets during the night, but Aurelia knew that she was part of the riff-raff that littered the alley-ways.
The monotonous murmur of humans strutting the city had started to bore her. She was restricted to Paris's city limits, but even that wasn't enough. Aurelia felt contained, almost as if she were some type of... monster, locked in a cage. No. That was just an exaggeration, she told herself. But then again, why wouldn't Lestat let her roam freely? Surely not because of some group of humans; she was immortal, they were not, she found that self-explanatory and still didn't believe that Lestat could fear them. Why was he holding onto her if he was just going to push her away? Did he want her to leave again? The thought of it was always on her mind. She could just go off to hunt and never return. It would be so easy, so thoughtless, so...
A shriek ripped the lulled undertone of voices and the thick scent of fresh blood tore Aurelia away from her thoughts. Screams were nothing to jump about, and neither was the smell of blood, but something was wrong. There was no commotion as there usually was, no gunshot, no thrown punches, nothing. No sign of any struggle, it was a silent bloodshed that Curiosity took hold and she followed the scent down the street. Aurelia pushed through the crowds of raunchy humans trying to find exactly where this killing had happened. It was dark alley after empty dark alley that she passed and began to grow anxious. She wanted to know, but didn't know why she did so much. Aurelia could smell the certain delicious aroma getting closer with each step. Knowing whatever it was that had caused such a sudden and quiet death was near and as she turned off the street Aurelia smirked as she found what she had been looking for.
The man before her was quite handsome, one she would probably choose to hunt, if he were human that is. The second she had laid eyes on him, Aurelia knew that he could not possibly be living. His skin seemed to glow in the darkness as it were iridescent, but it was not just his appearance that set her off, it was what he was holding. Another man, dead and limp in his arms with the sweet crimson still dripping from a gash in his flesh. She had never met another vampire, unless it was through Lestat first. It would make sense for the one before her wasn't just in Paris for the views, but of course for her creator. Pondering for a moment, she figured that he was harmless in a sense that they were both of the same race and in Paris for the same reason. She wondered though if Lestat would mind, or be angry for socializing with one he might not approve of. But as she quickly shook that thought from her mind, Aurelia walked gracefully yet slowly toward him with an eyebrow raised in unspoken question.
TigerEyes
Lestat suddenly woke from his trance set on my the stars shining high above him...the presence was stronger now, he knew he had sensed someone from his past and now he knew it to be true.
He quickly gather himself up and jumped from the tower the to ground below making sure he stayed out of sight. The need for blood over came him but he needed to ignore it as much as possible. If this person truly was in Paris it could mean chaos for his plans later. He knew if Aurelia came across him she'd just discover the true way to abandon him and as much as it pained him to say so he needed her.
Lestat sped off into the crowd trying to pin point this man.
(okay looking for a post from K....anything?)
K Tragedy
(Eep! Sorry! I've had so many doctor's appointments lately. I'm so fed up with it. But I'm back!)
The crimson blood ran down. Droplet after droplet taunting him. It pulled at his gut like a stomach pain. He could no longer feel that need, but it still had the affect upon his memory. In mental hunger he drove his fangs deeper. A drug of sorts, he needed to thick liquid pouring down his throat. He needed to gurgle on the red clots, to fall into the life of the other, to cure that narcotic need.
How does one describe an addiction of life? This is what humans have been craving to know. Everyone has addictions. In that one sentence someone could influence a child into cigarettes. Everyone had an addiction. Only those cunning enough and with eyes that peer into one's soul may see this. Your childhood protectors would shield it from your eyes. They would say addictions were bad. In a way, yes. But addictions saved us from ourselves in one way or another.
A smoker is addicted to cigarettes. A drunk addicted to alcohol. A murderer addicted to killing. An arsenic addicted to flame. A painter addicted to painting. A photographer addicted to taking photos. A mother addicted to her child. Lovers addicted to love. A masochist addicted to sex. A fighter addicted to fighting. A gunman addicted to gunshots. A husband addicted to his wife. A child addicted to soda. A mentally wounded teenager addicted to heroine. A suicidal young girl addicted to Death...
Was it wrong to say all addictions were bad? Most parents would tell you 'no' to protect you from becoming addicted to something harmful. Was painting not harmful? Was your imagination not harmful? Was love not harmful? Parents are wrong. Children should be exposed to all addictions, so that they may learn from such things.
This was what he had been pulled away from. Never before had he had such an addiction. Blood was now his craving. It was his curse. He needed it to live. If he had no blood, he would die. This was not the mental decomposing that one would go to an asylum for. He would truly die. His body would deform and he would be clawing at his scalp to free himself.
What institution would house a vampire? What drug could he take to cure himself? What binds would hold him?
Finding nothing to answer his questions, he continued to lap at the man's blood. Though he hated it, though he felt for the man's life that he stole, a choice was out of his grasp. Choice had been snatched from his hands in that one breath of living dead he had been stolen of everything dear to him.
