No PIS/CIS. No prep. Bloodlust on.

Amazo has absorbed the powers of the entire Justice League (every member excluding the Spectre and the Phantom Stranger), the JSA, the Outsiders, the Teen Titans, the Shadowpact, the Secret Six, as well as the powers of the entire Villains United Team (Pre-IC). He has also absorbed the technology of Brainiac, New God Technology and Imperiux technology to house all his newfound powers.

Amazo.

Protege would take them both.

Amazo is a poser. He loses to the Justice League doesn't he?

He wins and loses some.

However the Collective lost to a team full of friggin' street levelers and only three big guns.

Big Sexy
Can't really tell, the collective wasn't in control most of the fight. He really had no comprehension of the power he had. Most of the abilities he displayed were just reflexive. If he had full control he would have wiped them all out.

King_Mungi
Collective also annihilated Alpha Flight and Binary, so meh! High and low showings

Iron Man really shouldn't have been able to do shit to the Collective.

Anyway, Amazo wins this in a curbstomp.

King_Mungi
Well technically the Collective has more powers that this upgraded Amazo. However, he was only just understanding his powers before he was stopped. He didn't even know he could fly till Sentry threw him in the air

Validus
Spite much?

Shit, Amazo is usually a loser and he got his ass owned in JLA #6 but I still liked how they gave examples of potential uses of his powers like Atom's size, plus Wally's speed and Superman's strength = a lot of ownage being handed out.

Yeah that was pretty cool how he was going to use that and they were afraid of him doing it so they tried to saw of his legs.

The one thing i always wondered was could Amazo absorb the powers of those who know Magic? Zatanna, Fate, Faust, etc?

And guess which character he decided to use for prep time? shifty

The only example I know of him absorbing magic is with Captain Marvel. Zauriel wasn't off limits for him either but I'm not sure if that counts.

Amazo drops him with ease.

Amazo needs a respect thread.

He also combined Superman's strength with Flash's speed and Batman's skills.

Ya, i figured that much. Hell, if he were able to do that, hed have no trouble beating the JLA and anyone else.

A "well written" Collective, would have never lost in the way he did... Hell with so much potential, Collective could have been one of the most powerful forces in Marvel IMO.

But like so be would-be powerhouses before him....... The Collective inevitably went nowhere. sad

Anyhoo, Amazo ftw.

Considering we didn't know what powers the Collective gained pretty much.

I'm still waiting for a well written Amazo. He damn sure shouldn't be getting his head ripped off in a non-fight with Black Adam. Even with just the powers of the Big 7, the guy would be a total force.

Amazo has the potential to be literally unbeatable IMO, (which is more then likely the main reason DC has yet to write him the way he needs to be written).

I've never actually seen Amazo in comics. Anyone have scans of these feats people have been listing.

DC NEEDS to completely revamp his costume.

It's just one of the worst there is.

JLA #27 I believe it is.... Is great if you're looking for some of his higher showings.

King_Mungi
Some of his lowest showings is getting beat by just Batman sad

Huh? It's a high showing that Batman allowed Amazo to last a few rounds with him. He IS Batman afterall...

I know, I was just pointing it out the fact that DC also needs to change his costume.

TricksterPriest
IMO, the best, and probably the only full potential showing of what Amazo COULD do, is JLU Amazo. Now, that's extrapolating abit. But........Is Amazo potentially THAT good? blink

This is JLA #27. Treating 35 members of the JLA like nothing and this is the Morrison JLA and anyone familiar with his JLA knows how powerful and crafty he wrote those guys to be so that just adds to it IMO.

I agree, Morison's League where on another level.

IMO the best depiction of Amazo i have seen, was in the cartoon. Most powerful being in the universe, I think he was described as. Although I liked Metzlers creative use of how Amazo could potentially use his powers, the last issue itself was pretty meh, and riddled with plot holes. Like how the **** was Batman able to cut off one of his legs with one of his bat utensils. Superman/Wonder Woman durability, HELLO !

I was thinking the same thing. I was wondering if it had something to do with him using Red Tornado's body possibly.