Wiping the blood from his upper lip, it stained along his hand. Dripping down his wrist. The crimson droplets fell to the street. The man - drained and frozen in the terror-stricken face he had been left in - lay down in a pile of trash. He was full without really being full. He had no energy to think of how to describe the feeling when he knew he was content.
A footstep behind him caught his auds. Turning swiftly, his muscles tensed as a cat's would. His nerves sparked suddenly. His brain froze in the fight or flight response. Baring his fangs, his eyes found a young woman approaching her. Her body moved like a feather fluttering from the roof of a building. Her eyes questioned him. Normally he would attack to save himself. Befriending mortals was a mistake. He had made that error before and would never do such again.
However, her scent bound him to his place. His lips eased back over his fangs slowly. She was a vampire much like himself. Her pale complexion was unrivaled by the mortals that he walked amongst. Her beauty was also a give-away. Only those that suffer true death held such beauty within them. Perhaps in this one small gift they were given for never again taking a true breath, or feeling their heartbeat, they were given mercy.
In a fluid-influenced motion, Luis took a bow before her. He spread out his arm in a sweeping movement. It was strange to find a vampire acting like such a gentleman, but that was just how the man acted.
"Luis, m'lady.."
That was all he spoke to her. He had learned a few words of British, but his own language was still strong in his vocals. Would she understand his tongue? He doubted that. Other persons seemed hesitant when they heard him speak.
Still in a bow, his hair hanging over his jewels, he hid the look of worry on his face. Something else was coming. This vampire mistress was not the only face he would meet that night. He mentally prepared himself, while trying to let his bodice remain cool and at ease before the lady he stood before.
Lestat pushed through the crowds of people leaving the theatres surrounding the area. He walked across bridge and pass Notre Dame, he paused for a seconded glancing around at the architecture, he knew vampire hide in this area but the one he searched for wasn't here.
He kept going along his course, crossing another bridge and once again joining the busy streets of Paris. He caught glimpse of Aurelia, then when he sped up to find her, she had disappeared in the darkness. He stopped pushing his way passed a young couple giggling, he leaned against a brick building trying to focus his energy on Aurelia, he knew she wasn't far but someone else was distracting her thoughts making it extremely difficult to find her. It was then that he released she was in fact with the man he had hoped had not found her yet.
" Louis what are you planning..."
A smirk lingered across Aurelia's pale lips as the man before her tensed at her presence. He didn't seem very comfortable her being there, but that made no difference to her, she was used to others feeling uneasy in her presence. She quickly became fascinated with the creature that stood before her, sensing something strangely different about him. True, he was the same beautiful monster as she was, but the fact that he held something unlike herself slightly annoyed her.
He, no doubt, was here for Lestat.. Why else would a vampire come to a city such as this? It was rare for her to ever come across another, actually, she realized with a grimace, she had never met a vampire unless it was through her creator. It was for her own protection, he had told her once, but Aurelia had never wanted to believe him. He just wanted her form himself, how selfish and unreasonable of him.
Speak of the devil, and the devil shall come. Aurelia felt her sire coming closer, yet she couldn't understand why. Of course he would know of this visitor, but Lestat was never one to greet someone. He waited for them to find him first, something Aurelia found ridiculous and that it shouldn't be honored. But why was he now frantically searching for the two? This was very uncharacteristic of him. Lestat was hiding something. Something she should have caught earlier than this.
Realizing what was so different of the man before her, Aurelia stopped as he bowed and introduced himself to her. A thick accent caught her a bit off guard, but she comprehended pretty well. Louis appeared very formal and old fashioned, probably because of the time period he was changed, but was stunning nonetheless. Once again she strode closer to him, intrigued by a distinguishable trait, one that, although the two were very alike in many ways, set them apart. He was not tied to another. She was. Aurelia could feel her childish jealousy spreading through her.
"What a pleasure to meet you, Louis. But..." she paused for a moment, making sure he understood her well enough, then continued,"before we get any further, would you mind explaining why Lestat is in such a hurry to meet you?"
Aurelia already knew the basic answer to her own question, but still liked things clarified by others. She could only hope that Lestat was not as good as a tracker as he claimed to be.
Lestat stopped dead on the street, she had done what he needed to find her. She had spoken, he could easily pick her thoughts up when she spoke. He turned down an alley and aped off toward her location. As he approached her where abouts he slowed down and kept to the shadows. He hoped the other vampire, his own creation would not be aware enough to pick him out, which he already knew to be impossible. Louis was so aware, so attentive, and so in tuned with the world around him, and after their parting in New Orleans so many years ago, after Lestat killed Claudia, Louis' true love and "daughter", he knew Louis would have to come with a purpose to find Lestat and he knew Louis would be hoping for this.
